I'm sorry you are having such a time, Sheri! Just please don't let them bring you down and keep you from your goal. I know that's easy to say, but you need to take care of you and concentrate on what makes you happy. No one else is worth your health. Stay strong, girl. .you sound like you are so hang in there. . I hear Arizona is beautiful. .My very best friend went there on vacation 9 years ago and never came home (literally). . I still hate her!! She's never been happier. . Blahhh |

I just have to share: The BBQ Chicken Rocks!! OMG> .my new favorite: Here is the recipe. .I suggest all of you run out and buy chicken and make this!! SOooo good. .
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 cup catsup (I used the low carb/sugar kind) 12 oz diet cola (I used Diet Cherry Coke) Put chicken in nonstick skillet. I browned mine with season salt. Combine cola and catsup and pour over chcken. Bring to boil, cover and reduce heat. Cook for 45 mintues. Uncover, turn heat up and continue cooking until sauce thickens and adheres to chicken. OMG I soooo want to eat the whole pan. . but I won't. ![]() |

OHHHHH.. that sounds good!!! I am so making this over the weekend!
Thanks for the words IM... its very difficult to say the least. One day at a time eh! My guy has about 80 pds to lose. He is trying but argh.. he just doesnt get it sometimes. He said he ate really good today.. and then he followed it with he had a small burrito and a tamale... ARGH. I said thats total carb laden!! LOL But.. he can handle more carbs then me by nature so as long as he loses I wont nag him too much. My sister is there making all kinds of stuff for dinners so its hard for him. I said.. hmmm... when I get there this weekend.. things sure will be different! LOL

Oh my goodness! I go off of here for a few hours and we are on page 3!!!
I woke up this morning and weighed - 144.2 - since T-day that is almost four pounds! I am happy....but am celebrating with caution! EM - My hubby was spoiled like that as well. His mom always made an extra meal for him...cuz he was so picky. Thus, I have a picky spoiled eater who has passed that on to my children! But, I can't complain he is an amazing father and he cleans house majorly for me on his day off!! Al - Share as much as you can from the book IM - Wow that chicken sounds amazing!!! I need to try it VERY Soon! Dustin - I bet that chicken in the slow cooker was awesome - I love when it gets all tender and juicy - YUMMY!~ Michies - Welcome - I told you - we are a fun group - and I am sure you are gonna see a loss sooner rather than later!!! Dustin lost 20 lbs in what seemed like no time! And, look at Al's stats for the weeks she has been on Stillmans! GT - i think you must be famous - for someone to come looking for you ![]() Okay - I am ready to tackle another day! My hunger is really nil and if I didn't have this weird burning in my tummy I could go for a long time on these two eggs whites I just had! |

Good Morning everyone (it still is. . )
OK.. I'm done with the Stillman's QWL. . I need to move on to something different for awhile. . . ![]() HEHHE. .I got up early this morning (about 4:30) and decided to crack out the Still=man's book and decided that I will give the "14-day Shape-up Program" a try. Not much different really, except that it allows for some veggies, Cottage cheese (which I never ate doing QWL), Milk and plain yogurt (which I will skip), and exercise. He claims "overweight" people will lose between 20 - 25 and regular weight will lose between 10 -15. If I lose 5, I'll be happy! I was extremely excited because veggies sound sooooooo gooood right now! Basically, doing same . no fat allowed so I think it'll be OK. . did you guys know you can have Jello (SF?). . I missed that part. he suggests mixing it in the cottage cheese .. not quite sure if I'm ready for that or not. Dreaming about my BBQ chicken for lunch. . I can't wait. . Hope you are all having a grand day. .Day 1 of my 14 day marathon. .Wish me luck. .I am sick of the 150's, already!!! O yeah. O yeah.. . B - 2 poached eggs/steak L - BBQ chicken, Cottage cheese D - Soy Pork.. and Small Salad - No dressing (vinegar) :-) I'm so excited for dinner! Me and My Hello Kitty Lunchbox have to spend some quality time together. .toddles! Last edited by IM2fat; 12-02-2009 at 08:41 AM.. |

