Thanks for the O.S.M. rundown IM2!
MsG - I should have consulted here before I drank the wine. You would of never let me do it! I'll probably have more by weeks end. Parties. Parties. Parties. Wine, my true weakness. Dustin you are doing so well. You will reach your goal in no time. Like 12-14 weeks, if you keep it up! It may seem a long time away, but its not!!! Theres a guy in the main lobby that just lost a bunch of weight in 7 months. His results were superb, but youve got the Stillmans advantage! Im calling it. 12 weeks. Im feeling really tired today.... and I can only blame myself. Wine and Stillmans does not mix... |

Hi Everyone!
Boy, I am noticing a pretty good difference in my energy levels and mood. I have noticed that I am smiling a bit more and laughing. I find myself smiling for no reason. I think that is great since I hardly smile to myself. At work, I was walking around the plant and I don't feel like it's a chore anymore. In fact, I just walked to third building for no reason except just to get away from my desk for a few minutes. I have been eating nothing but chicken prepared with Tony's spices in crockpot. If I eat a piece very slowly, I feel satisfied. I had a piece for breakfast and a piece for lunch. I just got home and I'm planning to run another piece through my small grill. I hope my vitamins will arrive tomorrow. I read that their plant and warehouse is located in New Jersey. Wishing everyone a pleasant evening! Dustin |

Hey there Al,
I don't hear an echo in here... do you? I found Tony's seasoning at my local Wal-Mart. It is in a green can with red top. At my Wal-Mart, I went to the spices section and it is on the bottom shelf. Now, I can really enjoy my chicken and it helped me to tolerate it more. I also discovered that a small drop or two of Tabasco sauce is great to add a slight flavor to my eggs. When I poach my eggs, I just put a little bit and then put the poacher thingy on top of my boiling water. Eggs comes out great and have a slight tangy flavor... just a couple of drops or the eggs becomes too hot and tastes more like a tabasco sauce. So far, I have been pleased with eating eggs and chicken. A half of a cup of cottage cheese is almost like dessert to me. I'm still trying to find something to flavor tuna because I cannot stand tuna that much anymore so I choke it down. -Dustin |

Thanks for the info D! I'll be on the lookout for Tonys. I love hot sauce and eggs. yum. I havent had an egg since I started. For no other reason than I would eat too many. Good ideas! Keep em coming.
Tuna variations: (I dont use lemon/lime juice but it cant be that bad) tuna, celery seed, onion powder, s&p tuna, onion powder, old bay seasoning tuna, lime juice, cilantro, s&p tuna, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper tuna, lemon juice, s&p tuna, splash of soy sauce, powdered ginger I can actually eat it plain right out of the pouch/can. Always used to use mustard in the beginning. Last edited by aleriaaa; 12-17-2009 at 05:53 PM.. |

I agree with you about cutting completely off alcohol. I remember reading in Atkins book that alcohol turns off your body's furnace to burn off the fat. Let me get out my book and see what it says before you take my word as gospel.

Hey, here you go! On page 181 in my copy of DANDR.... it states:
"The body burns alcohol for fuel when alcohol is available. So when it is burning alcohol, your body will not burn fat. This does not stop weight loss; it simply postpones it." The book goes on and explains that when the alcohol is burn up, your body will go back to lipolysus to burn off fat. Dustin |

Gotta lock my door tonight so I dont sleepwalk to those cookies. Did I ever tell you guys I used to wake up and have midnight snacks but there were times that I really had no clue if it was just a dream?? I would have to check the fridge and cabinets to see what was missing the next day. The worst experiences were waking up with burps and having no recollection of eating anything. Thats the worst - to not even be able to enjoy it. Issues here... But they appear to all be cleared now!!!

Hey AL and Dustin!!! I am still here...just haven't had the chance to post much!
I have had cottage cheese and lean ground beef today. I did have a couple pieces of bacon - I know a NO, NO but my tummy was growling loudly! I have made it through several parties now and still holding strong! Dustin - Congrats on the energy and mood levels!!! Weight loss actually does that for me!!! Okay - I seriously almost lost my clothes today!! I can so tell in my clothes how much I have lost! I am just nervous about Saturday's weigh in - what if my bacon makes me retain water???? Al - you always make food sound so good!!! Even without the fat ![]() |

Mornin!!! Today is going to be a great day! Im having a tuna and chicken day. The plan is tuna for lunch and chicken for dinner. Hubby promised to have it ready for me. (crossing my fingers) My new plan is to cook the boneless breast and the thighs. That way I can eat more of the lean stuff with a side of fat. Instead of 6 chicken legs!
I dont really want to weigh Saturday either. I will but I dont feel any positive changes this week. BBL |

