Hi Everyone! Sorry I skipped town....went to NYC for the sights and sounds of Christmas! (or should I say the hustle and bustle) Hung out at Rockefellar Center, saw the tree, the ice skaters and the Rockettes at Radio City! Times Square was mobbed! Actually the entire city was mobbed...but it was so much fun!

Stayed on plan minus the wine.... i ate at some fancy smancy restaurant and had the best meal of my life! I ordered the filet mignon and I have never tasted anything so grand. It was literally 5" x 3", and I ate every last bite.

Im so sorry some of you are having a tough time. This bland, fat-free, diet really stinks and Im not even following it exactly. Maybe some could try a 3-5 day meat challenge. Forget the eggs and cheese for 3 days and pick some of your favorite meats (even if they are a little fatty) Im talking chicken thighs w/ salt and pepper baked at 375 for 2 hrs... Im talking grilled ribeyes, and some good old fashioned hamburgers. Not for every meal, but throw something new in there and make sure its meat.Eat the little bit of crispy fat thats on that awesome pork chop you just cooked.

I really think you'll see some results and not go crazy in the meantime.....My losses are slow but sure. I dont know if it'll work for you guys but Im really hoping it will. Try to cheat on fatty meats, they are reallly satisfying. If I get to eat something yummy today, Im usually satisfied with my bland tuna tomorrow. Just my two cents. I want everyone to have good results.

Lets all recap our favorite ways to eat meat. We want Kiki to stick around and not get bored. She's just starting and its fun and exciting and we want her to be the one that gets the dramatic results the good ole doctor promises in his book! Ready, set, go Kiki!!!

whole turkey/chicken roasted, sprayed lighlty with pam so s&p and herbs stick!
turkey soup made from bones of roasted turkey/chicken
grilled chicken dipped in soy sauce
hamburger with a side of mustard
roasted pork loin, sprayed lighly with pam, and seasoned with s&p, garlic and onion powder, herbs
ground turkey fried up in its own fat. eat right out of the bowl. with hotsauce or mustard
baked chicken legs when we cant stand plain chicken breast anymore!!!
tuna fish with chili pwder and cumin, nuked for 7 seconds..

anyone else? Ive got Im2s crock pot chicken cookin right now. (onion soup mix one)

Sorry if I was ranting....looking at the positive is def worth it!!

Stillman's has been the key to my weight loss! I love it because I can see results super fast and I am impatient so the results keep me motivated!!!

Don't forget to add lean ground beef browned w/ tony's and lc ketchup! That has been one of my favorites so far!

I just put several chicken breasts in the crockpot and sprinkled w/ garlic powder, onion powder and pepper! They are gonna be yummy!

I am hoping for at least 140 by Sunday!!!!!! That means I only nead to lose 3.2 lbs!

Hi Everyone!
Al, I'm so jealous--NYC-so wanna go--sounds like you had a brill time--you must be feeling all Christmasssy now!

MS-I have eaten plain natural yoghurt a few times for breakfast, when I just can't look at eggs anymore-I know it's not on Stillman's pure but...! The one I get has 4.9grms carbs in the pot and no fat. It's not a special low-carb one or anything!

I'm back on the F.F. I'm going to do it for a week (if I can stick it out for that long!)and see what happens!

Well. the program I was following does allow Plain yogurt (you can add SF Jello to it). same with your cottage cheese. . .cinnamon. .

Breakfast for me is usually anything I had for dinner the night before.. I always make extra. .As you guys know, I'm attached to my grill so it is usually a grilled burger, pork or marinated chicken. Yes, . I'm terribly guilty in that I have to have some flavor to my chicken. I've done shake and bake in the oven for the kids and peeled the skin off and had it. I don't know why, but the chicken in very moist when you do it that way? I've used Lawreys season salt . Lean Ground beef with low carb ketchup and mustard mixed in makes a wonderful sloppy-joe type meat. .You can always dip your other meat in it. .

Here's one I intend to try soon: Might be just as good as the BBQ chix. .I'm telling you. . that stuff is great..

Herb Chicken Bake

4 Chicken breasts or other chicken parts?
1 Lemon cut in halves (you can also use Lemon juice diluted with water)
1/8 teaspoon crushed basil
1/8 teaspoon crushed thyme
Salt and Pepper or use an all purpose seasoing salt. .

