Lisa: At least you checked in! I know what you mean. . I dream about carbs. . I didn't eat very much today.. Cooked another turkey. . still have chicken left but nothing really floated my boat today. . I'm having a captn and diet. .(someone has to support Al!). . I know that's not on plan but I just needed something, ya know! I'm cleaning my closet again. Although I haven't lost anything, I am still weeding out my so/so clothes. .Huge for me. .I'm rather partial to my fat things but I know they need to go. God. .if ever gain any weight back. .I'm in big, big trouble. I will have nothing to wear and it scares the bejeezers out of me! Time to let go!!

By the way.. Big, huge step for me today. .I got rid of all my stretchy pants and big jeans. .including shorts! Errrh. . .I cannot gain an ounce. .

I'll be back on LC starting right now! I had Captain and diet last night too! I am really proud of you for getting rid of your bigger clothes!!! I haven't done that yet, but I did go down to the basement and pulled out my thinner clothes the other day and I checked them on me. They are still tighter than I would like them, but I hope by next week that they will fit a little better! I know I put myself behind a few days so I need to be extra good! IM, Don't get discouraged because you haven't lost, just keep on track and it will come! you have done such a wonderful job!

It's okay, cut out the shoulder pads... aren't 80's clothes coming back in style anyway? HE HE HE! maybe not! I only shop at thrift stores when I am losing weight or gaining it for that fact! I only buy new when I have maintained my weight for at least a half a yr!

I am going to make sure I log in and post everyday to help keep me on track! I have never had a support system before in my weight loss journey so this is really awesome! Each of you are just incredible people and I feel blessed to have this forum and the support of fellow Low Carbers!
IM, It must be nice to have the support or buddy system. I wish my b/f would lc with me! It would make things a bit easier! You mentioned that the two of you have stalled. Have you guys tried to cut out artificial sweeteners? I was told that sometimes if you detox your body for a few days from the artificial sweeteners that it can get you going again. I know, take away the only sweet stuff allowed, but it might help..

hmmmm maybe that's why I have stalled a bit, I am having almost a full pack of trident watermelon flavor everyday maybe I should cut it out i will try and see if there is a difference.

Nermo/Lisa: I've heard the same thing about sweetners. .

Doesn't it just kill you compared to the garbage we used to eat that a little 'ole piece of gum is taboo!!!

i am stuck and went up a little don't know why I think I am eating too many eggs, is there a limit to how much eggs we can eat?

Hi Nermo! That always happens after the first couple of weeks. Don't worry. Just keep on plan. (maybe cut the gum just in case tho!) I don't think there's a limit to how many eggs we can have--at least I hope not! I always have 2 a day-sometimes 3-depends. I think they have .6 carbs in each and def more fat tham chick/turkey. But they're handy!!

OMG GT- I am having nearly a dozen eggs a day not 2 or 3. I know that is probably a lot , I scramble the eggs with my ground beef and beef. but because there is no fat a lot of them stick to the pan.

Ok now that i wrote that i see why i am not losing- leave it to me to over eat , I so Suck

I don't know about the eggs stalling--I mean that's still only about 6grms of carbs....but actually when I think about it there's prob too many cals allright-when I read first I thought you meant half dozen--not 12! Yum! I do like eggs!!
but seriously tho-they have between 80 and 100 cals each--so that's 960-1200cals before the beef or anything. So yeah maybe cut them back a bit. I keep my cals low...600-800max but that is cos I'm seriously scared of putting weight back on! But I don't think you should really keep them that low--but maybe about 1400/1500-that seems to be what it says in "diet books".. But then some people don't count atall and still lose...so dunno!! I would cut them a little bit tho!

Nermo: I am not sure about the eggs either but there isn't anything that says to limit them. I usually always have boiled eggs on hand all the time for a quick snack, too. I'll do a little searching in the stillman's archives and see if I can find anything substantial. .

OK.. we had family day today. and the troops decided they wanted to go to the Movies after Church. .Well. . you know, I cannot go to the movie without Popcorn. .my all time favorite, my drug. .my "I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner (which I have). .my red light food. .So, what does the big dummy do? Orders the big bucket . .not once, not twice. . but three refills!. . Does it count that there was 6 of us eating it? I think not because I was the holder of the sacred popcorn. Does it matter that I've been so good and weighed in at my posted weight this morning? Did I not think about all the clothes I just got rid of and the fact that I have no wiggle room in any of my skirts? Did I even consider that I was wearing my cutest ever Hello Kitty T-shirt, which is a tad bid on the tight side and my skinny jeans? Whatever!! Whatever!!! The only good thing about the day was that I got to spend it with my boys and not think about work for almost 3 hours! Avatar was a long movie (but good).. . If you go, bring your will power or wear your nose plugs. . . The popcorn hits me in the parking lot even before we get out of the car!!!

Well. .what's done is done. . I know I'll pay for it tomorrow (salt. .and water) . but I'm done eating for today. I had pork for breakfast and will make sure I drink a lot of water, tea and stay away from anything salty for the rest of the day. .

You're not alone out there Lisa! this was the weekend my daughter, her bf, my son and his gf all visited. I took ya'lls advice and tried not to obsess over my choices, but just enjoy there visit.... I did enjoy myself, maybe too much, but didn't go as overboard as I could have.

Today is back on track....fixed a huge breakfast for the group, but only had a couple slices of bacon and scrambled eggs. Everyone is gone now, so I am just chilling and trying to down as much water as I can.

Getting on here does help Lisa...you were wise to seek out your lc friends...

I'm back!! I think Im still drunk...heehee

I partied all night long and it was great! Danced til almost 2 in the morning. Legs are sore today so Im counting it as exercise! I ended up ordering vodka and club soda and sneaking in my grapefruit CL. So good. Everyone should try it! The fizzy was a nice treat!

At the restaurant I ordered the NY Strip and asked for a side of grilled chicken. That was kinda funny. The nice thing was the waitress didnt charge me extra. (I was only with hubby at that point so I didnt have to pretend to eat the veggies...)

Sorry to hear about some of the slips. Lets lock up our pantries and ban the theaters! We will get through this!!!!

we should have a challenge...next person that has an unplanned cheat has to post a pic of their backside. :blush: Normal refeed days wont count against us, or fruit and veggies, but spontaneous crispy cremes will get us on the front page. anyone have the guts to say their in?

GT: I got my Tshirt from Avon. . . .It is an XL and close to size. . maybe more like a Large. . .I was surprised, .and I know what you mean by everything being sized for tiny! I can rarely find anything which is why I stick to bags, planners and Jewels. . Heheh

I am so in on the cheating thing and having to post a pic of my backside LOL.

Dustin oh Dustin where are you??? The man is MIA!

I am roasting a 8lb turkey breast in the oven and have a ham going in the crock pot. I pulled apart a roasted chicken and have it packaged for the week! I am going to do the same with the turkey and ham too. And I am making some turkey soup! Thinking about you al here

I got some lowfat part skim cheese sticks and I boiled up a dozen eggs! Since I need to eat in my car and between patients I am going to be prepared this time!

I noticed something odd too! The day i was horrible eating donuts and rice crispie treats I didn't drink my normal 90 oz of water! I barely drank anything! Has anyone experienced this or is this just me freaking out???
