starting stillman's tomorrow morning

I am new to the Stillman's diet and am hoping to lose around 70 pounds. If anyone has any nuggets of wisdom they have learned while on it I would love to hear them. My mom did this diet back when it was first introduced and lost a bunch of weight so she recommended I try it. Thanks

I am getting ready to restart stillmans I tried it in the fall but got WAY side tracked with the holidays. I lost like 17 or 19 pounds in about 3 weeks and it wasn't just water, maybe the first 5 but I went down an entire pant size in that little of time. Its the most challenging the first day, once you get past that its smooth sailing. But if you do have the urge to "cheat" I'd recommend fighting the urge as much as possible thats how I blew it for myself. Or maybe if you just HAVE to cheat, cheat with akins for a day. I'm starting tomorrow, I have my first day at a new job and I thought it would be fun to start both together. And I need to drop some serious pounds ASAP! Good luck, I'll be posting on the boards starting tomorrow, maybe we can try to motivate each other.

Good luck for the first day at your new job, i've just started a new job too.
I've decided that i am going to give stillman's a real go for two weeks then let my gut feel decide what to do after that (ie atkins or more stillman's or a combo).
I have about 70lbs to lose and i really really need to start heading in the right direction with my weight and fast! being this big is killing me!!!
i'm excited about the simplicity, lack of hunger and fast results that stillman's seems to produce.

Hi all, Im going to start Stillmans tomorrow. Is this diet safe for an extended period, or is it something you should only do for a few days ?

In Dr. Stillman's book he says to stay on QWL to you get all your weight off then only go back only to maintain if you slip up. I wish I could tell you that I was maintaining and what I was doing, but I have a more to lose. I will probably do a modified QWL for the rest of my life adding veggies and some fruits.
