Hello everyone. Doing great here... last day or so has been crazy. We do foster care and generally only take babies but they called me in a pinch with a sibling group of 3 boys ages 2,3 and 5... YIKES!!! Since they know we usually takes babies they asked if we could just keep them a day or 2 until they found permanent placement... so I caved and said yes. I ended up not getting home from the ER until 2am with them. Long night ,long day but they did find a placement that took all 3 boys so they stayed together which is awesome.
Now that I bored you to tears with the boring details in my life... what I want to say is that even with all the crazyness I still stuck to the plan, didn't use it as an excuse to cheat, so very happy bout that. Today is dh birthday and we went to texas road house for dinner and while everything I ate was legal I feel like I ate too much(8 oz steal with onions, and got 2 small salads as my choices for 2 sides and I had too many peanuts). I do not usually eat big meals more like several smaller meals so when something like this happens and I feel stuffed and it makes me feel like I cheated. I must be losing my mind!!!

ok so I just entered everything into ****** and it was not as bad as I thought. It was definitly higher calories then I usually eat but not over my amount I am able to have according to ******. It was definitly not stillmans either but only 17.4 net carbs. Oh well we will have to see if it hurts me come weigh in day
What is wrong with me that I feel like I cheated when I didn't? Do you guys ever get like that? |

I think you made a very good choice with eating out. That is usu. the biggest downfall period. I know, it feels like you cheated although it was still atkins..just because stillmans is sooo strict. Bet you'll still see a loss on the scale though. I ate chicken from carribean takeout yesterday and feel the same way b/c I used the spicy sauce (a lot of it..lol). Back to doing strict stillmans today. |

Hey everyone, what a weekend, way too much food, hockey and carbs. Anyway now that St. Pat's food day is gone I am back on track.
I was thinking about doing six very small meals a day. 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm,and 5pm. I am hoping with the small items I will do better. I am out of cottage cheese but I will pick some up tonight, boil some eggs, grab some LF Mozz cheese sticks and some thin steaks. I really would like to get off these last 15-20 pounds before the warm weather really hits. Nothing like a bathing suit to get you motivated. Glad to hear everyone is doing well, hopefully I will have better news about my weight tomorrow.

Hi Cat, that's what I do and it's been working for me. Plus, w/o fat, I don't stay full as long.
I said I was going to get back on strict stillmans yesterday but 'caved' and had rotisserie chicken (skin on) with their spicy sauce again (I luv that sauce and overdo it). So today, boiling eggs now and will make myself eat my own lunch!! |

Well I lost 4 pounds of water yesterday, which is fine. I really need stay motivated to get through a good two months of QWL. Then who knows...maybe 4 on 3 off. Which is what I always tell myself but haven't gotten there yet. I did Turbo Jam last night, which is where all the water loss came from. I will either do Turbo Jam again tonight or go for a run, not sure. I have tried eating a little bit every couple of hours but I am not sure if I like it or not. I guess it really won't matter if the weight comes off

Hey Newbie here....trying out stillmans for the first day. **** already screwed it up, but not bad. To eat:
1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese mixed with a can of tuna 2 boiled eggs 15 olives!! SCREW UP....= 1/2 TBSP fat (not too bad i guess) 2 slice deli turkey 2 egg and cup of spinach omelette (2nd screw up) small thin slice grilled beef (some kind of inside round?? i dunno) Dinner to come... That sounds like alot, but it is my first day and im not feeling the magical "im not hungry" feeling as of yet. My diet sounds more like Atkins actually minus the cottage cheese....I try to stick to South Beach .....had alot of luck with it a few years back then slipped. Wish me luck, Stillmans seems great and simple! i like simple. I will miss my veg though ![]() |

Tattoo girl ~ Everyone screws up sometimes but the closer you stick the better you will do, at least that is what works for me.I am down 2 more pounds. I did Turbo last night then went to the store for some steaks and cottage cheese. This morning I had a piece of steak, some cottage cheese and a HB egg. Lunch will be more steak, Mozz cheese stick and a SF Jell-O Dinner...maybe a steak and some fried eggs. Good luck to everyone, you can do it. |

Down one more pound today. Yeah! I am struggling with staying on track today since it is the weekend. So far so good. I am hoping to get into the 120's tomorrow, it has been a while since I have been there. Hopefully I can stay at it through the weekend, it is so hard when I am home and everything looks so good.
Hope everyone is doing well! |

