started yesterday ...Help

Hi all, need some help. I started Stillmans yesterday and I'm actually up 1/2 pd. How is this possible ? I stayed on plan, Here's my menu from yesterday

1 fried egg with Pam
1/2 cp cottage cheese
1 chicken breast
1-2 slices of cheddar cheese
1 chicken breast
4 oz ribs

Wondering if I should cut down on the cheddar cheese or was it the ribs >

Any help is appreciated

Thank You

Joy

Was the cheddar cheese or cottage cheese fat free? I would think it would have been that and the ribs. Ribs are high in fat. And if it had BBQ sause on it, that has alot of sugar.
The stillman is basically fat free, carb free (or as close as you can get it) from lean meat, fish, chicken and eggs.
Doesn't leave much I know....

Remember, even though it is low carb 3500 calories is one pound, so what you are losing is more than likely mostly water weight, hang in there and stay away from the bbq sauce

Congrats on the loss Joybird!

Thanks for posting your menu... I'm probably going to be starting Stillmans in a couple of days and I'm kind of afraid of hard it's going to be. I really love to dip chicken or any other meat in like ranch, hot sauce, etc.. But none of that's allowed, right??

Congrats again!

No, you cant dip. You can use a tiny bit of some condiments like ketchup, or horseradish. But no ranch

I found some FF and sugar free; carb free bbq sause thats pretty good. Back in 1969 when this book was written, and then revised in 72; we need to keep in mind that foods were much more limited then they were today. I would think that stillman would have allowed somethings that are available today that weren't almost 40 years ago! 40 YEARS, lots of changes since then.
I don't know, maybe I'm way off to think that?? But I just took it this was as carb free and and as low fat as you can get.

Ya, i think we should rewrite it... then post it as a sticky. And include microwave pork rinds for TOM as a salty crunchy snack
