I know the feeling (baggy work attire), Aleriaaa! I have to make an honest attempt to mix/match my outfits now. My skirts are too big so they make me look too big. .I've had to donate a ton!

Just an FYI. .I'm in here typing on the computer merely to get away from the Friday Night Pizza!!! I know. .its horrible but my kids have grown so accustomed to Pizza on Friday nights that my 9 year old will actually cry if hubby doesn't bring it home! Its been their tradition for several years (I used to work on Friday nights so hubby was responsible for dinner).. .Both he and I have not induldged since July. . some weeks are more difficult than others. the smell alone is enough to kill me!

Anywho. .thought I would log in instead of eating that greasy, ooeeyy gooeeey mess! I just keep reminding myself that it will be an oooeey, gooeeey mess in my jelly belly!! I didn't get as much accomplished today as I expected to even though I had the whole day off! I'm trying to rack up some steps on my pedometer.. I'm so far behind yesterday just by being home. . I also had to help with a tour of our facility so that racked up some walking points for me yesterday. . My goals is 10 miles per day. . Lets see if I can do it. . .

OK coast is clear. . all pizza has been consumed. . MMmm. What did that take. . 2.5 seconds?? Sometimes it pays to have 4 boys in the house!!! hehehehe

LOL! For the baggy sweats! I was wearing the long MOOMOO, sun dresses to cover my fat up! God, I really hate them now! I refuse to put anything pants/jeans on my body till I'm closer. I can't believe I gained 25-30 lbs. OMWord! Was I asleep? ! When your depressed and not motivated, alcohol really hits the spot! Oh, well, that was then, this is now! Praise God I don't run to that anymore, I run to HIM!

Had a wonderful day today. Only ate ckn as I didn't have time to go to the store. I'm not starving either. It's 8 p.m. here in LA and I'm so ready for sleep!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day!! Can't wait to jump on the scale in the morning!

I have failed. I unconsciously put 1 sweet & low in my extra large coffee. Not to make excuses, but I was half asleep and I totally forgot till the coffe was guzzled 3/4 of the way down. I should get points for throwing the rest away though, right?

black coffee for the afternoon - promise! (even put a post-it out to remind me)

o.k I said this before and I will say it again...by far the hardest day is the first day..because you can always say...I will start tomorrow...and that is what I did yesterday.
I did great all day then I went to a party with my hubby and I had some wine and then the pizza and wings came and then some wine...once I had the first glass I said well I already blew it.. I guess I will start tomorrow...I did have a great time and it was the first time in a long time I enjoyed myself at a party, usually I am dieting or driving..so....with that said..
Today is day 1....I willl be good today..feeling very strong....
Cant wait to hear some scale reports....

Don't be too hard on yourself Jess! Once you get in ther groove, you'll be amazed at how easy it gets! Stay strong today. Heck, you can be at LEAST 10 lbs lighter by Thanksgiving. Even 15, depending on how carbed up you are!

Al, just throw those AS in a bag and hide them!! Don't sweat it. You've lost so much using them a half a cup won't hurt!

I'm up .2 today! No biggy! TOM is here and I didn't eat every much yesterday. Like maybe 700 cals if that. And, when I eat only ckn I think it affects my losses. Gotta go to the store today!

BBL! Stay strong ladies

Is this the place to come to get so skinny that my slip falls off? I wanna join all you losers!

I've been low carbing for years to keep my weight down, but I fall off the wagon a LOT. I already had Stillman's book, so after reading through this thread and seeing all your QUICK successes, I went back to the book and thought, "I can do this". (I love that he stressed that his diet is for FAST weight loss; I'm impatient. Also, I love that I don't have to eat veggies; I hate veggies.)

I'm an obsessive calorie-counter and diet-tweaker. I'm going to commit to doing this by the book (yes, complete with cottage cheese and cocktail sauce) until I need to adjust AND I will NOT count calories, just listen to my hunger.

Jessie -- I'm with you: DAY #1 WHOO-HOO!

My hub and I are going to the horse races today and I've already filled my purse with skim-milk cheese sticks. (Boo-hoo: no wine for me.)

I'm so excited to be here!!!!

Daisy: So glad to have you . . and thank you for reminding me of the humor in my little losses!!

Girls! I lived through pizza last night! I admit, I did pop a pepperoni and it was like heaven in my mouth. .but that's it! No crust. no cheese .. I can do it. .

Jesse/Daisy.. You can do it, too. . Consider it a half day and strive for a full day today! Just remember to eat every few hours. doesn't have to be a lot but just to keep your levels even. If you let yourself get too hungry, it usually backfires! I think I do better when I actually eat more! . .

