Hi All!

I thought I already posted but must have just previewed and thought I had. I'd like to join the Stillman's challenge this month. I lost a good bit on Stillman's when I started the latest weight reduction in Jan and Feb '07 so I thought I'd try going full tilt Stillman's as long as I can this time. I'm looking to lose 8 pounds at least this month and get to 220...close to the century mark for me in terms of loss...so here is another Stillmanite right here!

i'm back!

Hi everyone,

Back again! I have been away for a while - lack of internet access and motivation! still managed to shed some weight which is good. Have quite a long way to go - and my wedding is in 5 months!

First dress measurements in a few months - final ones in 4.5 months before any of the lace is cut (yey) gives me maximum time

In the last week since getting re-focused with 1.5hrs / day at the gym and stillmans I have lost 10 pounds - very happy!

I will be hopefully checking in daily. Everyone is doing so well - keep it up

I have so many events this week, and I don't want to beat myself up over it.... 2 parties, 2 movie dates, skydiving, dance lessons with the girls and then out on the town, also the last week of work before summer vacation... I am going to get back to eating on plan later, but I am going to exercise everyday!

I've talked with a couple gals from work, and we've decided to get together over the summer break and run the track and the stairs at the high school. Our school doesn't have bleachers being only a middle school. Also, one of my friends always goes to spin classes with his friend, and I may meet up with them. Women join free, so maybe I'll just sign up for the summer to start (it is a 20 minute drive).

everyone!!!!

another strange work schedule for me this week...I just got home from a 12 hour shift over night...and I gotta be at my other job by 1230pm thats maybe 3 hours of sleep...tomorrow doesnt look much better...

I did not feel like eating much yesterday...I planned a breakfast, but then didnt want it...later I ended up eating 2 steaks that I grilled....and drank a protein drink during the night while I was working..

Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying some nice weather!

Good morning everyone!

I actually made it through day one of Stillman's with no cheats. I can do this. I'm 227 this morning but I'm not claiming it just yet. You guys know how that goes. I weigh every morning at the same time, dressed the same way. It helps keep me honest. It can bother me a bit if I'm good and the scale goes up but I don't let it get to me too much. In any case I know if I follow this woe right there's no chance I won't lose this month...not at my present state of corpulence that is. I understand it's a lot harder once you're near goal which is pretty far off for this here lady.

Y'all keep up the good works. We all can do this. Let's make this a great month for weight loss!

TOM is here and i feel bloated and a bit blah. why did i get on the scale last nite ( at nite of all time) and weigh ... 225. i know it was a combo of things, but it still inspired me to get back to Stillmans for awhile. i am just sooo hungry when on TOM so i may keep my fat high til he leaves then kick it into high gear with Stillman's.

have a good day all

My wedding is in 5.5 months too! I am still in early planning stages, and am giving myself as much time as possible before getting close to a wedding dress boutique. I'm starting Stillman's today, and I'm excited. I hope it works as well for me as it has for you all.

Good Afternoon, everyone. I have been on this site for a few months, but haven't posted much. I have some questions I would like someone knowedgable to answer for me please.

I started reading the stillman's info a while back. (I was doing atkins and it was no longer working for me.) I lost 50 lbs on kimkins but have regained 20 since September. It seems to me that stillman's QWL and kimkins are pretty much the same. Can someone give an opinion on that and let me know what you think of the comparison.

Also, it states the it should only be done for 14 days as it is very restrictive. Has anyone done QWL for any longer period of time and if so, what were the results and problems.

TIA.

LA LINDA

everyone! So glad you've all joined us.

My doctor gave me the clear to exercise today. He told me nothing bouncy and no squats or jerky movements. So, I am thinking some T-Tapp and walking for this week. I was going to start yesterday, but I knew I should wait for the clearance.

Hey Hoops...

Can you give me a little of your experience on T-tapps? I looked online, it looks awesome and something I've never seen before, but I wanted your thoughts?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

LaRon~ When I did T-Tapp along with Stillman's QWL starting in August 2006, the T-Tapp really helped my lose inches even when I didn't lose as many pounds.

