Good morning everyone!

Yesterday was a total bust for me! I have some kind of stomach virus thingy going on and I started my monthly (Sorry Dustin:blush I felt awful and today I am just barely moving my fingers But, I am gonna get on the ball and drink some water to flush out all the junk! I weighed this morning and I am up to 147 - I know its only 4 lbs and I am sure it is mainly water and the bloating - I just hate it! Don't want to be a downer so I am through with my rant!

Em - You must be really sick - a stay in the hospital?? Did you get an IV? The fluid retention in the hospital is pretty high! Don't worry you will lose all that fluid and probably some extra to go with it!

AL - I used to take Biotin - i might need to start it again. My hair is getting thinner the older I get.

IM - i used to make that Italian chicken all the time. I think the carbs are minimal after you get the chicken out...I can't imagine it would hurt too much.

Dustin - potassium helped me when I had those leg cramps. They are especially bad at night for me!

Okay everyone I gotta get motivated and get moving! It's MONDAY

Ms: Sorry you had a bad day! The weight'll be gone in no time. I was UP 9 pounds yesterday! Today I'm down 4. Yes, I had an IV but I also ate a lot. The ground turkey actually tastes great this morning (yep, having some for breakfast ) after the no-no's i consumed. Feels good to be back on track!

Hey IM!

Also, don't eat that flippin KFC ckn! OMG, I did a Google on it and was SHOCKED to see that they put MSG and HFCS in it. In freakin ckn! Go figure.

Al, I take around 10 mg. a day. My hair was falling out big time and I upped all my vits. Now my hair doesn't fall out anymore!

EM! HOW are you up more from where you started. Please write down all you are eating and let us know. Something is really wrong with that. Could be your Thyroid. TRust me, I know all about the Thyroid.

Actually, I just checked the "book" and on the 14 day plan, the Doc allows for low calorie dressing so I guess i won't sweat the Zesty Italian marinade. .A girl's gotta have something. . If we keep it under 10 carbs a day. .we should be losing. . Atkins allows for 20. . and I know there are hidden carbs in everything we eat. . uggg. .Pesky, pesky stupid carbs. .

I stayed up too late working last night so I'm cranky. My eyes feel like sandpaper and the scale still hasn't moved. What the heck. .Wahhhh

Hey guys

Any of you experiencing any strong stomach cramping?? Its feels like a intense gas pain.... This is the first time ive had it in the last 3 weeks ive been on the diet. Im eating only eggs, chicken and occasionally chicken broth. (No cheese)
still drinking the coffee and CL + water (too addicted to quit the stuff at the moment)

im not really backed up or anything...
jw if anyone else had had this cause DAAAAAAAANNNNnnng freakin hurts

Hey everyone!!

What a week. I still dont have time to catch up so I apologize for that! I am in Phoenix now with my guy. Very very happy about that but miss the kids already. My son is gong to be joining me in just a few weeks so that is good. I had to have airplane food on Friday because... I didnt have ANY food for all day.. too much going on.. then, the plane was almost 3 hours delayed. ugh. So.. bad eating day.
I did leave home at 189.8 .. I was thrilled to see that "8".
Ate pretty well all weekend.. pretty much just low carb, for sure not stillmans.
Today.. .went to Ihop.. ordered chicken crepes with mushrooms and spinach as my meal. Well hell.. they were out of mushrooms...LOL. Ended up having eggs and sausage. Had pork and some salad for dinner.. and ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes!
I have NEVER gone that long. I stopped every 5 for a drink of water and a breather... probably about a 15 second break.. maybe 30. But ya.. that was great. Then I did the incline at an 8 going 3.5 for about 10 min. Went 3 miles , burned 600 calories. .. ish.. since those things are not exact.
Drama is far from over with my father but at least Im not in my ex's house anymore. Oh the stress!

Anyhow.. hang in there all. I miss chatting. Just again... so much going on. I will check in again soon!

Hi, could anyone help me?

Hi ladies, I have been following the forums for a while now. I have Dr. Stillman's lose inches diet book but NEVER realized it wasn't the QWL book. It has 1 chapter of QWL but I have basically been reading the wrong things. I just recently bought the QWL book on ebay, hopefully it comes in before this weekend.

I just have a quick question, how do you cook fish, turkey, and lean meat with out oil? I love to eat baked talapia but I find myself having to squirt olive oil on the pan before putting it in the oven. I have read the sucess stories in his book and want the same results, so I am determined to follow this plan with out cheating.

lalala: Are you eating or drinking anything with Sugar Alcohols? It is a killer on my stomach - bloating and all kinds of other problems..

Sheri: Keep it up, girl. Congrats on sticking to program under so much stress. .

Kiki: I grill most of my Stuff.. and i think for the most part. . many of us use Pam spray or the equiv. I think the Doc wanted everyone to stay away from frying in butter and deep frying, etc. There are a few things in his book that need tweaking due to new products and research. It is Old!!! congrats on finding the QWL book. I thought I purchased one, too and it turned out to be the cookbook. uggg

IM2Fat: How is the cookbook? Is it worth buying? I saw someone selling it online and considered buying that also. Thanks for the advice. I have an olive oil pressurized sprayer so it is similar to pam but you can refill it. I guess I will use that if needed. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Girls-and Dustin!! I'm back!!
I've just read all your posts in one big chunk--they are really funny!! I was actually chuckling to myself! Have been so off-plan this weekend--can't even list all the badness I ate--choc. covered banana(yum!), wine, nougat, and today to top it all off -the bread basket at lunch!! As of tomorrow I am back on that F.F. for a week. And I am def not weighing for ages-I don't want to see all that damage! Oh yeah and I had orange juice yesterday-think it must really be a year since I had some!

Al, you are doing so well-you are literally shrinking! You should write the new and improved version of Stillmans! And I love, love love the avator!!!

Em,I'm so sorry you were in hospital-you poor thing. I hope you're feeling a bit better. Don't worry about the scale-you naughty girl, you should have been in bed minding yourself-not up weighing!

Cupcake!!! We missed you. . My motivation is going out the window this week, too. .Must be the Holiday stress and the fact that my Darn Scale hasn't moved . .well. .OK. . the wrong way most often!!! Kiki: I would say the cookbook is not really worth much? You agree, fellow losers? I haven't found anything that resembles a good recipe in it. I found more on this message board.. Scroll back. .try the BBQ Chicken. it is fab!! Al makes some killer turkey Soup (check out November's board..) and there are a few other ideas listed. Many just eat everything plain. .seems to speed things along. Myself, . I need a little pizzaz once in a while to keep me from feeling deprived and sorry for myself. of course, I am the poster child for finding a loop-hole!!

I'm back......and feeling so much better!! Sunday and Monday were awful - I had the worst tummy problems!! But, I am better now and I am back down to where my weight was on Saturday so I am happy.

EM & IM - i hear you about the holidays. It is really hard - then I have to hear everyone's comments..."why aren't you eating, you can't even eat a piece of lettuce, why do you think you need to lose weight, you are crazy eating like that....blah, blah, blah!!!

GT - Welcome back!!! Are you back on the Fat Fast or Stillmans? I have had more success with Stillmans but boredom is starting to kick in!

AL - Thanks for wishing me well...it was an awful sickness

Okay - I need some breakfast ideas. I am so sick of boiled egg whites and I just threw two of mine away today cuz I just couldn't stomach another one. The cottage cheese I got from Meijer was yuck (curds too large) so I am forcing it down cause I really don't want to waste it! But, I am really stuck for breakfast!

What do you guys eat for breakfast? Wonder what would happen if I added lowfat sf yogurt? Anyone ever done that?