I did weigh in and I think the scale said 1/2 pound down! I quickly jumped off as it frightened me but I'm taking it . .and will log it on ******..(That makes it real, ya know?)

Al: What in the gosh darn heck are you doing with Sweet-N-Low in your house! Just Say No. . Do we have to do an intervention here? Well. .??? Like one Sweet-N-Low is gonna kill you. . . you crack me up. . I think for that, you must walk around the outside of your house ten times! I'll give up the pepperoni, you throw out the sweet N Low. deal?

I made a funny observation yesterday, since I've been losing weight, the size of my purse has been getting smaller and smaller! Funny. next thing ya know, I'll be carrying a wallet to work!

I really slept in this morning and it felt wonderful but I must get moving . I hear the coffee calling my name. . Hot bath, my current issue of People magazine and my coffee. > I can so face the world today

BTW: I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for posting on this forum. . It really has helped me stay focused and reminds me that even little losses add up to big losses eventually. Plus, I'll say it again. .. these posts remind me that I'm not the only one who has crazy thoughts !! I hope we can continue into November and December! Those tend to be rough months for everyone and I can really use the support!

ONe last fleeting thought - Is anyone else sick and tired of putting their life on hold until they "lose the weight". .I've decided no more excuses. . I need to do it now and just live whether I'm thick or thin! I should plan that trip to Disney before my oldest leaves the next for good. . Goodness . that's only a couple years away. . I hate old. . Wahhhhhhh

I am very guilty of this. I've been so embarrased of my weight for so long now and I've missed out on way too much because of my ridiculous anxieties. Never again!

Hey Starzmom!!! You're always up to speed on great recipes. Do you happen to have a sausage recipe that you've tried that I can make with ground pork? I know theres some fennel in there but what else?

OMG - this forum has exploded! Ive been busy the past couple days - I never thought I would have this much catching up to Do! Better set my email notifications to immediate.

I skimmed over most of your posts. But I am SOOOOO excited to see Daisy here! She is my LC Twin! And she is a fountain of knowledge and good ideas - she knows this stuff back and forth! She is definitely a GREAT person to have on the boards with us!

Right now Im still doing good - doing my running and this week only did Stillmans every other day, and rotated with my hour CAD meal. Last week I could tell I was down, so I wanted to slow the loss somewhat. Plus my running was suffering - the low calories dont really make me feel the greatest with the running. So next week I think I will do a 5 day stint (is that a word? who knows) of Stillmans to see where Im at.

Its hard to figure this out when im so close to goal - I sorta wanna balance the two (eating the Stillmans way/and CAD) because I like how I feel and the freedom of eating a carb meal. Doing STillmans every other day definitely maintains my weight - its sorta like doing the JUDDD diet -

And I noticed someone asked about the mustard. I dont wanna come off like I think mustard is evil - I just find that the more plain and clean and simple I keep Stillmans - the better results I get, and the fewer cravings. Could be all mental, who knows. I just find it keeps it all very simple, and eliminates variety - which stimulates appetite.

Oh - thats another thing Daisy - I forgot to tell you - BEST BOOK EVER: "The Thin Commandments". It was the biggest AHA! moment of my dieting life. My friend Erin wanted to borrow it, and I bought her one because I didnt wanna part with it. Its my diet bible. Its awesome! (Amazon, $3) I know about you and your Amazon addiction

First off, THANK YOU all for the welcoming welcome: you guys not only rock, you're a bunch of sweeties!

Well, it's official, I LOVE STILLMAN'S: after my 1st day, I'm down 1.5 lbs -- AMAZING! And I even had a teeny-tiny cheat with a teeny-tiny glass of wine at the track (maybe 5 oz. so about 2 carbs; can I trade my cottage cheese carbs for wine carbs? he, he). Besides that, I had 8 string cheeses while out and about then, when we got home, I boiled four eggs and mixed them with a can of sardines for dinner (I actually found sardines in water only; I thought you could only buy them with sauces).

Things I did differently on Stillmans than my usual LC diets: I made sure to drink my 8 glasses of water, I didn't keep track of calories (though I did add them up while lying in bed and realized I had less than 1100 all day and NO hunger. So cool.) In other words, I didn't tweak.

IM2fat (I feel mean writing that!) -- thanks for the encouragement and tip about not letting myself get too hungry since that's a problem for me. I have zero appetite in the mornings and often am too busy running around at lunchtime to eat, then end up binging at night. BTW: your posts totally crack me up!

