I am a guilty saver here

Just like I save my little clothes for motivation to get back into them. I am so cheap I hate to get rid of them.

My clothes in my closet range from a 4 to a 12! That's several sizes. I have so much that is getting too big for me right now and I am so hesitant to get rid of them just yet. Really this much weight loss feels like a dream!

The last time I lost this much I bought all new clothes. Then, stress and life consumed me and I couldn't wear any of them I gave them away all but a couple of really nice things. Now those are fitting me again!

It's a tough decision for sure!!

Chicken was good. Thanks again IM2 for suggesting we start with frozen. Moist and falling apart! Instead of my usual dry and shredded to chicken bits. Very yummy this time and it was ready after 6 hrs. (Im sure 5 wouldve worked too)

The juice/sauce was really good too. Xantham Gum will thicken it up for 0 carbs.... this would go for the onion soup mix or teriyaki recipes..

AL - my onion soup chicken is definitely gonna be a staple right next to the lean ground beef.

I almost always see a loss after I eat my lean ground beef with my low sugar ketchup

Not sure I can try the Terayaki chicken - I am not big on sweet tasting meat. But, then I didn't think I would try that lasagna either and I did

So, I have been reading through all the Stillmans posts and did you all realize that some of the former Stillmans people had one salad a day with low/no cal dressing? I wonder what would happen if I did that on days when we go out to eat? So far I have been sticking to plain chicken breast. Just wondering

Stillman has numerous diets in his book and he claims they all will promote loss. He just makes sure to add that QWL is the quickest.

I dont see any problem with having salads. you're close to goal anyway so it might be good to lead your body into the next phase slowly...the pounds may come off slower but hopefully stay far away longer! strike that. FOREVER!

Just had a thought. Wouldnt onion soup mix be delish in our ground beef???? Of course, we'd be taking in more of the sugar and cornstarch thats in the mix, but my oh my, I bet it would be awesome.

Good evening!

Boy, what a day! I did not write about this, but it is a good time for me to start. Last week, I went to my doctor and had a blood test. I went back earlier today to discuss the results. I am very relieved that everything is good.... my white and red cell count. My thyroid numbers is good. I only have 2 things to work on, my blood pressure and cholesterol. My cholesterol level is a little high. There are no red flags that will affect my health for now.

My doctor complimented me on my weight loss and he wanted me to shoot for 220 pounds and then shoot for 200 pounds. I'm already at 239 so I don't have that much more to go before I hit 220. He wanted me to lose more weight so I can begin to lower my cholesterol level and get my blood pressure down. He wanted me to go to CVS or Wal-Mart to use their blood pressure machines (at the pharmacy) and start recording my blood pressure results on a weekly basis.

So this is a big load off my mind and then I can concentrate on losing some more weight and not have that thought in the back of my head about my health. Weighing 268 pounds and having to deal with back pain, achy joints and heartburn and just feeling like crap overall. It's wonderful to have more energy, more self esteem and just feel better!

Only 2 days left to New Year!!! I plan to weigh myself first thing on January 1st and then post the official number here! So, let's start the New Year with a positive attitude!!

I still have all of my "fat" and "thin" clothes. My fat clothes are in my closet and my thin clothes are stored at the closet in the guest bedroom. I think I should be fitting into my size 42 pants real soon!! I have this nice casual jacket and pull over sweater that I want to wear on my blind date next month. I think I look good in this outfit and it will be great to be able to wear those clothes and feel GOOD about myself!

I was so proud when my fat jeans didn't fit, then I tried some of my smaller pants and THOSE didn't fit either! So, I had to buy new pants or I just looked weird! I gave my older fat girl clothes to Goodwill. I am never going back to that size EVER! So, no reason to keep them.

On a even better note, the new pants I bought are getting baggy on me! Woohoo!!!

im still sick. I feel like Ive been hit extra hard with the colds lately....My symptoms seem to be worse than the rest of the family most of the time. Wonder if it all boils down to my dieting.... really stinks....

Im not changing anything cause I know this too shall pass. Just complaining...

down another pound today to 126. Ended up eating chicken and tuna all day. Too tired to cook anything else....oh....and a glass of wine.

Hey Al, I hope you will feel better soon! Maybe you may want to take extra Vit E, C and Zinc to boost your immune system? I always do this when I feel like I am going to catch a cold. I take one tablet of E and Zinc. I take 3-4 tablets of C every 4 hours or so.

Today is Day #4! I have a slight headache. But I do feel like I'm burning off fat.

Good morning! Almost afternoon that is

AL - I am so sorry you are sick! Maybe your immune system is just low and hasn't been able to rebuild itself. Don't let it get you down Awesome news about another pound! You better change your stats!!

