Ok. .I'm going to add that movie now!! Thanks for the tip, Al!!!

Hey. .GT. .You still Iron? I gave that up years ago. .Why Iron when you can run it through the dryer with a damp towel for 5 minutes? I don't dry clean any longer, either. . Probably the reason I have so many clothes!! hehehe. . I wash em. .if I ruin em. .I toss em. . I do have a few nice suits and dresses that I do the fake dry cleaning in the dryer thing. .but I don't pay $$ any longer. Might have something to do with the fact that I no longer have my job of 18 years and had to start all over with 1/4 of our income. . . .(hubby and I both worked for the same company forever and then they decided to do stupid stuff. .which is why I work somewhere else and he started our own business. . Ugg. .not fun at 40 years old. .but necessary!!) Sorry. .I'm still bitter about it. . It was supposed to be our "career" of choice and we both had to start over. .which, surpisingly is when my weight gain really kicked into high gear. . But. .I can't blame my circumstances forever..

Speaking of: I have almost everything washed and can't wait to start the week with my new wardrobe! I bought mostly suits, skirts and work clothes but that's OK. Did you guys ever think about how much time we spend at work ?.almost more than we spend at home awake. .That's sad!!! Perhaps that is the reason I stay up so late at night.. I'm always trying to cram something in. It is 11:58 and I am doing dishes, laundry, ordering office supplies and checking out LCF! Wowsers. I need a life!!!

OK.. should get to bed so I can watch "snapped" tomorrow. .yes. .I also love true crime stuff. .mostly what I read. .

Don't blame you Im2--it's awful to loose your job, and doubly when you both worked at the same company... Unfortunately that's happening more and more in Ireland now too--things closing because of recession and others relocating to China because it's cheaper......and it's amazing how many people work in the sme company......as you said it's where we spend most of our time....so the perfect place to meet your partner!!

I think you're amazing to have started up ypur own company tho.....and it sounds so interesting ...and an unusual thing to start up... with us monitoring companies are state run......apart from an alarm one for house burgluries!

I do iron-----but barely!! only things that really need it!! Never really use the dryer for clothes---afraid of shrinkage-----and every inch helps!!!!!!!!!

I dont know how to iron.... I pull em right out the dryer and hang em up. hubbys collars are always flipping up and I send him to work like that anyway. poor guy. my excuse is..I dont have and ironing board. I guess I can be a not so great wife sometimes... plus, if hes a little dissshuffled hopefully the pretty ladies will stay away from him. heeheehee . Ive been known to run the dryer through another 40 minutes if I dont catch them in time. oops another bad no-no.

Thats horrible you lost your jobs after so many years IM2, but you've made the best of it and started your own business. that is so great. There arent too many strong enough or smart enough to handle that. Good for you. The business sounds so interesting, Im wondering, can you do that right from yur home or do you need office space? Is the monitoring service just for you area or could it be expanded further. Its really a great idea.

I work at a hospital and squeeze my 40 hours into 3 days. 3 very long days but worth having 4 days off. Once the kids are both in school full time, I'll probably go back to school or get nother part time job.

yesterdays menu:
lunch - 8 oz tuna
dinner - 3 cups onion soup mix chicken
snack - 3x4 chunk of sugar free ham (that Krakus brand I was talking about)
diet pepsi (bottles gone now. no more for a while)

I chopped the ham into little cubes and ate it cold with my fingers. The saltiness of it faked me out like I was having a cool new snack. Im gonna do it again, but next time I'll broil the cubes so they get crispy on the edges. Its funny that we can still come up with something new after doing this for sooo long. wonder what spices might be good to add to it.....

one more thing.... this diet has been so amazing for me in the sense that I dont think about eating or eat for 24 hours a day. (yeah, I may come on here and talk about it 24 hrs a day, but thats besides the point.) Anyway, I hate thinking about water all day and forcing myself to drink it. I was good for a few days there and then I stopped. I dont know how to kick myself into gear and drink the the water habitually. I think I had 3 bottles yesterday adn they were definitely forced. ugh. Im having such a hard time with it. now Im whining...

