Yipppeeee. . Al. . I knew you'd come home sooner or later. . . See you need us every single day. . Quit getting sick, too! We hate that!

If I can bypass the spirits tomorrow night, I am sure I'll be down. I can feel it. . I can. I can. .My week was about as stressful as they come so I'm not promising. . But I am promising and hoping for a loss by Thanksgiving. . Isn't that a hoot? I used to gain the typical poundage from Thanksgiving to Christmas. . I plan to actually lose weight this year. . I feel sooooo pumped to prove that I can while everyone else in my office expands!!! Plus, we won't have to make up a stupid New Years resolution this year because we will all be smokin HOT!!! SSssssssssssssssss

OK. .Al. . have you read the books? I bought the first one months ago and its collecting dust under my bed . . should I crack it? I'm kinda stuck on self help books right now. .

Well... legally he's still not an ex. LOL. Oh how I wish. We met when I was 16 and married when I was 19. I left him actually 2 times before.. but what can I say..Im a sucker and I sooo did not want to be a statistic of divorce.
We have 3 children... 17, 14 and 8. He was probably the worst husband a girl could have. Alcoholic, drugs, abusive... the whole 9 yards. He's about the same as a father. We split up almost 4 years ago.
ANYHOW... we are living together as roommates because I dont have a job and he wont move out..LOL . He's covering the bills right now and Im being the maid/ mom/ cook. Im also still on his medical plan so that has helped me. We need to sell the house but with the economy.. its not happening. We thought we would sell the house and stuff before divorcing to make things easier.. but.. we shall see now. My goal is to move on at the end of the school year.. i want to move to the mainland... and the kids.. well, they are hestitant of course.
To answer your question... it is rough but I wasted far too many years unhappy and THAT is what I regret the most. All I know is I can say I tried.
tried.. and tried again. Not worth it anymore.
ps.. I do have a BF. And WOW... I did not know there were still men out there that treat women like queens. He would walk on crushed glass for me, go to walgreens at 2am if I needed... anything... he would do it.
My ex.. .ha. I never had his help with the babies or anything. Cooked dinner the same day came home from giving birth, while he played ball.

Wow.. there was a vent! ...LOL!!! Good luck to you. Its not easy, but if its something that needs to be done then I say, do not wait one more minute of your life. You deserve happiness... and it will happen if you let it!

I think the difference is with all the protein, it just makes it so you are not hungry. Most calorie restricted diets are having you eat things that just cannot fill you up!
I know I go days and think.. wow.. I dont know if I even ate 500 calories today! Yet I recall being on a 1200 calorie diet and STARVING all day long.
forget that! LOL

I dont know the answer about the metabolism but I wont lie, it does concern me in the long run. However.. mine is already screwed up and Im on meds so ... I guess i will cross that road when I come to it.

Sheri! Thanks so much for sharing. God, that would suck to have a hubby who doesn't help! I at least have a wonderful father. He's the best. He's also a great person. So loving and kind. It's a long story. Please pray for us!

Have a wonderful night all!

With that said, Aleriaaa logs off, in search of Stillmans books again....will it happen this time???

Just in case.... Have you tried the Crystal Light and Vodka Mixer? Vodka has 0 carbs. One should do the trick. Worries be gone!

I'm thinking rum has carbs, but I could be wrong.....

Cool, crisp pink lemonade....and vodka

Sweet Delicious Strawberry....and vodka

Tangy but Sweet Grapefruit.....and vodka

I havent met a Crystal Light I didnt like!

Aleria: I also ordered the QWL book a couple of days ago! I can't wait for it to get here! I saw on one of the other forums examples of the different diets you can do for a day and mix them up. One was chicken and a green salad twice a day. That sounds fabulous

So, if the stickys are correct, we should get to goal with QWL and then move to inches-off. This is the complete opposite of QWL - all veggies, no meat!

I am probably going to try it this way. By the time I get my books and read 'em, hopefully I'll be at or real close to goal. Im very curious to see how I will feel when I switch to all veggies. BUT - Im not changing anything until I read the books and get the real scoop.

Thanks so much! I was looking for the ones in the QWL book. It seems weird to switch to low protein and have all the veggies. I like the QWL diet better!

I promise to stop posting every 5 minutes...

Aleria- I'm pretty sure they are in the QWL one. I couldn't stand it and went ahead and ordered it as well. If anyone is looking for it I found a bunch of them on Amazon under 5.00. Shipping is only 3.99. Well worth it!

