getting very frustrated!!

Been doing stillmans for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I'm about 10lbs to goal!! But the last week i've hardly seen a difference on the scale. i know the last 10lbs is the hardest, but this is driving me nuts!! I feel and look smaller, but the scale says different, and i'm very anxious to start introducing veggies into my diet, i'm going to be doing atkins induction for 2 weeks after i reach goal, then proceed to the other phases as followed.

i need help!! any suggestions for getting off these last ten lbs???

Also, my birtday is on june 18th, i dont really plan on cheating, maybe a few bites of things here and there, but i would love to have some veggies or brown rice with my steak. I would much rather be at goal though if im going to do so.

awee yeah that sounds frustrating =(

are you exercising? drinking all your water? taking supplements? maybe if you share your menus here the experienced "stillmaners" can have a look and share their insights? just in case there is something there that might be stalling you...

i've been sticking to mostly eggs and chicken, i eat when im hungry so i don't really have any meal plan going on. sometimes ill add cheese to eggs, but i've been staying away from almost everything else. i have roast beef slices but i've checked the labels there are absolutely no carbs. Some days i've actually eaten a carb controlled protein bar for breakfast because i just had no time for anything else. i have been using cream in my coffee somedays. could that be it? other than that im exercising and drinking enough water to fill a river!

geez well yeah it sounds like you are doing a very clean diet, the only thing i can think of (and i know is going to sound awful since you are already so restricted on your options) is to skip the cheese and the cream? do you know how many calories you are eating per day? maybe is way too low and your body is already catching up and on starvation mode. I hope is not that. I find it that when I eat around 900 calories I lose a little more than when I eat 600 cals for example.

What about the supplements? Are you taking a multivitamin, chromium, etc?

Don't get discouraged!! you are very close to your goal so you just need to identify what is stalling you and then you'll be successful xx

hmm, yea maybe i'll try upping the calories. today so far i've about 7 eggs and a can of tuna with some other random things including cheese and cream. i guess i should try to stay at at least 1200 calories even if im not hungry?

7 eggs = 119 cal.
1 can of tuna in water = 131 cal.
1 ounce of skim mozzarella = 70 cal
1 tbsp of sour cream = 26 cal

total = 346 cal.

in my opinion that is too low, i would definitely try to eat at least 800 cal. minimum.

Remember there are carbs in eggs, and fat. I would cut out the eggs and see if that helps?
7 eggs is not 119 cals... not even close! eggs are around 80 cals a piece

You are looking at around 750 calories.

yep you are right and I was wrong - I looked it up on calorieking but I didn't realise the calorie content was for one portion of one tablespoon

sorry about that

Amanda
I don't know if you seen the post I had in June's link and link about doing Induction just on the weekends, but I went through the same thing as you. I was on stillmans for 2 weeks with no change and 10 pounds to go. I finally broke my stall and I have 5 pounds to go.
FOR ME (everybody is different), changing it up I think helped. I think your body gets immune to the same thing every day.
Are you keeping track of your fat intake? I know alot of low carb stuff has high fat and low fat seems to have high carbs! It makes it a challenge, but thats why the turkey breast, egg whites, lean meats and fish are pushed so much because they have both low fat and low carb. I'm not clear on this, and someone correct me, but is it that were are supposed to not go over 10 carbs or 10 fat grams? It seems that I read that and thats what I have been trying to do during the work week. All I know, is that 2 weeks with no movement on the scale eating nothing but turkey breast and lean hamburger made me go nuts!!! Instead of going of and doing a binge, I wish I would have tried to change my menu up a little.
Good luck!!

We're not suppossed to not go over 10 g of carbs. It would be almost impossible to keep your fat that low. 1 chicken egg has 5 g of fat and most meats have some fat. Stillman didn't say you should limit your eggs to 1 or 2 a day, but it's obvios that, say, eating egg whites instead of whole eggs would probably give better results...

Why don't you try intermittent fasting with Stillmans......it works like a HOT DAMN.....at least it do for me. I've lost 40lbs since April 1st. I do workout 6 days a week and do Turbulence Training but my success has been crazy. Hard work but the pay of rocks. Also the fasting really zaps all cravings and hunger. Nothing has ever worked for me ever long term until the fasting. I started doing it with the low cal diet....then hit a plateau...sadly a plateau for me is when I don't lose a pound a day or at least every two days.....I know...it's just who I am. So I decided on Stillman's with the fasting (Eat-Stop-Eat). Luv it! Thanks to the fasting I never cheat at all on any method of eating. Just no temptations in over 2.5 months. Just my 2 cents take it or leave it. We are all different and I have found what works for me....and will recommend it till the cows come home. Have got family doing also with awesome results. Good luck in whatever we all do. Cheers All!

Wow, that sounds fantastic! Could you explain how do you do it exactly? Do you eat one day that fast the day after and then on the third day eat again? Please, tell us more!

EDIT: I found the June IF thread. It turnes out you're supposed to fast for only 19 hours daily. Is this what you did/do? How does it combine with stillman's? It's says that you don't usually start losing weight until the forth week on this diet. Although combined with stilman's I'm sure most people will lose weight very quickly...

For the fasting part I fast from 6:30Pm to 6:30PM every other day. This way you are eating each day. Not a day goes by without food. That 24 hours gets you out of being in the fed state. From hour 18-24 is huge fat burning so this is when I do my workouts to super charge things. Then I just eat according to the Stillman's QWL plan. It's gangbuster's at the moment. I have found an awesome combination. During the fast for 24 hours you can drink diet pop and water...really it's not hard. this is the easiest thing I've ever done. Being on the Eat-Stop-Eat for almost 3 months now has made the transition into Stillman's QWL beyond easy. In the beginning I was having trouble sleeping due to the energy but it soon regulated. I lost weight from day one.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask. I'm off to the back yard.....it is a sunny magnificently warm day here in calgary......have a great weekend all. Hey Longstocking I have an e-book I can e-mail you on Eat-Stop-Eat if you'd like...let me know girlie.

Sounds so good! I love fasting, really. It's a nice feeling to give your body a rest from food for a while. I'm definitely gonna give it a try!

I've got one question tough: I have a very slow metabolism and I'm barely losing even on stilman's, so I'm curious how fast are you losing by doing this?

C U Round, how many calories do you take in on your "eat" days????

I'd be very interested in your e-book as well, C U. Could you enable your PM messaging for me to send you my e-mail address??

Thanks,
