Can we have this?

Sugar-free & fat-free BBQ sause? or salad dressing? Walden Farms has a few

Fat Free cream cheese (0 fat, 2 carbs)
If we can have that; then could we make those cloud things without the butter? Its cream cheese, spenda, and vanilla flavor, whipped together and frozen.

Egg beaters?

Light soy milk? (1 net carb, 1 or 2 grams of fat, have to check again)

I think there are other things out there that Stillman would have allowed but just were available 40 years ago. A lot of changes AND choices in food have happened since then.

Also, when you count carbs, is it net carbs or total carbs?

Can you have sugarless gum?

If you are doing stillmans then technically no. Sugarless gum still has sweetener in it, which can stall some poeple and cause cravings. On stillmans he said nop, nope, nope. Dont even try it. However sodas are allowed, which is interesting.

But as you said, the book is old. Thats why i think we shoudl rewrite the book per say. We should debate and write down all the things that we think he would allow if he has writing the book today....
Then make it a sticky

On stillmans you are counting whole carbs, not net carbs, and really you are not counting carbs, just eating what is on the list, as much as you want of it until you are full but not stuffed. However that can backfire if poeple eat a ton of cottage cheese for example, most of it has 5 carbs per serving, 4 servings and they are out of the game. Idealy you would keep your carbs below 10.

Hmmmm, intresting. So he said no AS, but alows diet soda with AS and sugar free jello with AS as well. But not sugar free gum? Maybe its because we are only allow a minimal amount of AS, so the max is one SF jello, and one diet soda. And maybe if you didn't have either one of those, you can have the gum?? Gosh, I'm like a little kid trying to get her way! LOL!

Thanks for looking into that; I've been meaning to get the copy of the book. I think it would be a great idea to make a sticky. I think a variety can really help use getting burned out on chicken breast and eggs!

The reason I like to count is for your very example. If I didn't, I would eat and eat and eat and not realizing how much carbs and fat I had! 4 grams of fat for each egg adds up! My FF cottage cheese say 7 grams of carbs! I was hoping the net carbs would be okay, because of the soy milk, but oh well....can't blame a food addict for trying
