Question about quanities of food
I am confused, I read on the other lc pages that you need to eat 1200 - 1900 calories in order to lose weight on lc diets. But stillmans states that you only eat when hungry & only enough to not be hungry & these lc diets make me loose my appetite. I could go for days in full ketosis with eating only one small meal a day & not feel actual hunger for a long time, because food makes me kind of sick in full ketosis. What is the answer here?

I believe your calories may depend on your current weight and how much you need to lose. From what I understand Stillman's is a quick weight loss plan and you don't eat near as many calories because you are not that hungry. But, then if you are not careful with balancing it all out you can gain. You have to kind of play with what works best for you! In my experience - water has been one of the keys to the success of Stillman's for me.
When I was on plain Atkins and ate 1900 cals or so a day I would not lose. As a matter of fact my weight went up and down the same pound for 3 weeks!! So, I started Stillmans to calm my fluctuations and I have lost consistently over the last week! I would encourage you to read our December thread - like I mentioned in the last post. There is so much encouragement and fun over there! |
