Jane, I love mixed nuts...I think portion control would be ok with them...although they are not stillman approved...if you are doing a bit of atkins though...no problem!! I eat nuts when I am doing a bit of atkins...

Golden Corral may run you about $11-13 a person. On weekends I think the prices are higher, maybe $9.99 for the meal, then I think you pay for your drink which can be about $2. They used to give free tea, water, or coffee with the buffet but I think that has changed. Of course when you add it all up, if you go to a regular restruant you'll pay that much anyway by the time you're done, and you won't be able to pick and choose what you want to eat.

I hope it will be a good experience for you, the one here is always exceptionally clean and the service is good, and the only things I ever steered away from, my general rule when eating out, is the salads sometimes, like a tuna salad, etc. if it looks like it's been sitting out awhile.

Hello Everyone!

So glad it's Friday!!!

Denise, I can vouche for the Golden Corral! I love that place, it's an Atkin/Stillman friendly place! They serve good quality food there, like a regular restaurant. They make steaks to your liking, you have roasted chicken, fish and salads.
You'll do fine!!

I agree with Jane about the stuff with mayo! I don't think I would take a chance, lol.

Jane good for you on passing up the cake!! And way to go on the lbs down!!! That's great!

I'm another person who doesn't like crowds, but only if it's my house!

Hi makickal! I hope you're doing well and feeling better now. Can't wait for you to start your losing trend again!! I always waited to see how much you were going to lose! I know it will happen!!

Hi Mavis, I'm rooting for you too!! You can do it!!

Hi Crohnie, hang in there!! I hope you get some time to breath soon!!

Talk to Everyone else later!!

Magickal- AWESOME GIRL!

CSKIES - you'll do just fine. Use a cute outfit for the day ceremony and then just throw on a blazer for the night one. That would work perfect and you don't have to change!

Ok, I couldn't wait, I did a little refeed last night (friday) ate Life cereal for 2 hours. So I will go back on plan today and see if there is a difference from a 2 hour refeed and my 2 day cheat from last week. I gained a pound last night. So I'm back up to 158, hopefully I will go back down soon.

Have a relaxing weekend everyone! Stay focused!

LaRon

Good morning everyone. I did try some of the mixed nuts yesterday evening, and the scale is the same this morning, so I guess I can have them in moderation. Usually if I eat something I'm not supposed to I can tell right away and the scale will immediately go up 3 lbs. The salt isn't good for me though so another reason for a bit at a time.

I think I'll save them for the weekends as the weekends are always the hardest for me. Even though I try to keep busy it just seems I'm hungrier somehow....and that's when I tend to go back to old habits and overeat.

So it will be good to know I can have a treat of sorts on the weekend without throwing the diet off.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!!

good morning,

ok..gotta get serious..been doing atkins and only maintaining..ready to get some weight off. got to mentally prepare myself for strict stillman's beginning today!! will weigh myself in a few to get the most updated number...although TOM is coming...

debi~sorry to hear about your son..hope he gets better soon..sounds like he's miserable now which i know mentally for you is a lot!! congrats on your loss.

lavsreal...you've come to the right place for support!!

congrats magickal on your loss!! WTG question, when you eat tuna..do you eat it out of the can plain or do you put some sort of condiment on it? i like tuna but used to only eating it with mayo.

lovejohn~i just had my weakness, almonds..and my favorite is lime & chili flavored. they stall me as well but really help when i'm in a crunch and need something quick as a snack to tie me over. they also stall me though

mavis!! hope you're doing well.

diana. hope you'e doing ok too.

cskies~hope everything went well for you yesterday. i know you looked great with whatever you wore.

chronie~congrats on the weightloss. hope work gets better for you.

ok..going to exercise..hopefully this will keep some of the bloating away. ughh..pre-tom....

wcbl..have a good day everyone!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Debi, I had poison oak on my legs one time it wasn't fun at all! I can't imagine how it would feel on the face. I hope he gets to feeling better soon.
Yes and 1/2 lb is wonderful!!! You're doing great!!