I was looking for something without the impact, because in March of 2006 I was involved in a car wreck that did a number on my back (I was just at the chiro today and go 3 times a week because I went a short time and stopped and now I am religiously going). I can't say enough good about T-Tapp. It is definitely what I am going to combine with walking, since the chiro approved me for low impact only.

Check out the T-Tapp site for different workouts, try before you buy downloads, her book, the message boards, the success stories, and so much more. The best dvd is the basic workout plus. After you buy you can purchase the tempo arms dvd, which is my favorite.

Before you start T-Tapp, measure all over. Even though the scale may not move due to muscle building, the inches WILL be dropping.

Evening...had a good day...got my 6 miles on the treadmill done and ate on plan!!

We had clouds all day but only got the hot and humid weather...no storms near me...could have some tonight though.

onefitgal...hope your husband gets the place he put a bid in on!! it must be hard on him to be so far from you and trying to get a place that you will like too!!

LaRon...are you having sunshine where you are? hope you are having a great start to your day!!

Hoops!! yay...you get the clearance to exercise!! Just take it easy!! Spin classes sound like alot of workout for you right now... have you done them before?? slatman is our inside man on the spinning classes!!

Shari...good luck with your new challenge...you can do it!!

amyintx...was it a pool day for you and the kids?? and never...never...get on the scale at night...that is a scary thought!!

KSS...wow...I can barely remeber what 18 was like...oh wait...it was the best time of my life!! lol...hope your oldest baby had a great day...and her mom too!!

DEBI...you totally work too hard and too many weird hours...how do you know if you are coming or going?? lol Steak is good!! I could live on steak...wait..I almost already do!!

Meg056 Be sure and join in often!! Glad to see you here!!

nat006...welcome back...you are jumping in head first...and I am not talking marriage here...but how exciting for you!! great job on getting stillman's to work for you!!

slatman...sometimes you can just have an off day for no reason whatsoever...but since you rarely have that happen it makes you wonder wth when it does happen...you are still on top of your game!! WTG!

katemajoie.....wow another soon to be married woman!! Have fun picking out a gorgeous dress when you are ready!!

la linda...I don't know anything about kimkins so can't really give you an answer on that question. I have heard that some people have stayed on QWL longer and are still around to tell it! I like to do 10 days on and 2 days off and that is what has worked the best for me. But on the 2 days off I eat mostly brocolli and cabbage and strawberries and blueberries with my meat.

Jessie...how is the running going for you??

Magickal...where have you gone too?? maybe out fishing?!! miss your smiling face~~

Diana...hope atkins is working for you!! miss you here too!!

I know I have missed a load of people...get in here and give us the low down to what you are doing this month...even if it isn't stillmans!!

I did decide today that since I am having to fight for every pound these days I should be a bit more accurate with my food measurements...and I can honestly tell you that 1/2 cup of cottage cheese is sure alot less than I was eating...I need to be more aware of that one for sure!!

Good Morning everyone,
Yesterday I ate on plan. Today is going to be day 2...I seem to be having a problem getting to the third day. I need to remind myself how much easier this is when you hit ketosis. I have no appetite or cravings when I get there...so 2 more days...

Plan is eggs, fish and turkey today...and no coffee..
My goal for this month is 10 pounds. I know if I stick to plan I can do that no problem...
How is everyone else doing today???

Good Morning ladies and gent!

I have completed day two of legal Stillman eating. I am 227 today so that's the right direction. This diet is very restrictive because it's basically just protein but it sure does work for me. The longest I've ever stayed on it without a break is about three weeks. I'm going for as long as I can manage without a break and when I do break it will be to eat some veggies,,,not bad carbs. I do love my veggies ever so much but I must say that I can eat a good bit and be satiated on Stillman's. I eat about 6 times a day and still lose weight. It drives my hubby crazy. He can't understand how I can eat 'more' (as he sees it) and still lose weight. Actually I am eating less in terms of calories about 1200-1500 a day. Some days I have to force myself to eat up to my self-imposed minimum...which is 1200 cal...but usually not as I am a natural born hungry girl. Glad to be amongst a wonderful band of Stillmanites and look forward to getting to know you all better.

Meg