Okay guys, here is my stillman's menu for today. Please tell me what you think.
![]() Breakfast: 2 pieces of bacon & piece of string cheese Lunch: 1 cup of hamburger & sausage cooked like a chilli, but I used lots of meats & almost no veggies. The veggies I did use are mushrooms & diced chilli tomatoes & of course beef broth. Dinner: prob same as lunch since I have a crockpot full. I also walked 2 miles on treadmill on high incline at quick pace. I am journaling and I also am going to get a carb, fat, calorie count book so I can keep my calories under 1200 per day and my carbs at below 20.

I'm back for a moment. Miss me?
Em: I'm still scared of the mirror. .Ugg. . I'm telling ya. .4 kids later. I don't think I'll ever see the outline. too many dimples! I call them love bumps! I love to hate 'em GT: I forgot about the matching book bag.. works great for all my files back and forth to work. (I have my own business too so I do bookwork on my lunch-hour when I'm not posting on the Stillman board!). . my kids think I'm Crrazzzzy!! Just reminds me to have a little fun once in a while.. Miche; Great Job on the treadmill.. .Try registering at ******.com and you can track your goals, weight and everything you eat on a daily basis. it will also give you calorie count, etc. . A very handy tool . .I use it primarily for my weight but its great no matter which diet you are following! I am not sure which Stillman's diet you are following but I am not sure sausage and string cheese are on them. If they are. . I'm missing out on something. Does anyone know for sure? I don't have the QWL book here but the 14 day one says no bologna, salami, sausages or pressed lunch meats! Sorry. . also, my one question: What the heck is lean bacon? is there such a thing. Doc says you can have Lean Bacon.. Turkey maybe. .IDK |

Hi Michies! Cool your on! Don't worry I hadn't forgotten about you! Having my mayo and 4 morsels of turkey at the mo--yuuummy-not!
![]() Anyway if your still interested...the others will be bored.....I started last November with this but I haven't been doing the QWL all that time. I started with what I called low-fat Atkins.....protein and a very small amount of veggies. The daily diet was really-2 small eggs for breakie, small can of tuna at lunch and grilled chicken and some salad at dinner. I'm sorry I can't tell you how much I lost every week because I didn't weigh every week-didn't want to see it on the scale every week -- but I measured and I def lost inches. (I think in March I did the Fat Fast for a week-that wasn't really because I stalled but because I was going to an event and I wanted to loose a bit more!)I did this low-fat with veggies until May when I finally did stall. I was about 199 and I kept bouncing around that for a few weeks. So I decided to cut the veggies(there was nothing else to cut!)and do Stillmans. In about four weeks I went to 183. I did at this time really up the exercise tho to about 2.5 hours on the bike and an hour of Pilates. I continued to do this until July when I then was at home for a month and so did far less exercise and ate salad-and the weirdest thing was I lost a stone to be about then 168. Then in September I went back to Stillmans pure... no carbs, no fat,---breakfast was always2 small eggs, lunch was a can of tuna, "snack" was a grilled chicken breast and dinner was the same. I never drank fizzy drinks-I don't particularly like them anyway but I do think they stall. I really have done that up until a week or two ago when I stalled so now I'm doing the Fat Fast but I inted to go back to Stillmans and then after that add in some veggies. I have had a few cheats along the way but actually really only since around August or so bacause by that stage I was getting bored! I prob think that is the most important thing---you have to be ready to do it for yourself, know it will take a while and maybe won't be as quick as you woulkd like(I'm really impatient now!) and be committed. You sound like you are so you will def. be successfull! And you have the secret ingredient--us ![]() I hope that has been of some help to you! But stick with this bunch-they really are a fountain of knowledge |

