I have a few questions if ya'll can help!

1. Can I drink crystal light? - yes, in addition to eight 10 oz glasses of water per day. One does not replace the other.

2. Can I eat sugar free jello? - tough one. I would say yes, but I may be wrong.

3. Can I put American cheese on my hamburger? I wouldn't. I wouldn't eat hamburger either unless it is very lean hamburger.

4. Can you put your meat on the grill? I got confused because it only says broil, boil. Yes - in fact that's a very good SM cooking method as you wont be cooking in grease, and the grease from the meat falls down through the grill.

5. What is pot cheese? - Cottage Cheese is the closest we get to it here, to my understanding.

6. Can I eat the Oscar meyer lunch meat? It is packaged and on the package it says shaved deli meat. - I wouldn't.

7. What is a mineral tab? I think it's a multi-vitamin.

8. Can I use lemon juice when cooking my tilapia? I think that would count as a "common seasoning" which should be allowed

Are you able to drink protein shakes? i.e. the atkins advantage shakes? How many calories are we suppose to consume on Stillman's? I dont want to lose my hair and want to make sure i eat enough protein and calories... I dont like cottage cheese.

No to the shakes. What do you like/not like to eat? Stillman's can be wayyyy low calorie, it is also very lean protein and any fats that you do use are fat free. Not too much in the way of condiments either. Very boring and not really easy to stick to for a first timer. I would suggest you pick a plan, get the book and read it and go from there. Not sure how much you have to lose etc. but anything will work, if you work the plan.

Gungadinn....Nice to see you again...

Steph...theres not many choices of what to eat on Stillmans...I have eatten sirloin burgers on Stilmans...I used the george foreman and its lean meat...
NO american cheese unless you find some FATFREE cheese..that wasnt around when Stilman wrote his book...
sugar free jello YES
There is enough protein on Stilmans, u dont need protein shakes...

Basically this is what people eat during Stillmans, BUT you saw whats allowed

eggs, chicken, fish, tuna, cottage cheese.....
You WILL lose your appetite really fast, because of STRONG ketosis

I am so frustruated with myself and feel so disgusting and am ready to do something about it and stick to it!!!!

I have a few questions if ya'll can help!

1. Can I drink crystal light? - yes, in addition to eight 10 oz glasses of water per day. One does not replace the other. Dr. Stillman says one does replace the other in his book.

2. Can I eat sugar free jello? - tough one. I would say yes, but I may be wrong. Yes, used sparingly.

3. Can I put American cheese on my hamburger? I wouldn't. I wouldn't eat hamburger either unless it is very lean hamburger. No American cheese. I choose the 96% lean hamburger at the store. It is a lot more expensive, but in a 4 oz burger I get less than a teaspoon of fat drippings on the George Grill!

[color=blue]

6. Can I eat the Oscar meyer lunch meat? It is packaged and on the package it says shaved deli meat. - I wouldn't. Lunchmeats generally have higher sodium content, although there are many available that extremely lean. Check the labels for carbs, sodium, and sugar.

7. What is a mineral tab? I think it's a multi-vitamin.

8. Can I use lemon juice when cooking my tilapia? I think that would count as a "common seasoning" which should be allowed No lemon on this plan.