Tattoo_girl ~ Stillman's is tough there is no doubt about it. Don't feel bad if it's not for you. I really don't care much for fruit or veggies, I never have my whole life so this type of eating doesn't bother me at all. I did know someone who ate QWL through the week and then had a salad on the weekend and she still lost weight. The most I lost was 16 pounds in 20 days, then I caved
Everyone has a bad day or two in a row...like me this past weekend...yikes just fell hard off the wagon. But I am back on and with a few good weeks I will be where I want. You should talk to cskies, she lost a ton of weight on Stillman's so it can work, but like I said it is tough ![]() Shari ~ my body does love Stillman's... I am a true carnivore. Now to just hang tough!!! |

hey all! congrats for sticking with it! weekends are hard, that's for sure. Well, as of yesterday I was down 10 pounds in almost a month, which makes me ecstatic. This weekend we have a big dinner out with friends (it was set for earlier this month, but i changed it), so I'm going to ask for low carb options, but will definitely have fat in my meal and drink wine. Hopefully if I'm right back on the wagon on Sunday i'll be okay...maybe it will help even?
How do people do when they do regular atkins (full fat) for a day or two? is there weight gain if the carbs are still low and the calories not crazy? I'm hoping it wouldn't affect you, b/c you're still burning the same way, right? Or am i just dreaming? |

Yes, Tatoogirl...stillmans is tough!! I definitely eat salad/veggies when I feel that my body is craving for it then just get back on the next day. I still lose. Don't think you're not doing well if you can't stick with it for days on end..even Cskies ate veggies every now and then.
Cat~glad you got right back on track. 16lbs in 20 days is very good!!Jujigirl~ I ate at Applebee's on Friday..reg induction meal but didn't weigh so don't know how it affected me. Did Stillman's Sun & Sat and lost weight since last week. So if it stalls, it doesn't for long. HTH. |

Hey everyone!!! I weighed in Monday morning and had no loss (no gain either). It sucked!!! I have been doing more atkins induction for the last 2 days to maybe shake things up a bit. I still have way too much to lose to be stalling now. I know I need to start back on the treadmill again. GRRR!!! so frustrated!!!

It'll move, KSS!! Don't give up. Yes, adding the treadmill again really helped move the scale down for me..although I stalled in the beg. I usu. shake things up unintentionally..I still eat atkins when I want my veggies.

I am down another two pounds this morning. I am doing a new workout Chalean Extreme, so while I did work out I didn't feel like I really burned it up. Anyway, I didn't eat enough yesterday, got some bad news and for once I didn't grab the ice cream or chips or bread, but I didn't grab anything. Definitely more food today and more often.
Good luck to everyone, hope you have a great LC day!!! |

Hey when you guys shake things up by doing atkins for a few days (for veggies) - do you do lowfat atkins? or true atkins with bacon (mmm) and salad dressing (another mmmmm!)?

If ever end needing a shake up or just need a break, those are the things that I tend to reach for. On weekends I sometimes eat bacon or sausage just for a change and if for some reason I ever crave a salad, I do use ranch dressing.
Shari~ I have been even closer to goal, but it always seems like I quit within 10 pounds. I am not sure why that is??? I wish I could just stick with it and get there and then maintain |

Too late to join?
Hi all, I've just been reading through this challenge, and it seems like a good place to be. I started Stillman's today. Can I join the group? How much longer is this challenge going on for? I have a blog where I'm going to log everything (weight, what I eat, measurements etc.) Would be great to have some support through the next few months. I've got about 50lbs to lose. Hope to hear from you soon!

Jujigirl~When shaking things up, I eat reg induction food....salads (reg dressing) high-fat meats, etc. It nice because I feel like I'm 'cheating' in a since but my cheats are really atkins!!
![]() Cat~know what you mean..I always seemed to crack when I got to a certain point. Being a part of a challenge has really helped me to get through my binge/cheat days to actually stick with plan and get past that point. I really feel coming here (LCF) and posting regularly helps me. Kamills!! Glad you're here. This is an ongoing thread so pull up a seat and come on in!! You can def lose 50lbs doing this. The difficult times comes when you get bored with the plainness of this WOE, but like I posted earlier..I just eat reg induction and then come back to Stillmans...still lose. |

Morning All,
I am down one more pound I weighed myself 3 times to see if it would come back with 129.9 but it just wouldn't do it. Oh well, maybe if I had worked out it would have gone down. I was just too busy . Still really stressed out, so I didn't eat quite as much as I should have, I did drink all my water so that was good. kamills, jump on board, Stillman's will help you get the weight off quickly if you stick with it! You can do it |