Repetition Diets, Originally posted by Hoops

A few people have asked, so I typed them out from Dr. Stillman's Book, The Doctor's Quick Inches-Off Diet, pages 134-141. Choose 1 each day.

Egg Diet~ 1 egg- 3 times a day

Skim-Milk Diet~ 1 glass of skim milk- 3 times a day

Buttermilk Diet~ 1 glass of buttermilk- 4 times a day

Cottage Cheese Diet~ 4 Tbsp cottage cheese- 3 times a day

Meat/Vegetable Diet~ 3 oz hamburger (lean, broiled) & 1/2 cup green vegetable salad- 2 times a day

Chicken/Vegetable Diet~ 1 chicken leg (w/o skin) & 1/2 cup green vegetable salad- 2 times a day

Steak/Vegetable Diet~ 3 oz steak (lean, broiled) & 1/2 cup green vegetable salad- 2 times a day

Fish/Tomato Diet~ 4 oz fish (baked or broiled) & 1 tomato- 2 times a day

Melon/Cottage Cheese Diet~ 1/2 melon & 2 Tbsp cottage cheese- 3 times a day

Banana Diet~ 1 banana- 3 times a day

Crabmeat/Lettuce Diet~ 1 moderate piece of crabmeat & 1/4 head of lettuce- 2 times a day

Shrimp/Lettuce Diet~ 12 medium sized shrimps & 1/4 head of lettuce- 2 times a day

Tuna/Lettuce Diet~ 4 oz white tuna (water-packed) & 1/4 head of lettuce- 2 times a day

Salmon/Lettuce Diet~ 4 oz salmon (water-packed) & 1/4 head of lettuce- 2 times a day

Additional Information
1. A minimum of 8-10 beverages should be consumed each day, which include water, diet soda, coffee, and tea.
2. In addition, you can have 2-3 generous servings of geletins and 2 servings of broths.
3. The doctor encourages plenty of brisk walking daily.
4. Just one week or less will take off about 10 pounds of overweight. The average is a 1-2 pound loss per day.
5. You don't have to follow the same repetition diet each day. For example, you can do the Banana Diet on Monday, Egg Diet on Tuesday, and Steak/Vegetable Diet on Wednesday...

More Repetition Diets, Originally posted by Doit

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >> >
MEAT ONLY DIET:

This diet is limited to a half a pound of any meat wanted, 3 times a day, along with plenty of water and othe non-caloric drinks. For lots of those who like meat very much, this has proved an effective quick reducing diet. On this diet eat only lean meats, only when hungry and only enough to take away the hunger. You'll lose great amounts of fat quickly, safely and surely. **This is a repetition diet-choose only one sort of meat to eat a day.

YOGURT ONLY DIET:

For this diet take 120 calories of yogurt (I would choose no fat-or- lowest in fat...seems to be lowest in carbs) 5 to 6 times a day (total of 600 to 720 calories). You may vary flavors as much as you please, keeping the total calories under 900 daily. If you become constitipated take milk of magnesia to help.

YEAH IM! Look at you girl! This happened to me too when I upped my cals a bit! My body doesn't like eating 600 cals. Gotta get in 900-1100! Way too hungry at 600!

Al, you crack me up! "STEP AWAY FROM THE CRYSTAL LIGHT!" LOL

I was wondering, do you think the natural sleeping aids would do the same thing as the Tpm? I took Melatonin last night but don't want to have the same thing happen! Argh. I just have trouble sleeping lately!

So, who's having wine on TG? Is is wine or Vodka? OR BOTH!

I don't know anything about melatonin, but would a glass of wine sipped very slowly, do the trick? Works for me.

Food and spirits are 2 of my favorite things also...lol! I haven't had a drink in almost a YEAR! Not because I didn't want to but because I was preggo and he's not sleeping through the night yet! However, this week he started sleeping 7 hours so I def. plan to have a vodka/crystal lite on turkey day!

Hmmmm. .If I switch from Rum to Vodka.. does that indicate I have a drinking problem? I think I read that somewhere. . . I am most definately celebrating my Thanksgiving. . I shall be lighter and cuter.. Plus I won't have the Bloat the rest of the family will have.. It'll be my little secret!!! Heheh. .I don't think anyone in my extended family has seen me since I started this crazy lifestyle, so I should get a real reaction from them. . I'll keep you posted!

So here's the thing... When I started on the 16th I was 139...this morning I was 134.5....now I'm 137. I know I'm obsessing about it but what's going on? Have I really lost anything?