(peeping in).....
Hi all! Long time no see. How are you?????? Any big news? Or lots of small news that adds up? Well..Im settled into Phoenix trying to get into things here. 5 days after my arrival my sister and I had to drive up to Vegas to try and find my father a home. Talk about stressful and making very bad choices... burgers and fries to name 1. Came home on Saturday... Sunday ate out again, then to the store to make pecan cookies. Ive eaten at least 30 of them over the week. They are pretty much gone and I will not be making any more. Got back on track yesterday... up 5 pds. I expected it. Going back to working out too. Did 45 min run on the treadmill last night. Will do it again today. I did go do some shopping yesterday. I hate shopping for clothes. I needed a dress for my BF"s 50'th b'day next week in Vegas. I got an pretty, black dress in an X-large. My sister said it looked too big... so I got a large and it fits. Woohoo! wow. I also got 2 sweaters in size large... so this is all motivating me very much! Once I lose some weight... I will LOVE shopping I bet. LOL

Good evening!
Glad to be home. I had 3 pieces of eggs. I weighed myself when I got home.... 244. Let's see what my actual weight will be tomorrow morning! I am planning to ride 2 miles on my exercise bike. Then I will take it easy. My package with the vitamins arrived. I spent a few minutes unpacking and then putting them away on the shelf. I need to get one of those vitamin organizer so I can start planning my vitamin schedule. I will get started tomorrow morning. I'm still sick of tuna.... I have 3 cans left at home and 4 cans at work. I will try the flavors that Al recommended. If I can just eat tuna with feeling the urge to gag, that will be great. My mood is not that upbeat like it was compared to yesterday. I wish all of you a pleasant weekend. I will be going to 2 family parties so it's chicken time for me!! I am hoping that I will report in either on Sunday or Monday that I made it through without a bite of those bad, terrible and nasty foods! Dustin |

Hello again,
Maybe I'm being a little tad chattier than I usually am. I have been doing a lot of thinking. I finally decided to see if I can try on size 42 pants. I have about one inch before I can zip them up. So that is a little encouraging! I have another 42 pants, but they expand about 2 inches. I tried that one on and it fits me like my 44 pants does so that tells me that 44 pants is my ideal size for now. Okay ladies, I am gonna confess a little bit about myself... okay. Perhaps all of you ladies can chime in and give me your side. I have a blind date next month. That is my main reason why I wanted to drop some weight and the important thing is to gain some self confidence. I have noticed that I have been smiling at people more frequently when I go to my local Wal-Mart. I have been writing to this lady on personals website. We have been striking it well and I have told her that I am working on my weight and controlling my food. She is happy and encouraging me. I sent her my older photos when I was size 42. I wanted to be back to size 42 or 40 before I send her my newer photos before we meet for the first time. This is my holy grail! Now, I want to start with something simple to help me feel better. I do want to update my wardrobe and show some fashion style. I finally cut my hair close and I have not done that in a long time and I like my hair cut short and it feels good. I bought my own clippers so I can do this myself and I finally tried it myself last night. At least I got over my uncertainly that I will make a mistake. Since I feel that most ladies have a better sense of fashion and they know what they like what a man wears. I always wanted a stylish pair of boots. So please chime in. What is your favorite type of boots that you would like to see a man wear? I would like a boot that is stylish but it does its job in helping to keep my feet dry. Thank you for reading my rambling for today! Dustin |

Hi Dustin!!!
Sorry I didnt get to you sooner. I was at a pajama and hot cocoa party last night. It was so adorable to see all the little kiddies.. No cocoa for me. (MsG's mouth is watering, heehee) I think youre doing an amazing job and I cant wait for your date. We are gonna work you silly so you get to those 40's. You ready? Lets go!! I don't know what the fashion sense in Ohio is, if your looking for more biker boot/cowboy boot, or something more flashy LA.... maybe stick with something in the middle like Timberland. Not the rugged work boot that everyone knows, search for chukka and see if you like it. They are more business casual but fit the needs of the feet! Although, I am not a fan of the cowboy style, or the dressy boot pointy-toe on a man, lots of women are, so hopefully some of them chime in. I found some really nice leater boots on DSW, but they were 259 bucks! No shoe is worth that much. Crazy. |

D, I hope you dont mind if I open the floor to discuss you....
Should Dustin be eating more? Do you think he would have better results? I think I may be eating more than him. Also D, next time your shopping, pick up some pork chops for your slow cooker. Dont force the tuna if you dont like it, you may get really fed up with it one day and eat something you shouldnt. Please stop me if Im too nosey or annoying. |
