Hi Im2! Sorry you're feeling down I have no idea how they lose..but if you read the posts they have amazing results. I didn't do it because I do wonder if eating all that sat fat can be healthy-well long-term anyway.
I read a couple of studies tho about low carb versus low fat and they keep saying you lose more with fat in the diet--people who ate low fat-ie high carb gained .2lbs a day those on low fat and high protein lost .6 a day and those on 80-90% fat lost .9lbs a day--so maybe there is something in the fat thing! Maybe you should add some-a lot of people would say the more you add the more you lose--that would account for loses here with the ground beef-because that's quite fatty-well it is in Ireland anyway!
But everyone is different-I suppose you have to find what works for you-some people really do lose on WW.
Some people just lose really fast-especially if you read the other threads-they're just lucky I guess!
I reckon you should make that appointment with the Dr. tho just to make sure there's nothing stopping the weight-loss.
You are really brilliant tho-you haven't had the results that the others have had and yet you haven't given up-I think that's great--I know I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. You're the real hero of us...cos it's always easier to continue when things are going well...

Gotta say tho Stillmans is quite like KimKims--low-cal, low-fat,low- everything!--and using the nausia to confirm it's working (i do that tho-hate the nausia really, but then the other half of me goes goody!)--posts say she stole her idea from it and tweaked it...and Stillmans was a great fan of anorexia!

Feeling much better today the headache is all gone and I even lost a little bit of weight. 2.6 pounds to be exact

I do QWL, that is much diet of choice. I know Dr. Stillman has written others out there including ones with more fat in them. Whenever I am "cheating" on QWL it is usually with butter to cook my eggs in or adding cheese to my eggs. Saturday is bacon and eggs day in our house, so on that day it is all about the fat. I don't think once a week will hurt me too much

I can't image what Dr. Stillman would be thinking now, he must be rolling in his grave with all the "super-sizing" that we have done to our food. IMHO I wouldn't necessarily say he was supported anorexia, I just think he believed that in general we eat far more than we ever need to. Just my opinion mind you. His stay slim eating supplied plenty of calories once you got rid of all the ones you were keeping on your hips and thighs (in my case)
I think his stay-slim eating plan is much like WW and with a lot of things telling you the points it could be very easy to follow.

Have a great day, you bunch of losers!

Good morning Everyone!

Everyone made good points. I don't think Stillman wants us to become anorexic.... just be healthy and get our weight down to more healthy levels. I agree that everyone's body and mindset is completely different, but we all have a common ground... a desire to lose weight and improve ourselves. For me, it is to stop my back pain, improve my energy levels and increase my self confidence and self esteem. All of those is happening to me. I feel better and I feel better about myself when I look in the mirror. I see this thinner guy coming out.... my double chin is now a single chin.

I want to make a formal announcement. I weighed myself this morning.... my weight is now 232 pounds. I am adjusting my stats. If I can lose 4 more pounds then I would have lost 40 pounds. Then I will have 8 pounds left before I reach my mini goal of 220.

I want to end this message with this: Stay strong and keep up the good work! The support here is fantastic!!!

Good morning everyone!

Just wanted to tell you guys that I am loving the support on here! Also, I weigh 3.5 pounds lighter this morning! AFTER JUST ONE DAY! Yesterday was my first day but I sort of did *******. Today is my first official Stillmans day. Even if it's mostly water weight, I don't care because this is so motivating (and your support helps a lot too)!!! Have a good day everyone!

I totally agree Dustin - there have been many times where I wanted to binge but coming on this forum and the support has totally stopped me.

So you have lost 36 pounds since November Dustin is that right?

Well done!

Hi Mrs. Nadal,

Yup, you are correct. I started my diet on November 21st. On November 20th, I went to my doctor about a cough that will never go away. He gave me antibiotics and told me that my weight is at 268. That shocked me. I was wearing size 48 pants and those 48 pants are starting to become more snug as I creep up to size 50s.

So I threw myself into Stillman's and joined this group. I fell off the horse about 4 times, but I got right back on.

He was an advocator for Anorexia--"eating as few cals as possible is a noble desire!" It's onn the net. I prob think tho he prob meant the real definition of Anorexia-having no apetite etc-not the pychological part-but his QWL is on pro-Ana sites! The good Dr. would be proud!

Hi GT,

That's cool, using that British term, stone! I gotta look up what stone exactly means, but I've seen that word used when I'm browsing British sites.

Hey everyone! Boy did I pick the wrong time to log off last night.

IM2- Hey girlie. We're gonna get to the bottom of this! I can't add any more to what Cat, GT, and Dustin expressed. If you'd like to post exactly what you're eating, including the vitamins, maybe we could critique and tweak? I want a few days worth. My first thought is to try not to have any ketchup or cheese for 7 days. No condiments except mustard. I'm gonna take this a little further and against the Stillman way, but eat a little more fat. Ground beef, chicken legs, stew meat. Thats it. Just for a week. If we still fail you, I will have to second GTs thought to go to the doctor. I want you to be a skinny B, but more importantly a healthy one! Its worth a shot...yummy chicken legs?

feebie- I think the biggest difference between ******* and stillmans is the calorie cap. Eat until full of the legal foods. Dont count calories. and my personal suggestion, dont eat ketchup. You'll find in a few days, this is very easy. RIGHT GUYS???

Dustin- you are doing a great job. I dont know how you do it on a couple cans of tuna, but I understand why when it works so good. Make sure your energy is up, if its not, please eat a little more.

To the rest- Im glad you're here! Keep checking in and keep truckin along. It may seem like its been an eternity since we ate something other than chicken and tuna, but one day you'll look in the mirror and have exactly what you want. We're doing it this time! No excuses!

Hi Nadal! Yeah I started in Nov. but not really with pure Stills-I used to eat eggs for breakfast, chicken and some small salad-lettuce, cucumberand peppers for lunch and dinner, and sometimes I did have mayo!
Then I really stalled im May so I cut out the veggies-so kind of since then- I did one or 2 Fat Fasts along the way too!
In August tho-at home on hols- I ate the salad again and yoghurt and berries and 1 or 2-ryvittas and lost a lot-went down 2 dress sizes(so might have to go back to that!) Then back to Stillmans-until Dec---when there were cheats--and lots of them! Hee!
So always more Stillmans than Atkins!

Hi al,

My energy levels is great! I had 5 can yesterday. Today, I plan to have 6 cans. I'm following TeaLady's advice about changing the amount of calories to keep my body moving!

Have fun on your shopping trip!!

IM, I'm thinking about what you posted. I agree with Al if you post what you are eating... maybe you may be eating some hidden ingredient that may causing you to stall... just like Aspartame (Nutrasweet) in my case.
