Exercise on Stillmans?
Hello!
I have been eating low/moderate carb for a while, but have hit a major weight loss plateau. (even while counting points ala Weight Watchers!) I am considering switching over to Stillmans for to mix things up and get the old scale moving again, but have a question for you experienced Stillman-ers. I *love* to work out, and generally do kickboxing/Zumba classes and some walking and light weightlifting 5-6 times per week? Do you think I will have the energy to maintain a workout schedule like this on Stillmans, or would it be best to dial it down while I do the plan (light maybe some walking and yoga/pilates instead?) Thank you SO much for any insight you can provide! ![]() |

I can tell you. . You will have way more energy!! As a former lifetime WW--errr, I was worried about several things when I switched it up with Stillmans. Once you get over the initital "carb/sugar withdrawal" . you will have way more energy and you will sleep much better. Plus, you are never really hungry. I don't understand the science behind it (I was paranoid that I wouldn't get enough to eat when I switched as WW gives so many options) but I have never been hungry like I used to on WW. . .I am currently doing the 14 Day Shape-up Plan (just started this one) and the Doc encourages exercise to increase weight loss. If you are interested, jump on the December posts and join other Losers!!

Thank you SO much for your input, IM2fat, I really appreciate that. (and especially your perspective as a former WW-er) Your stats look great. Is that all lost on Stillman?
Now I am even more excited motivated to get with the Stillman program. I will be beginning Monday Dec. 7 and would love to come join you guys in your Dec. chat. Thank you again! |

Kiley: Yep. .I started with WW when I was 18 years old. Things happen. I lost my weight several times (after several kids) but kid number 4 did a number on me. It took me 6 years of up and down and joining and re-joining to decide that I needed to do something else. I started with Atkins and had some loss (nothing major) but wasn't losing enough. . I switched to Stillmans because the high fat content in Atkins was really bothering me. Once you come to terms with what you can/can't have. it isn't so bad. My metabolism is really messed up (I think mostly due to my yo-yo dieting over the years) so I lose extremely slow. I'm lucky for 1/2 pound a week. If you check out the board, many of the others are going crazy. .9 pounds in a week. .Sheesshh. .I keep plugging away at it because I know it will work! I am hoping to recycle back to a ww-type plan but doubt I will be a carbaholic like I was. . I never thought I could give them up.. but I did! It gets easier every day especially when the results are so good. Yep. join us . . they are a funny bunch!