Im - SF jello is allowed? That sounds good mixed w/cottage cheese. I thought we couldn't have it - I haven't seen it on any of the lists. I am wishing you luck on your new plan make sure you keep up with us
![]() Michies - I don't want to seem like a downer but you may want to carefully read the allowable foods list on the Stillmans sticky. I am pretty sure we are supposed to eat lean meats only - and there is no cheese allowed accept lf or nf cottage cheese. But, it looks as though you are started in the rt. direction. EM - I have started noticing a change in shape as well. There are certain areas that are looking smaller and....... my hubby is really noticing - he said, "Hey it looks like your diet thingy is working - cuz you look really skinny!" WOOHOO!!! LVGAL - I hope your blood work and tests come out okay ![]() |

Em-I think you're great doing this so soon after having the baby. Don't worry you will def get your pre-baby bod back. And from your pick you look as tho you have a figure most of us would kill for.![]() I hate mirrors---although I do like the ones in H+M-- I def think they have done something to them to make you lokk thinner!!!! Sometimes I do look in the mirror and think I actually look narrow or I pick up something that looks so small but then it fits or it's too big---but mostly I look and think yuk!!! |

MS: SF jello is definately listed in the 14 day shape up (which is technically the same as QWL with added Veggies). . it states: No sugar gelatin as much as 3 servings daily (4 oz) for meals and snacks but only 1 portion per meal. The book I have was written well after the QWL and the Doc admits that he learned a lot along the way. I don't think SF Jello will be an issue on either. . Cottage cheese on the 14 day is limited to 1/2 cup per day.. as well as yogurt. which may be good with the SF jello for flavoring as you can only have plain. . he also mentions putting SF Jelly into it.. .which I will also skip. . might trigger a sweet tooth for me. . Al: will you check your book to see if SF jello is listed onthe QWL.. I only have the cookbook and there are a lot of mix/match recipes that have Jello, too. .
My big question for everyone: What the heck is Farmers Cheese and is it good? Where do you find it. . is it called something else. How about Pot Style Cottage Cheese? anyone get it from anywhere generic like Kroger, Walmart? I googled the pot style and that sounds more my speed..I'm not huge fan of cottage cheese.. the Farmer's cheese sounds scary, too.. Last edited by IM2fat; 12-02-2009 at 09:47 AM.. |

Yeah sorry Michies---I'm with Im2 and MS--only lean meats--I think his thinking really was cut out everything except protein so your body has nothing to burn but its own stores. And then drink lots of water to wash out the ash left over from your fat-burning furnice!

Yeah I wondered what was Farmers Cheese was too-someone wrote about it in a thread. I didn't know whether it was a make or a type of cheese. I think Pot style cottage cheese is the type we have and it ain't good!

Hi Everyone!!
Sheri - Im so sorry. You and your Dad are definitely in my prayers. Please let us know how you do at the doctors. 190! Thats fantastic! ![]() msgirl - 4 pounds!! woohoo! KUTGW! Ive got the brisket in the oven! It'll be ready at 3 - I cant wait! (Note to everyone: I didnt realize how fatty this cut is. Im sure its gonna be delish, but we should probably stay away form it. ) IM2 - Ive also got an onion soup mix pot raost in the slow cooker. (potatoes and carrots for the rest of the family - will the potato carbs seep in? This is the first time Ive included them during the cooking process) So, we are cookin up a storm. Preparation is the best attack on these pounds. I really want to try the BBQ chicken but Im afraid of ketchup. Haven't had it in 4 1/2 months!! Please keep us posted bite by bite the next 14 days! It might even be good for me to try the new pplan out since things are much slower for me now. em - so glad those curves are comin!! I wnet straight from a ball to a stick. I must have blinked during the few days the curves were there.. gettingthere: you will never bore us with your story of success. What an accomplishment!! Hi Michie5! Im in agreement with the others. Which plan did you decide on so we can make better suggestions. (I do think you'll still lose on that menu though, sounds like atkins) I'll check the books on jello for QWL and report back! (My guess is no, but I would include it. Its seems to me to be more legal than ketchup and cocktail suace) I got through 4 pages last night and fell asleep! The biggest thing that stuck was how much weight hes saying we can lose so quickly. I admit, its fast but darn it, one lady lost 67 pounds in 4 months! |