Spread chicken evenly in shallow baking dish. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon over top and sprinkle with seasoning. Bake at 400 for 40 minutes basting occasionally. Turn chicken and squeeze the rest of the lemon on chicken and season..Bake about 30 minutes longer and enjoy!!! :

I will also use a very lean beef hotdog and cook it over an open flame.. MMmmm. very good with mustard, too.. (we are allowed all beef hotdogs on 14 day)..

I've done my scrambled eggs with the lean bacon (Check carb count on package. .they do make some lean ones.. Turkey bacon is really good~!). . There are some other meats out there that aren't bad..

AL.. What a wonderful outing you had. We just got our first big snow. .all the schools were called off and everyone else had to go to work.. The trees on my driveway were all bent over due to the heavy snow. It was so pretty .. a shame to drive on it. .

Hi Im2!
Well the last FF did push me over the edge-right into the arms of a chocolate bar!!! Not gonna happen this time!
The FF is the Atkins fat fast. It is in the Atkins book but I don't have it. I just googled it and found it...but both Beth and MSgirl posted it on this thread. I'll find it for you so you can take a look!

Here's the plan:

2 oz. of brie or full fat cr. cheese

1 oz. Mac nuts

1 oz. of ckn or turkey with 2 tsp. mayo

2 T sugar free peanut butter

2 deviled eggs with 2 tsp. mayo

or 2 egg yokes, with 1 Tbsp mayo

I'm going to interchange all of these. Mostly the cheese and nuts I think as I haven't had these for like ever!
:
Here's what Beth wrote!!!! You eat one of these things 5 times a day-200cals each---but basically it's just mayo!!!!!!!!!

Where in the world is everyone??? Our chatting has slooooooowed way down

I miss you girls and guy (Dustin)!!!

I made some of that "oatmeal" from the Stillman recipe link. It is pretty plain with 1/3 cup lf cc. and 1 egg. I doubled up and added some sf davincis and it tastes pretty good. It may be a new legal staple for me - especially for breakfast!

Come back friends!!!!

GT - Yes, the "oatmeal" is 1/3 cup cottage cheese, 1 egg, 1/4 cup water, splenda or stevia to taste. sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, Blend in blender, bake on 350 for 35 min.

I doubled the recipe and probably should of baked longer but will eat it anyway. It has a good taste!

The new recipes sound really yummy girls!

I didnt like my crock pot chicken last night... I made the mistake of slicing the breasts into chunks and they all fell apart. I couldnt eat the bits beacuse they were all mixed up with those rehydrated onions from the soup mix (I overdid it with 3 packets). What a waste. Note to self: do not cut up the chicken...ever.

Woohooo!!! down another .8 lbs can - 142.4 this morning!!!

AL - my chicken in the crockpot shreds into little pieces sometimes as well. But, I haven't used the onion soup mix recipe so I have been able to eat it.

Yesterday I was so hungry but filled up on a lot water, chicken and lean gbeef!

I am sure my loss would have been even greater if I hadn't had the largest coffee they make at Sbucks!! I probably added too much half and half but needed the energy. I know my losses would probably be faster if I didn't haver my 1/2 and 1/2 but...I just couldn't cut it out Oh well, I am completely satisfied with how things are going!!!

BTW - AL - I meant to say earlier.....WOW - NEW YORK!!! I bet it is absolutely beautiful at Christmas time!

Filet Mignon - YUMMY!!!! You are right....it's not one of those miracle foods we can eat every day! Maybe lean ground beef will work though it's not quite the caliber of filet mignon!!

O Al: Sorry about the chicken. .I never, ever cut mine up.. I usually cook it frozen and I only use about 1/2 packet of the onion soup mix.. 3 Wowsers! I bet it was salty, too. . I've never had a problem with it falling apart but have had it overcook on occasion due to having to work late, etc. I also don't add a ton of water. .the slow cooker makes its own. . Before low carb.. I used to cook it this way.. come home and "shred" it, add some cream of soup and sour cream and make a mean chicken stroganoff. . ((((sigh)))) the good ole days!

It really is good and worth doing again. .

I have to look back through all our old threads and find out what my Christmas goal was. That'll take me a few hours.....

In the meantime, lets shout out our helpful tips to survive the upcoming work parties, get togethers and house visits for Christmas and still lose weight through the New Year. How can we pass on the holiday cookies that coworkers are bringing in on a daily basis? How do we just say no? Any ideas people??

I totally messed that one up. I added water and everything... and it was like 10 chicken breasts. I was able to salvage some but I have to sit htere and "flick" the onions off. A couple hit the kids and hubby last night...

Will definitely try again, the right way, sometime! THX!