Hi Magickal, how have you been feeling lately? I hope you're doing well. I bought me some tilapia fish for next week, and I can't wait because I need to start losing. I think the fish helps because it's lean and filling.
So that dinner for the next few nights!
I'm having tuna for lunch too during the week!
Let's get some lbs down!!

Hi Denise, I hope the graduations went well. I bet you looked wonderful too!! Enjoy yourself and know that you've done well and can let loose for the weekend!! Can't wait to hear how it all went!!!

Hi Shari, I'm with you on the getting serious!! I'm so close to onederland that every weekend it's always something. But I did pretty well this weekend with the nieces and nephews over. I just over indulged in too much lc sf ice cream. I ate mostly Atkins too.
I've got my food for the week and I'm determined to get it done!!! I know you are too!!

Hi lavsreal! You're on the right track!! I know you'll be successful on Stillmans. 15 lbs will be a breeze if you eat on plan!! I know you can do it!!!

Hi Jane, I'm another nut person. I really like them, but the salt does me in, so I may have to buy the natural mixed nuts instead. At least you didn't see any lbs so that's great and you know you can have them! I hope you see some lossed this week!!!

Hi Onefit! Graduations for you too! I hope you have fun despite all the temptation that may surround you. I'm sure you did well! Keep plugging along!!!

Hi LaRon, hope you're doing well today and that your refeed helped to get some lbs down!!

Hi Mavis, I hope you're having a great day!! Hope you're down some lbs too!!!

Hi to Everyone else who is not here yet!!!

Love Ya!

Quick hello!!

Yesterday went great...woke up not feeling like getting dressed up though...tried on about 5 outfits and finally decided to wear what I was going to wear in the first place!! lol It was very hot and very sunny and the daughters graduation was outside in the college football stadium!!

Skipped going to the boyfriend's graduation but did go to his reception and then out to Golden Corral with the parents...and they paid even though I argued so that was very nice of them!!

And you were right Golden Corral offered alot of wonderful stillman/aktins options!! I made a nice salad and had brocolli and cauliflower and green beans with tilapia and a grilled steak!! It was quite nice!! I didn't even go look at the bread and dessert bar...the parents didn't say anything but I don't think they thought I ate my money's worth..if you know what I mean!! It was fun and I think the boyfriend has nice parents!

Spent the morning trying to get my vegetables planted and still have a ways to go but I need to get ready for the memorial/burial service! It is already in the 80's so it is going to be a hot and sunny afternoon in the cemetary and I already know there isn't much shade!!

My cat was glad to see me instead of being mad at me when I got home last night!

Oh I forgot to tell you...we ate ar Montana Mike's(steak house) Friday night and when we went to leave my daughter had left the lights to my car on and the battery was dead!! One of the employees there jumped started my car but we couldn't get the hood to stay down....it was quite an adventure getting back to her apartment and we didn't want to stop the car from running as we were trying to get the battery recharged!! lol My son did get some coolant the next day...there is a leak in it and managed to get the hood closed but I don't know if it will ever open again!! I have a 1995 Buick Century that I just turned over 100,000 miles on!! And I am going to drive it until it dies!! So I was almost excited thinking I was going to get a different car but nope ...it is back and running as good as a car that old can!!

Will come back tonight and say hello's and update...so glad that everyone is having a good weekend and I am in agreement with getting back to basics with Stillman's...starting...well, starting right now!!

It's been a crazy weekend for sure!

Funeral today well it was actually a memorial service and it went well, it was small but that was expected. There was a luncheon after but I just drank some ice tea.

I went to just 1 after high school graduation function when I got back to town. It was nice to see a former daycare kid glad to see me after all these years!

I got 1 mile done on the treadmill and plan to go walk another 2 before heading to bed.

Hope everyone had a good weekend....tomorrow is Monday...let's all gear up for a great week of losses!!

magickal~ make sure you are eating enough calories. i stall when
