Hello Everyone!
Weekend went pretty well other than spending a lot of time at hospital with a friend who has bone marrow cancer, depressing and sad but life's reality is that you keep fighthing. He was able to go home yesterday with a new regimine (sp?) of chemo and steroids so we're hopeful that he will be with us a while longer. He's fought this horrible disease for 5 years now....My friend's never ending spirit and determination gives me courage to keep fighting this weight thing head on.

Sorry to interrupt. Could I ask a question?

I just started stillmans today... (I'm doing the all meat option).. and I'm wondering how long I can safely stay on it? I have about 100 pounds to lose... can I stay on it the whole time? I'm guess it it would take me 4-6 months? is it ok to do nothing but protein for that long?

to answe ur question its wat i do i did try to have a refeed day but didnt work for me made want to binge so i just stick with protein , and when u want to re add veggies do it real slow with like half cup of brocolli 2 times a day with a meal slowly addin in green veggies is a better way to readd into induction atkins, but all i do i protiien and i have the best results when i do take a multi and mineral vitamin

Magickal1, how long have you been doing stillmans for, and how much have you lost? I've really let my eating get out of control... and I have NO summer clothes that fit! I really don't want to have to go buy more.. would rather lose to get into the pretty ones I alreay own.. I just don't know how much to expect to lose..

Hi Everyone...

Sorry been missing for a bit. Been busy w/girl scout season end of the year parties, baseball games etc. I also wasn't on plan the last couple of days. I gained about 5 of the 8 pounds that I had lost. Very disappointing. I have exactly 1 month from today my baby turns 1 and I want to at least be at the starting weight that I was when I got pregnant. So....I have to lose 20 pounds...not sure if it is reachable, but I'm gonna try.

I was really upset at myself for falling off the stillman wagon, but all I can do is get back up and start today again at this point.

Hope everyone is doing well........one day at a time......

Hi! Denise, good for you on staying on Stillmans! I did too!!
Except, I'm drinking some coffee with a little cream in it. I was craving coffee!

I've got my dr's appointment this Thursday, and I was thinking about fasting until the time so I can get my blood work done right after. Only thing it's at 1:45 pm. I wonder if I can hold out that long.
I guess I'll find out!

Hi LaRon, I know how hard this is to do. I've had my upsets as well, but it's so easy to lose what you've gained. Don't worry, just go back and start up again. Make sure you eat enough so you don't get cravings.

Diana!I was wondering if you had the doctor's appointment yet or not... hope you can hold out until after 1:45..pretty sure you can!! Yeah...I haven't done strict stillmans since I got down to the 140's and then I wonder why the weight isn't coming off anymore!! So I am getting my game on and working stillmans so the weight can get lost!! lol I think I jinxed myself when I set a goal...should have just kept looking ahead and grabbing the numbers as they disappeared off the scale!!

I like my coffee too and I can do it without cream but I understand your wanting some in your coffee...it tastes so good that way!!

Magickal...so glad you didn't go off stillmans and pushed through!! Good for you! It is so hard some times and especially when you don't feel good but you would have felt even worse if you had gone off and gained!! The food only tastes good for a moment but the weight loss feels good all the time!!

Denise, you know, when I started exercising, I thought the weight was going to come off faster. But it's not. I have stayed on plan really good during the week and exercised, but it seems like nothing is happening.

Although, I am able to fit into my size 18 jeans pretty good. They are tad bit snug, but wearable. I have 3 pair of jeans that are the same style. 1 would fit great, but the other 2 for some reason didn't fit me like the other. I tried all three of them on Sunday and they all 3 fit now!

I'm going to keep on going on some type of lc, but it's getting harder for me to do Stillmans.

Diana...I don't know that the exercising helps with a much faster weight loss (although I am sure it does help!) but I will have to say that for me the exercise helped firm up what weight I did lose and while the scale might not always tell me what I want to hear the measurements made up the difference!! I feel healthy and I feel good in my clothes!! Isn't great when your clothes fit and you look good in them!!

I guess thats the main point of exercising! With the way my jeans feel, maybe the results from exercising!

That's what I needed to know and hear Denise! Thanks!!

Hi everyone! Thank you for the words of encouragement, you are the best! I am determined not to cheat until I eat a piece of my daughters 1 year old bday cake on 6/21.

I too, am guilty of coffee, but w/a little HWC. Cannot shake it at all! But I have lost before on it so I think we are ok??? Tried drinking every kind of tea under the sun but it just doesn't do, not in the morning anyway. I can hang w/the tea at night but coffee in the morning is just perfect.

Everyone have a great evening!

Good morning,

Quick post..got to get the kiddies ready for school...to want to say nd I'm still here, holding on to eating just lc. Trying to 'psych' myself into doing stillmans again soon. Like you, Denise, I see a goal in mind...and want to get there...

Diana, what a beautiful avitar..you're one pretty lady I have to say, I don't LOVE to exercise yet, but after being on this journey for many years, I have been at a certain weight both, with exercising and not. I was able to fit into a size 12 when I exercised and was still wearing a 14 when I didn't. So for me, I doesn't make me lose faster but I does take off inches and make my clothes fit better...as long as I keep carbs low. That motivates me. Plus, it does relieve stress.

Gotta go, will check back later. Have a good day everyone!!

Morning!! Thought I would check in real quick...half way done with my morning 3 miles!! Feeling good in my size 8 jeans...I do have a pair of 6's that fit but will wait to wear them until hopefully next week...I can fit into dockers and other pants/slacks size 6 just fine but the jeans must be a bit not forgiving on the stretch factor!!

Saw the scale take a bit of a dive downward!!

B- 2 hard boiled eggs
L- last of the left over steak
D- hamburger pattie

Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!

For us it is the last day of school here! Yikes!!
