Good Morning everyone!
Haven't been able to walk or exercise at all this week. It has been raining a lot, a typhoon just missed us so couldn't go walking. My baby is teething or something...nose running, fever... so she has been clingy and I haven't been able to pull away from her long enough to jump on the treadmill. So it hasn't been an active week for me. I only lost 1.5 pounds of the 3 that I put on over the weekend. I know my problem is I haven't been drinking enough water at all. It will go soon enough. I'm hoping to get to 140 by 6/21, my baby's first bday and the weight that I started off pregnant. I know I can do it, 17 pounds, wow, but doable. Quitting the HWC will probably help too. Gotta run, have a hula class ( I teach japanese moms.....they are SOOO much fun!!).. HAVE A BLESSED DAY EVERYONE!! |

Morning Everyone!
Ahh Meek!! I'm sorry to hear about your car! Are you alright!!I know you can do this, you've got your wedding coming up soon and I know you want to be down some lbs! Let that be your prize and stick to this. Something to think about, Stillman say's that if we eat sugar, even a spoonful of ice cream that will set us back 3 days. I know that's for sure because I ate some sweet stuff on Monday, after going back on plan Tues, I'm finally showing a loss. I'm not where I was last week, but I will get there by the weekend or tomorrow. I keep trying to remember that myself. We're here for you, you can do this!!! Hi Denise, up early and starting the day! That's great!! I bet you look good too, and you should with all that you've accomplished! I'm so happy for you!! ![]() Hi Magickal, I hope you're doing well! We miss you here!!!Hi LaRon, OMG! I'm so glad that typhoon missed you! Wow, that sounds scary! I pray you will all be safe! Hula, that sounds like fun!! My nephew is taking classes too. His dad is 1/2 Hawaiian and here in AZ he knows some Hawaiians who teach Hula and also put on some shows. My nephew is 11 and I guess he really likes it. Hi Meeha, I'm just doing the QWL until I get under 200, then I may go back to Atkins or do the 14 day. I'm not sure yet. Sorry! ![]() Hi Slatman, how about this weather we're having!!! Isn't it fantastic!! Makes biking fun at this time of year!! Where abouts in Tucson are you at. I used to go there as a kid to visit relatives. I've stayed at the Congress Hotel one time. I loved it! Hi to Everyone else I missed!! |

![]() I remember you from when I first joined LC friends as you and I were living in the same area at the time. You were one of the people who inspired me the most. I used to weigh 234 went down to 171...and now I've gained back some weight too. I believe in you and know you can do this..you've done it before and will do it again. Believe in yourself..and know that you are not alone in this. We all have lost and gained weight...that's the way of battle. Know that we're all here for you and rooting you on!!! Either way, you're a beautiful person and will make a beautiful bride!! Congratulations on the engagement!! Magickal~ Glad to see you're feeling a little bit better. Do you eat light snacks throughout the day? The most I've ever lost was doing QWL where I ate snacks throughout the day..lost 6lbs overnight!! And I wasn't carbed up a lot as I was doing Atkins prior to that. HTH!! ![]() Amy~ you're doing great with the weightloss!! Keep it up!! Diana~I'm with you!! Back on track as well and not letting anything get in my way Slatman~your workout is encouraging..I know that if you can do all you do in 1 day, surely I can do my little 2 miles on the treadmill... You're amazing!!Cskies~the above applies to you as well..glad to 'see' you today!! ![]() KSS~Hope you're ok...still praying for you and your family. Hello to all others...Onefitgal, Moretta, Debi, Denise, LaRon (glad you're safe), Meeha and any one I've missed!! Last edited by shari : 05-15-2008 at 10:23 AM. |

ok so overall I have been doing pretty good staying away from the scale and only weighing in on Monday morning but today I snuck on...not sure why but I did and I am down 3 pounds from Monday. Not sure how or why since TOM is looming but has yet to show up. But I'll take it. That makes 25 pounds lost total since 4/1

Got 5 miles done on the treadmill tonight...
Trying to get things done so that I can leave after work tomorrow. Going to stay with college daughter and attend her graduation Saturday morning and then her boyfriend's graduation Saturday afternoon....the parents are meeting and then we are going to dinner Saturday night....and then Sunday I have a Memorial/burial service in the afternoon for a great uncle and 3 different high school graduation after parties that I can pop in on...hope the weather holds out for everything!! Made a roastbeef salad thing for some sandwiches for relatives on Sunday and cookies to take to college daughter graduation reception...she ordered sandwiches from subway and a cake but was afraid she didn't get enough stuff and I make monster size chocolate chunk cookies that are really good so I got 3 dozen done and that should fill in her spot for those who don't want cake!! Geeez...the things I do that I would rather not!! Believe me ...the smell of cookies in here is killing me!! Had a good day and we probably spent at least 2 to 3 hours outside. I am trying to get summer kids and projects lined up...I could fill a couple of daycares with kids (licensed childcare are only allowed 10 kids) if I had room for them all!! We are too small of town for any kind of center so the only choices parents have is home daycare or one of their relatives! There are good years and lean years...the last 3 years have been better than good years for enough kids to go around!! Hope everyone had a good day!! Last edited by cskies : 05-15-2008 at 07:44 PM. |

Hi Everyone!
Looks like some scales are moving again! Congrads everyone! I am still have to lose another 1 1/2 pounds to get to where I was last week, boy am I paying for the 2 day cheat. I really should have kept it to a 2 hour refeed. Oh well, live and learn! Diana, I was born and raised in Hawaii, but I am half Portuguese, half Filipino. My husband is from the east coast and is Puerto Rican. So my kids are all kinds of mixed up nationalities! Anyway..........I was teaching a lot of little japanese kids (ages 1-3) music and dance, that is how some of them learn english...songs such as head, shoulders, knees and toes etc. So anyhow, the Mom's asked for me to teach hula so now I am teaching them and also have another hula class for the kids too. They really enjoy it and we have so much fun. They are really precious people. Today is Friday here and my goal is to get over the weekend, hopefully without a refeed or cheat. If I can do this, then I will give myself a refeed next weekend. Aloha........... |

Hello All,
I've enjoyed reading all your posts this week, it's kept me motivated and inspired. My scale says 207 this week so I guess that's 4 lbs. down and I am happy for that. I'll try to be better at posting more often....Talking about the chunk choc. chip cookies, yesterday at work was someone's birthday and they brought in this beautiful red velvet cake with the cream cheese frosting!! It was near the end of the meeting so I skipped the pleasantries other than to wish the gal a quick happy birthday, and whizzed back to my office and ate some turkey bacon I had packed for lunch. The craving passed pretty quick. Slatman, I know what those luncheon dinners are like, sometimes we get lucky and people will bring a summer sausage / cheese tray and that is easier to try to eat on instead of all the nachos, etc. While technically summer sausage or hard cheese aren't on the diet, it is still meat and the cheese and will stave off other temptations like the carbs and sugars that are ususally around. Have a great day all!!!! Thanks for being a part of this all, together we can do it!!! Take care, Jane |