Sillyerin --Truly my dieting twin: of course I already have The Thin Commandments. That book is the bomb: I bought it a few summers ago (of course on Amazon!) and got REALLY skinny; I think it brainwashes you somehow b/c after you mentioned it I remember how during that time I always had my nose in it and just kept eating low cal (wasn't low carbing yet). Thanks for reminding me! I just pulled out my copy and saw that it is FILLED with those yellow stickies to mark the pages with good ideas. I think what helped me the most is his tips on staving off cravings and also recognizing your own patterns of personal behavior regarding overeating and building a battle plan around them (for instance, I can NOT have any kind of sweets in the house; I know my pattern is to eat them in the evenings NO MATTER how strong I've been during the day).

Okay, now a question for you guys. It might be kind of premature, but I don't really see a maintenance plan on Stillman's; I mean, from what I've read so far, he says to return to his QWL plan whenever you creep up 3 pounds or so. Have you guys given any thought to what you'll do once you hit goal?

Also, being the Amazon addict that I am, I found another book he wrote call something like the 14-day Shape Up plan. How is that plan different from this one (book hasn't arrived yet)?

In closing (anyone still awake?), I just wanted to say that I think this is the ONLY Stillman's forum on the web! I couldn't find any other ones. I'm SO happy that you all started this b/c this kind of support is invaluable.

Foxy Ladies: I forgot all about the Thin Commandments. . Thank you for feeding my shopping addiction. I must buy another one. .If truth be known, I probably have it somewhere in the house but it'll be quicker just to get another copy!!!

Daisy: don't worry about my name. .it keeps me in check and takes me back to the day I registered. . I don't ever want to forget how I felt. .Defeated, anxious, drepressed, sick and tired and just plain ole' fat. I have to keep myself in line and it's a constant reminder of how I felt for years! I don't ever, ever want to go back there. . Besides, I still have some major fat movin' to do. .

Ok so my plan was to do some paperwork for my business yesterday but I got a little sidetracked. I was thinking about my new "no sweats" commitment and started digging through my closet again. One thing led to another and after 25 garbage bags (yes, 25!!!) of clothes, I can finally see the shelves. I purged everything that even resembles tooo Big. . No More Baggy clothes. . I am just saying no to elastic!! OMG. some of it was more difficult to part with than I realized it would be. It was like throwing away my comfort zone. .I had some definate "go to" outfits that I will not have any longer. . Whhhhhhh Oh well . .on to the next chapter. .

Ohh. .excitment is in the air. I am down another 1/2 pound this morning. . I shall celebrate with a pork toast!!! Good Luck everyone!! I know we can do it. .

Yep! The smaller and smaller I get, the more clothes I give away. I gave away all my size 8's and the only stuff I have in my closet are size 4's (some 2's) and a pair of size 6 capri's. That is HUGE in motivating me. I know I have to go back to clean eating or I wont have nothin' to wear! I also have a couple of pair of size 2's (ok, that are still sorta too tight to wear outtta the house) that I try on every now and then just to see how close I am to fitting into them. For some reason - that works tons better then weighing myself.

Daisy - I thought the SAME THING about Thin Commandments, that when I was always reading it I was getting really thin and doing AMAZING! Sorta like just reading all those EYE OPENING pages just keeps you on the wagon, its insane! I didnt even think twice about eating bad while reading that book!

Hey Girls!

I'm down .2 today. Not much but TOM is still here so all is well!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day! I'm exhausted! Been running around a lot this weekend. Want to take it easy!

I'm just pluggin' along here eatin' my turkey breast and a bit of mustard and water! Not much going on!

Good morning all! I was up bright and EARLY (5:30 am!) this morning and am wondering if high energy is a side-effect of this diet. WOW!

Also, I'm heading into PMS this week and I don't mind my losses coming to a screeching halt b/c of water but I'm wondering if Stillman's helps with the TOM binges. Anyone notice any difference?

IM2fat -- Congrats on clearing out the closet! I saw this guy on oprah last year who said that less clutter in one's house = weight loss (that sounds like a fortune cookie). In other words, these people who had chaotic, messy homes were more apt to be overweight. But I wonder if the converse might not be true: once you start losing weight you have more energy and just automatically feel like getting rid of old baggage (as it were). But, I digress.

Last night I was feeling sorry for myself for not being able to have a DQ Blizzard in the near future (i.e. in the next 10 minutes) and decided that I'll have on tomorrow (i.e. today). That made the big baby in me happy and it stopped whining and this morning I was looking forward to another Stillman's day. Ha! Fooled the baby! Maybe I'm on to something...

I'm sitting here eating a small container of cottage cheese with 3 drops of stevia and a sprinkle of cinammon. Uh, could this be breakfast???? I was actually hungry this morning; I'm curious to see what, if any difference, eating so early makes for me.

Okee-dokey, off to get ready for the day. Hope you guys have a wonderful Monday!!!
