Hey Longstocking! Today was my first day on Stillman's. Have you been doing this for a while?

My plan is to do 12 consecutive days of this. I hope I can make it!

Today I had: protein shakes and some fish. That's it!!

How about you? What was on your menu today?

Hi everyone. I've been lurking for the past six weeks or so, but thought I'd finally come out of the shadows. I've been doing a modified Stillman since May 27th (adding a bit of spinach and romaine). It's gone great so far. Lost about 16 pounds, which shocks me more than I can explain. I'm getting accustomed to the lack of variety in my diet, but I actually think that may be a good thing. Just wish I could really tame my chocolate cravings, but that's my current project.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Shelby

jjanet, welcome

I'm sure you can do 12 consecutive days on Stillman's! Keep us updated.

I'm cycling Stillman's with other lowcarb plans. Today was a VLC (very low carb) day for me. I had steak. A lot of it.

Shelby, hi! And Welocme! I add some green leafy veggies now and then, too. Congrats on the weight loss! Way to go!

As far as I know, in other forum sections most members post their menus in the monthly thread, so I think it's better that we do the same. Let's make this thread more active, ladies!

But if you want to contunue posting in your old threads that's ok, too. It's up to you.

Good luck, everyone!

I'm about to get ready for a few days of Stillman's. I have dabbled in it before but I'm not sure if I do it right... as I remember it's low fat, ultra low carb, low taste, low variety, fast weight loss. I'm cool with that, I have my son't wedding coming up in November and I'm not losing fast enough with Atkins.

Before you start I would suggest you to read the Stilman's Quick Weight Loss sticky first. There's a list of allowed foods and all the directions you might need.

You're right it's a low-fat, very low-carb diet. As for taste and variaty, let's just say, there're people who want to enjoy food and there are people who want to lose wieght. If you belong to the latter you've come to the right place.
If the lack of variety and taste still bugs you a little I would suggest you to check out the Stillman's recipe thread. It must be somewhere in our section.

Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome, Longstocking! And welcome, Smallerizing. From what I have experienced these past 6 weeks, you've pretty much nailed the definition of this diet, although I think you can work a bit with the low taste part with some spices. Best of luck!

In a nutshell, been tried stillman's before and know how fast, rewarding it is. One doesnt only lose weight, but body comosition changes. Have had slimmer legs... then

Now.. need to lose 40 pounds, and gain self-esteem.

Sure, it will be easier in supportive company!

Ha, Liz, I SO should not have read that! Congratulations, though! That's a fantastic loss in so few days.

Hi Alyona, welcome to Stillman's! It's working great for me so far - hope you enjoy it as well!

Katia and Longstocking, hope all is well with you guys, too!

Thank you, Shelby for your support! I'm doing great today. Well, I'm actually fasting today (I'm doing intermittent fasting). I'm going to have chicken tomorrow.

Good luck everyone!

How does the IF work for you, Longstocking? I'm too weak to actually make that happen for me. I've read Fast Five and am thinking about working that into my schedule, but I think I'd have to have at least a six-hour window. Do you fast a full day?

No, I eat every day. I fast for 24 hrs 2 or 3 times a week. For example, I fasted from 11 a.m. yesterday til 11 a.m. of today.

IF works great for me. I lost about 3 lbs on my last fast. Woo-Hoo!
