Hadenuff...from what I understand it is a matter of choice...but staying on Stillman's can be quite boring ...most people use it for 10 days or less I think.
I have used it with a 10 day on Stillman's and then 2 days off on Atkins induction to lose weight since the beginning of the New Year. I had pretty good success with Stillmans this way. There are threads *stickies* at the beginning of the Stillman board that explain more and then there are some people that have the book so they can give you a better answer than I can.

Good morning everyone!
I am with you cskies, I love a new month! I am down 2.2 pounds since I weighed myself last Thursday, would have been better but I have been stressed and have found solace in food ![]() I plan on doing a combination of QWL and something else once I reach my goal. Most likely 4 days QWL and 3 days of ... QWL suits me so I don't see any reason to give it up completely.Have a great day everyone! |

Hey Cat...are you finding your weight coming off slowly since you are so close to goal even though you are doing what you have always been doing?
And might I add you are doing great with the weight loss and 2.2 pounds is nothing to sneeze at!! ![]() |

Hi All! New to Stillman's, but a former Atkins Girl. I have a wedding coming up Labor Day weekend that i am in and would love to lose about 15 lbs before then. Stillman's looked interesting because i needed a low calorie alternative to Atkins. Last summer Atkins landed me in the doctors office because of some gall bladder issues from the high fat. So, I am eager to try something new and get the jump start I need to become a healthier me!
I need all the support and advice i can get! I would love some meal ideas for my 14 days of Stillmans! Had a single egg with just a touch of ketchup (LOVE KETCHUP!!) Brought Salad Materials for lunch (lettuce, cukes, peppers) ![]()

Happy July Everyone!
Welcome Jillbean.
![]() I'm pretty new to Stillmans too and you will find everyone here supportive and caring. I had also done Atkins for a long time, but needed a jumpstart as I was letting bad habits creep back in and the weight creep back up. I started June 14 and went from 161 to 148. ![]() Thirteen pounds in sixteen days is nothing to complain about. Especially since I had two pretty big party days in there! i just had to make sure to hop right back on plan. I'm looking forward to another month sticking to plan with all you beauties. Have a happy day!

Hi Everyone!
Well Yesterday I celebrated 4 weeks of dieting
and I am down 22 lbs!I have decided to add in one low carb tortilla each day. I have done this for 3 days now, and lost about .5-1 pound per day. I think it helps keep me regular... ![]() I have never had this much momentum in a diet. I feel like I will be at goal in no time! Jillbean! You will have great success with this diet- it definitely gets easier after the first week. I am a former atkins-girl as well, but the fatty intake always bothered me. Just stick with it, and if you fall off, get right back on- you'll be great! Also, drink all of your water! It is a bunch, but it really makes a difference.cskies I am excited to have a brand new month too! It is very encouraging! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Fiber
Jillibean, Fiber Choice makes a sugar free fiber supplement. I don't think it could hurt, but others might have more experience.

Hi Everyone -
I've been keeping an eye on your thread for several weeks - congrats on all of your success. I'd like to learn a little more about Stillman's - can some of you fill me in on the different books and which versions you favor and why? I see the plans listed but like reading the books as well. Thanks, -Tink |

I worked 3rd shift last night, so I didnt weigh in today..also been having dreams and lots of thoughts if eating things I havent in over 4 months, im really missing my favorite foods..
I never-ever thought of low carb diet as "low" protein since its about 35-45% protein Min... UPS truck brought our WII fit I ordered thru Ebay which I paid out the a** for, especially since Target has it on sale for $89.99 This week ..........I entered my data and that was so depressing, I didnt do anything else YET |

I was always under the assumption that we were allowed 1/2 cup per day but the QWL doesn't say on the sticky that is on the board...maybe someone with the book can answer your question better....
on the 14 day shape up the thread sticky says: CHEESE You may have up to a half cup of certain cheeses, which are relatively low in fat and high in protein: COTTAGE CHEESE, POT STYLE COTTAGE CHEESE FARMERS CHEESE When selecting your cheese keep in mind the calorie content for a half a cup serving and aim for the one that are between 80-95 calories for a half of a cup. The exception is for Farmer’s Cheese which is a compressed bar, read the label and use your judgment again aim for a serving size that is about 80-95 calories. |

Thanks Melly - I've read those links but was trying to figure out which book to order first - and if there was a version that was recommended since there seems to be many printings. I think I'm going to order the Quick Weight Loss Diet as that seems to be the main one - unless someone else comes in with another opinion. I think I'm going to give this woe a go after the holiday Friday.
Have a good night everyone - -Tink |

Another fun day!!
I am still trying to decide what I want to do with my weight. I was looking at Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (1992) and it even says my weight should be between 116 to 135..that is for someone 5"5 to 5"6, with medium frame. So I am just at the edge of his weight range. I am pretty sure I want to get to about 125 and be a solid size 6. I can fit into some things just fine and others...well not so pretty!! Right now I am eating atkins induction so will have to decide when I am ready to hit stillmans again.Hope everyone has a great day!! It is Wednesday, right?? |
