Diana....yes I have a camper that is kept at a campground about 60 miles away...its only open 6 months a year(because of our crappy weather) and lets say it was a miserable weather WET/COLD weekend...my daughter and I only went, we cleaned it up and went to super Walmart to stock it up...I will most likely be going every weekend...

This was the first time in about a month I didnt lose weight over the weekend...not sure why, I ate clean.. I took my protein powder with me, and some ground meat..Maybe my calories were just tooooo low...I was busy cleaning LOL

This morning my sons eggo waffle smelled so good, I wanted one badly....this has been my first real temptation in awhile....

have a good day

Happy Monday everyone:

Menu:

1 hb egg
basa fillets
maybe shrimp tonight

I weighed myself after two days on Stillman and the scale did not move Maybe the calories are way to low. I was losing on Atkins, but wanted a quick loss so I turned to Stillman's. My last loss was on Friday, so maybe my body is losing the inches, because I know the scale doesn't always move daily, it would be nice though if it did.

I'm a scalaholic. I always weigh myself first thing in the morning. I really should do it once a week, but I like to see what's happening with my body from day to day.

That is my update in a nutshell for a Monday morning.

Well have a wonderful Monday everyone.

Debi and Moretta you raised an interesting question that I never even thought about.

So it's possible that if we do not lose it's because we're not eating enough calories?

I was wondering also about too much protein turning into glucose. How does eating protein affect us?

Just wondering??

All true..

calories need to be 0-300 less than base to lose.. over 300 and it's starvation mode... you can go less for a couple days and then refeed but going to long will stall you for sure

Protein will turn to glycocen which is fine the quantity you'd have to eat to store instead of just a little muscle load is more than any of us eat

LOL... say your daily calorie requirement (basal metabolic + exercise + activity) is 2400 calories... your "best" daily fitday number would be about 2100

If you are losing you are in the proper range.. if your stalling you need to get a little more exact in your intake

The more you lower calories below the 2100 in this example the more "refeeds" you would need.. if you stay in the 0-300 range "refeeds" should not be necessary

Of course we are all different and maybe I lose best at a 200 per day calorie deficit and you at 400 a day something each of us has to tweak... since your trying to break through 200 this may be your answer

Also, my preferred method to create a deficit without changing intake is to up exercise a bit... I like my food too much to lower intake

For me it could be Denise, because I drink the flavored kind and not the regular. And since that is all I have in the house, I'm just going to stop drinking it, to see what happens.
I was going to look up the brand of coffee in the internet to see if they contain any hidden sugars.

Diana...that could cause a stall I guess..let us know what you find out!! I just drink it black with some equal...I know the equal can stall some people but it hasn't done anything to stall me...I don't think it has anyways!!

Slatman: Thanks for the explanation. I just hear that some people can actually lose weight at 500-600 calories per day.

Please correct me if I am incorrect. Does refeed mean that I go back to in my case Atkins/PPLP for a day or two? This is what I gather from reading other posts of refeed. Sorry new to all of this.

I drink plain filtered water.

Anybody eat shrimp while on Stillmans. Is is safe? I inputted shrimp into Fitday and it has carbs. Any ideas/suggestions.

Be back later.

Monday morning weigh in (actually surprised I was able to kick the scale addiction)... down 4 pounds this week. I was hoping for 5 pounds but I'll take it. That is a total of 21 pounds since 4/1. Looking forward to the next 20.
Been having trouble getting my water in...gotta work on that

Shrimp = 1-2 gram of carb per CUP

Does refeed mean that I go back to in my case Atkins/PPLP for a day or two? yes... or just one meal

I just hear that some people can actually lose weight at 500-600 calories per day.
Yes... you will for awhile... then you will start losing muscle, metabolism, and hair and your loss will stop... not a good time

Anything less than 1,200 calories a day is not a wise choice. At all.
