Hey everyone! Sorry for yet another question (I'll get the hang of this soon i promise!) Does Crystal Lite count as water? I know Stillman says water on top of the diet drinks and stuff but this wasn't invented then and doesn't have sugar, carbonation, or caffeine so i was just wondering

Emily .. yes, you can have pork as it is a lean meat. No worries there... hope you dont feel like you sabotaged your diet cuz it looks like you did great! Was the tuna packed in water?

So I was just browsing some older threads... and wonder where some of the folks are that were starting.. sounding all excited and all.. then I dont see they post again.. or their stats havent changed or what have you.. leading me to believe they didnt stick around.
I have been on this site so many times since 2001. All gung ho.. then next thing you know.. I slowly stop coming because I fall off the wagon and just give up. I just want to say..I really hope I stick it out this time. I dont want to keep going back and forth!!! I was here last in April I think.. saying I was going to try Atkins again..etc. Then moved and did all kinds of life stuff and put it off.. again! Well..Im here still.. and again.. I hope for once I can stick it out and get the job done! just thought I would ramble a bit..LOL

We don't have it so I've never tasted it. I had to ask what it was! You're right Still. wrote that ages ago before all was known about sweeteners so dunno what he would say now! I know diet coke makes me stall-and gives me fierce cravings so I stay away! I don't mind plain water anyway. But everyone here keeps saying they should stop the crystal light---so I reckon if you can, keep away! |

Good morning!
Well.. I am holding steady at 197 ish... I get off and back on and it says 196.. then 197.2 then 196...LOL. I did the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred yesterday. OY! She is rough. So when I go on the treadmill... Im usually not getting a sweat going until the 15 min mark or so.. I usually do 45 min.. even tho I am overweight I am pretty strong and have pretty good endurance on the treadmill... I really pust myself..... anyhow.. no joke.. within about 5-8 min of the shred I have sweat starting to pour off me ( im not a sweater by nature)... the thing is.. its really basic stuff. Jumping jacks, pushups, running in place.. and some lunge like stuff... 20 min workout. And that is level 1...LOL!!! So... I still wonder if Im eating enough. Seems I should be losing more with what Im consuming. Yesterday was 2 eggs and a few peices of bacon ( i know not stillman but its what I had and I know "I" need some fat).. then I had 2 HB eggs (1yolk) for lunch, dinner was 5 pieces of beef chunks that I pulled out of the stew I made for the family. This has been about the amount I have been eating every day... maybe not enough? Sounds like everyone is doing great! Keep it up! |

Wow Sheri! You're doing great! Is there any limit to how much protein we consume? So far today i've already had 70g. That seems like a lot! Also, has anyone found a solution to making coffee taste better without really cheating? It's my biggest weakness. I can't drink it black and without it i've got a terrible headache and i'm exhausted. I'm going to try a couple diet sodas....

Hi Sheri! Nasty scale!
I always sweat more if I do aerobics than if on the bike-no idea why-maybe cos you bounce around more!(or maybe I'm lazier on the bike!) ![]() No idea about the calories-mine are always pretty low these days. A lot of people say tho if the scale isn't moving-do up the calories. Yours do seem low. I haven't really ever upped them that much(scared I will actually put on weight) but did one or two days about 2 weeks ago when I was having a long stall and was fed up with it-and it did seem to stop the stall-went back to low-cal tho. Anyway I have no hunger at all on Stills-except in the morning-I actually have to force myself to have turkey at din.! Oh how I wish I had a workout machine. I really was getting into the treadmill.
I couldnt believe how fast 45 min goes by when listening to my ipod... helps so much. I really have a hard time on the ellipitcal.. hurts my knee and hip. I think I have Sciatica issues ... and the way the peddles rotates really hurts it. Anyhow... I didnt exercise today.. day of rest.. LOL But.. I also realized something .. Ive only had 2 eggs and 3 slices of bacon today. Its now 8:30 pm. I made the family garlic bread and pasta with clam sauce and realized I forgot to take some chicken or something out for me .. so I didnt eat any dinner. I have to fast anyhow... lol, I am doing my bloodwork tomorrow to test my thyroid levels and I told them to do the full work up since Im there. I havent had everything done since being back to low carb so I will be anxious to hear the results. My last showed that my HDL was low, my LDL was creeping up but more importantly my glucose levels were higher than where they should be. I was drinking a lot of alcohol during that time so that may have been part of it. ( not like binging..LOL, but a few cocktails every few days). I will check in with you all tomorrow... hope you are doing well! |

Cupcake: It is hard with a small baby but that's what motivates me. I was on bedrest or in the hospital for 7 months of my pregnancy so I think I just got tired of doing nothing. It killed my muscles though. I learned that last night. I did 20 minutes on the eliptical doing the "Fat Burner" program and it kicked my butt!! I think it'd be almost harder without the kids because I'd just think 'oh...i'll exersize later...'. With kids I know there is no later
Sheri: The elliptical DOES hurt more!! I read all this stuff about how it's easier on your joints. That's def. not true. It really hurts! I'd reccomend trying craigslist for a really good deal on one! I couldn't have bought one new...especially during the holidays...but craigslist made it possible! Your pasta sounds SO SO good! It's hard to cook and not taste! I made pancakes 2 morinings in a row for my older 2 and they had Pizza last night. It smelled SO SO good! I hope your bloodwork comes out well! My weight this morning was 135.9 but last night it was 138 again so I have no idea what it really is.