Believe it or not. .we did start it out of our house but soon discovered that it was better to move it to an office building. We have 10 employees right now.. Hubby does most of the design work (fire systems, cameras, etc. ) and I do all the book work (in my spare time after housework, my job and taking care of the kids. . ) so I'm pretty much glued to the computer so when I complain I don't have time to work out. . MMmm. .that might have something to do with it. I've been trying to make more family time, too. The only bad thing about Stillman's is that I find we don't eat supper as a family very often any more. That is my New Year's resolution this year. .told hubby. .we have to start sitting down as a family and I have to start cooking meals again. Uggg. .

Anyway, I enjoy it most days but there are days when I'm ready to just give up. We are keeping our fingers crossed that 2010 will be the year we actually start moving in a positive direction (and start getting paid!!!). We've struggled and the economy isn't really helping much right now. I'm thankful we've come this far.. .

See. . LCF is a great break from all my book work. I can always count on some humor, a smile and some great motivation. . .Hope you guys have a great day! My kids are bouncing off the walls so I think we'll have to put up the tree after church this morning. .

Good afternoon!

I'm still feeling crabby today. Still going through the cravings. I weighed myself this morning when I woke up. 252. So I'll have to lose 3 pounds to go back to the weight I was when I weighed myself on the 1st of this month.

I tried my George Foreman grill. I used some of Tony's spices and I was able to eat half of chicken breast. I plan to eat the other half later today. It seems to me that the spices are more tangy when grilled compared to the crockpot. I'll use less when I make another piece tomorrow morning for my lunch.

I rode my exercise bike for 2 miles twice. I am hoping to work myself up to 4 miles in couple of days. I did not ride very fast.... just steady and moderate pace.

Wishing everyone a good day!
-Dustin

Hey everyone!!

Yesterday was a crazy day...shopping all day for Christmas and out with friends so I wasn't able to check in. I weighed in .2 above Fridays weight and today I am .6 up from Friday. So that makes me at 141.4. I am not changing my siggy cuz I feel like its just water. When we were out yesterday all I had all day was two chicken breasts with mustard and a couple of coffees. So, I know my calories weren't over. I am gonna try to flush it with water today and see what happens for tomorrow.

GT - I still iron A LOT. I am not organized enough to do it all in one night so I iron all of our clothes for the next day on the night before. I know its crazy but....so am I

AL - Smart move to keep the ladies away!!! My dh iron's his own stuff he is such a perfectionist! Fine with me - one less thing I have to do!!!

IM2 - I have got to say I am impressed that you run your own business and it has proven to be successful!!! That is just awesome!!

Dustin - Let's keep up the water routine - it really helps for sure! Also, yes Tony's is a little spicier when you grill it than when you use it in the crockpot. I need to dig my Georgie out and grill up some meat.

For the rest of this week we have an event every night!!!! But, I am gonna fry up some lean ground meat every chance I get and eat on it!!! I am so wanting to be 138 at least by next Sunday. Should I lock my scale up? or, should I just keep it out and keep progress going? Decisions, decisions.

One good thing......I wore a suit today that I haven't worn in over 2 years!!! AWESOME!!! My hubby said it looked like it was hanging on me

Hi ms,

I've been peeing all the time.... driving me nuts! I really dislike getting up 4 times in the middle of the night!! I already drank 64 oz of water so far!! Uggghhh! I filled up my new water bottle halfway and I'm dreading drinking more. I am trying to drink at least 80-90 ounces of water a day.

That's great about your suit! Maybe I will try on my suit in 2 weeks I still have the suit I got married in and the pants is size 44

I cannot even imagine drinking 152 ounces of water! How does it take before your body adapt to all of the increased water intake and I'm not running to the bathroom a lot? I think it took over a week for me, but I don't really remember. All I want is to get through tomorrow at work and have my body go back into ketosis mode so it can start burning off all of that fat!!

Just put on fake tan-waiting for it to dry before bed-need to hide the white Irish skin! Anyway I noticed real definition in my arms--all those Mari Winsor dvds must be paying off-not sure if I want biceps tho--if I'm honest skinny would be better!! Hee!

Good evening! Just a quick note... perhaps drinking all of that water may help to reduce weight. I just guzzled down some water and had a cup of low fat cottage cheese... didn't feel like eating chicken, egg or tuna. I took off my clothes and jumped on the scale.... I went down 2 pounds from 252 to 250!

To be honest, I was not expecting that since I was feeling full from the cottage cheese and water!