Dustin - I am so pleased the doctor's report was positive! You can def lose the weight he wants and more if that's what you desire I had that headache yesterday for most of the day. I finally came home from work at lunch took something and slept it off. I felt a million times better by the time I got up and drank some more coffee too!

I haven't weighed yet this morning. I had a day off and took advantage of the chance to catch up on all my lost sleep! I just woke up and it's 11:30 here!!! What a bum, huh? Anyway I always wait a little before I weigh because I feel swollen when I first wake up, weird I know

me again....

Well, roughly 30 minutes later and I survived my first workout. tried out level one and I cheated a bit. I knew I was out of shape but now I know Im completely and utterly, out of shape. My legs feel wobbly and my arms are a bit shaky. I didnt even use the 3 pound weights. I think the cool down stretching was harder than the cardio. Did my crunches on the couch....

Im still proud of myself though, and I'm gonna try to keep it up. It gets easier every day, right??

Hope everyone is having a great night!! I'll try to check in later.

You guys have been busy!! Wowsers!

congrats Al! Way to bust a move! I bought myself a new exercise DVD last night too but now I can't find it. . Perhaps its rolling around the back of my van! . . It is only the walk tape (Leslie Sansone. ) .I'm not quite ready for the full body hurt shredder thing. . Leslie does a pretty good job of getting some cardio in. I used to do her tapes all the time.. .anyone can do them if you've never tried.. I bet Netflix has 'em

OK. GET RID OF THE FAT CLOTHES. . DO NOT KEEP THEM. . they serve no purpose except take up space.. Seriously, if you gain anything back, you will never want to wear them again anyway. ,. Donate them to Goodwill or Salvation Army.. recycle and get some new "used" items to get you through. I've seriously been doing that with every size I've been and I feel so much better wearing clothes that actually fit! I always, always, alwasy wore an XL sweatshirt of XL Tshirt (even when I weighed Less) and have since found that I look much better in a smaller size! show off your hard work.. and enjoy it!

Congrats to everyone on their great losses! I can honestly say that I have no idea where I stand at this point! I haven't weighed and thought I would on New Years DAy but I'm not! I think I'll shoot for January 4th and then go back to weighing every single day.. it seemed to help mentally, ya know?

My son's Birthday is tomorrow so we've promised him movies (EEeeek Popcorn. .i just can't do it. ). dinner, etc. and he's only 7 so you know we have to have cake or cupcakes or something! I will try to be strong but it is getting harder by the day.. too many BLT's!!!

I think you just pee anything over 100%! Try Flax Seed and vitamin D. I haven't been sick since I started taking all my supplements regularly and everyone around me at work has had everything! My friend, who has been going to the Dr. for high choles. and heart issues, was told to also start taking Fish oil. . I just ordered some. figured it can't hurt. ..Honestly, I've never taken so many pills in my life but it does seem to be working. I still swear by my B12, which keeps me going. . . .

I think I do better when I have one veggie a day. . the Stillman's program I reviewed called for 3 cups of low carb veggies a day.. I am going back to that after the 1st. .kept me from craving other stuff, too. I think it may just be the texture. .

Also, I make the Terayaki chicken with about 1/2 packet of Sweet Low.. I don't like sweet stuff either. .

AL: The onion soup mix in ground beef is fab! I used to make my meatballs (very tiny ones) for my family by mixing 1/2 packet of onion soup mix with the ground beef and then I would make gravy with the remaining 1/2 and simmer. . of course I served over mashed potatoes and corn. . MMmmm. .I think we would be safe to make the meatballs minus the gravy, potatoes and corn! They really are good that way. . I might just make up a batch for the weekend. Thanks for the reminder!

O and I've been perfecting the BBQ Chicken recipe. .I've added a few more spices, reduced the low carb ketchup to 1/2 and used Diet Cherry Pepsi/Coke. . celery and green pepper, chives. . after simmering for 45 minutes.. I let the sauce thicken and then scrape most of it off and just eat the chicken. I am surprised at how tender it is after cooking that long. I really thought it would get dry but it is grrreeaattt! . . there is nothing worse than dry chicken! Errgggg. .

I tried one other thing last week. . What do you guys think of the spice sour soup you can order at the chinese rest? I asked someone who works there what they put in it and they claim it is mostly pepper and vinegar with a little tofu (which would be easy to take out) egg with some other spices.. A girl at work brought me some because she knew it used to be my favorite. . so, I didn't want to waste it - I took stew meat and threw it in the slow cooker with about 2 cups of that soup. .Wow! It was really awesome.. my husband loved it. I am going to investigate it a little more because if it is legal. . .it will be one of my new staples!!! Does anyone know how to make it? I am always looking for ways to jazz up my menu. . I think it keeps me on track a little longer. . .
