Stillman's = No fat??

I am thinking about trying Stillman's. As great as I feel while doing Atkins, I just don't lose anymore. I had finally talked myself into fat=weight loss because of all of the success stories where folks upped their fats and started losing again. Thing is, that's not working for me.
Are there those of you that started seeing results when you cut the fat ala Stillman's? Thanks!

WOE: whatever works!
I do lose weight when I eliminate fat for a few days. But I love my fat, so don't think this is something I could do long-term. It helped to break my stall though. HTH

I lose weight much faster when I cut out added fat like olive oil, etc. Even adding red meat to Stillman's won't give me the results I get from just plain chicken cooked with Pam.

Although I don't think it's healthy in the long run to cut out fats and especially EFAs, I do like the fast results I get from Stillman's. Once I really get into the diet, and it's a hard diet to stick to, it seems as if the fat is just melting off. Right now I'm struggling to get back into it after a few months of total carb over-load.....

Thank you for the replies! I'm thinking I may cycle a few days of this in now and again as a (hopefully!) stall breaker. For the long-term, life without fat is not worth living! lol.

In the past, I've had more success with Stillman than Atkins. I generally eat smoked turkey which is lower in fat than beef, but I use some string cheese as well.

Good Luck,

Abby

I too do not do well with fats... they make me fat. On Atkins no worries, on Atkins I just skip the fats..

Hi Jen...sorry that I didn't see your post until now.
I've had some health issues that have kept me from focusing on tweaking my diet as planned. What I *have* done tho, is cut down on dairy fat (wow, I was using tooo much cream, cheese, etc.) and I think I may see some downward movement!!
Have you been cycling Stillman's? How has it worked for you?
Good luck!

idioglossic...yeah, as I get closer to goal, it just seems that I'm eating too much fat...or at least the wrong kind of fat. I am making major cuts on dairy to see what that does.

I know for me if I cut down on cheese or leave it entirely out of my diet for weeks at a time makes me lose weight rather quickly. Yet, I am addicted to cheese.

Yeah...I'm thinking dairy may be THE reason why I've been stuck. And I am JONESING for cream in my coffee like you wouldn't believe. Aaargh!

As long as the scale is moving downward steadily I will eat and put up with just about anything.
