Getting there - Have you ever tried Cleo's oopsie rolls. They would probably fit right in to your fat fast and you could have mayo sandwiches too.

and for any of you eating fat free cream cheese - the oopsie rolls might work. (I've always used the full fat CC in the past)

Yes...I am now a firm believer EVERYONE should set their alarms at weigh at 3
Aleria- As far as the ham, i'm the one making it and you put the glaze on yourself even though it's already sliced and cooked so I think i'll leave a section unglazed for me

I missed where mayo actually came in but it sounds really good! I could almost eat a spoonfull of it! What are oopsie rolls? Are we allowed to have any of that because this is all a big mouthwatering tease

Here's Cleos Recipe for the rolls. You can also search the sticky in the recipe help section for tweaks and lots of other uses. Millions of pages to go through..

Oopsie Rolls (Gluten-Free Buns)

3 large eggs
pinch of cream of tartar (1/8 tsp)
3 ounces cream cheese (Do not soften)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

Separate the eggs and add cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff (if you're using the same mixer, mix the whites first and then the yolk mixture). Using a spatula, gradually fold the egg yolk mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to break down the whites. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and spoon the mixture onto the sheet, making 6 mounds. Flatten each mound slightly.

Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly softer, not crumbly). Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then remove to a rack and allow them to cool. Store in a loosely open sack and allow to rest on the counter before use (otherwise they might be too moist). Can be frozen.

Notes: If you are making these to be savory (for burgers) you can add dry mustard and dill or other seasonings to the yolk mixture. If you want a more sweet roll, add a very small amount of stevia natural sweetener to the yolk mixture.

Makes 6@ about 85 calories a piece, >1 carb per

Thanks for the congrats everyone!

Just finished off a 1/2 cup of lf cottage cheese!

Getting there---- i did the fat fast a few years ago and it got the scale moving but talk about boring! Actually what I did was roll cream cheese (1 oz.) balls in sf jello. It was good and I would only eat 1000 calories a day with it. I remember little bowls with all my little balls of cream cheese in the fridge
Why not just try upping your calories with the lean meat, etc? Either way upping calories can bust a stall every once in a while. YMMV though!

Al - yes the lean ground beef has been helpful. But, it tastes weird to me - does it normally have a more "gamey" taste? I don't know if thats the word I am looking for but it was different for sure! Not sure about the lowering goal wt...just trying to decide. Maybe I will leave it then when I hit it celebrate...then lower

IM2fat - I love volunteers! We serve Thanksgiving to the community members who are in need and we have so many volunteers! It makes for an awesome day!!

IM2- Pat on the back for the volunteering! We serve Thanksgiving to a thing called "Church Without Walls" for the homeless. 500 families served last weekend! At Christmas we deliver Christmas dinner and presents to poverty level families in the community. It feels so good doesn't it?

Good morning!!! Wow.. I miss a day and missed 2 pages worth! LOL

Scale is finally budging downwards so I am happy to see that. Sometimes its so daunting that even tho its moving.. it has SOOOOO far to go still. Every ounce adds up tho .. Im about 3 pds away from being halfway to goal. One thing that is cool..
I was working out pretty well at the gym, doing some upper body weights and stuff.. but I never saw any change. Well now that some of the fat is leaving .. Im starting to see some of the muscle that I was working on and so are others! Thats cool!

I have to run to the store but will be back. Im letting my son stay home from school today. He has been fighting off a chest cold and they have a jog-a-thon today. I dont want him exerting himself so he's mine today .. LOL

i finally saw the scale drop 2lbs this mornin

i think a lot of it is bc im up munching pretty late (3am)+ me coffee binges... im in school still so i dont really have a normal life at the moment.... but last night i cut off everything but liquids by 9pm and saw the drop in the am.

omg i dont know how anyone does the fat fast! I couldnt get past day 2 when i did it back in the day! i felt so greasy from all the mayo.... i know its great for when youre stuck in a stall tho!

Hey Em--don't diss blondes!!
The fat fast is what Atkins reccommended for breaking a stall(his idea of a stall being something like 6weeks with no loss on the scale or inches) Anyway it's basically upping the fat content to 70-80% of the cals-hence the heavy reliance on mayo! He actually says it should only be used for people who are metabolically resistant and who can't lose weight any other way. And he says it is actually dangerous for peole who lose weight easily becaue you'll lose weight too fast!!!! (i wish!)

It's fairly awful tho-basically 1ounce of chick.,turkey. or tuna with 2tspoons mayo 5 times a day. (there's other food too-like cream cheese) He calls them feedings not meals!

Gonna stick with it till Sat. and see what happens!! Stupid scale better move!!

Hi Msgirl! Just wondered-how long did you do the fat fast, how much did you loose, and did you put it back on when you went back to Atkins/Stillmans?? Sorry for the questions!

They are really good if youve been missing somethng to hold your meat up, but to me, they are not easy to make. I was never a baker. Something about folding the yolks and whites...and I read somewhere to use an aluminum bowl for the whites. I always messed them up.

Good evening!

I was entertained by everyone's posts! Today is day #5 and today is much better day for me. No headaches, but I did feel slightly light headed a few times. I am loving that shrimp and LF cottage cheese!

My size 46 pants are feeling a little loser today. I can see slightly thinner face and my belly seems a little smaller. I will try on my older size 44 pants this weekend. Wish me luck! I think I am losing weight faster on Stillman's diet than Atkins. It took me about 3 weeks to start feeling better after I started Atkins.

I still have cravings.... pretty strong cravings for that Chinese buffet place.... I just drive past it and tell myself "NO!"

I am wishing everyone a Happy Turkey Day tomorrow! Please report back on how you did on that day!

Dustin

Getting There - I did it for three or four days. I think I lost like 3 or 4 lbs. If I had stayed faithful to eating healthy I am sure I would have kept it off (but from 2005-2008 - I crashed from emotional stuff). I did go back to Atkins at the time and kept most of it off. However, I also did yogurt fasts (they were big back then) and other things and I was TINY!! But, life happened

Now...though....I am back and gonna push myself to get back to where I was then!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Enjoy your day with family and friends!

HAPPY TDAY, LADIES! MAN, IT'S FINALLY HERE, BUT YET IT FLEW BY!

I'm actually rethinging the drinking thing. I'm such a scaricat. I haven't had anything to drink in like 4.5 months and I really don't even miss it! Going to stay strong with the food, though. Turkey, here I come! Skin and all

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Be strong and don't cave in too much if at all. It's just one stupid day. Lets enjoy our friends and family and not focus on the food! Man, I'm so scared to try my jeans on. I sure hope they fit as I am planning on wearing them and not the skirt. TOM is still here and I want to wear my mini when I'm not all bloati!

Luv, uz!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I am planning for a good day. I caved a bit last night (fruit. .go figure??). . so today will have to be error free! I can do this. . I can. I can. . there really isn't much else that I'm craving so I should be good.

Hope everyone else has a wonderful day. I decided I'm wearing jeans that are just a bit too tight for a gentle reminder. Besides. .I wouldn't dare undo them at my in-laws!!! Ahhh. .
