I got better at dinner time! I had some strip steak and chicken breast strips on a bed of spring mix lettuce, with some lemon juice squirted on top.
With a little bit of guacamole.
Oh it was good! Cures what ails ya!!!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for all the great "welcomes". Well, after my first day, I'm down 1 1/2 pounds. I know, I know, shouldn't be weighing myself everyday but it is a hard habit to break for me but I'm going to work on it. This was my menu yesterday:

B- Tea w/2 splendas
chicken

L - chicken

D - 2 hamburger patties
tea w/2 splendas

Also ran/walked 2 miles on the threadmill.

Question: How long should a refeed be? One day, one meal, all day???

I am sure feening my coffee w/HWC. Has anyone used heavy whipping cream on stillman's w/success?

I know I can get this done. I am so DONE with the losing 5 pounds during the week then gaining it back on the weekends eating w/the family. I know I can do this!!!

Good Job everyone, thanks again for the inspiration!

Hi LaRon! That is great!!! Good for you on the lbs down!!

When I first did Stillmans, I did use hc and a flavored splenda packet and lost weight, but I got hooked on the coffee and kept dranking it that I think I sabotaged my weight loss. So just becareful. If yo don't lose, then I would stop using it.

hello... how is everyone doing? I have been so busy lately that I havn't gotten on line too much. Looks like everyone is still going strong. I have managed to stick to my commitment to only weigh in on Mondays. Today I was down 2 more pounds. That is a total of 17 pounds in about a month. I had a rough couple weeks with no loss.... first week was because of that trip we took... second week was because of TOM so I was happy to see the scale moving again. I am going to stick with more checken tis week and less red meat... I seem to lose better that way... we will see. I am setting a goal of 5 pounds for this week. I am also planning to start walking 3-5 miles a day... so far I have not been exercising... so hopefully that will help. Wish me luck!! And good luck to all of you I hope you all have a losing week!!!

I was so darn busy today that I didn’t have time to eat until I got home, so I decided to just follow through with the fast. Not sure what tomorrow will bring. My back is still killing me, and I am taking tomorrow off work to see if I can get in to see the chiro. Feeling great otherwise.

Meekness~ I hope you had a great day!

LaRae~ on losing!

Tina~ Well, you already know it works, and you know you can drop quite a bit by June 7.

Amy~ I like to weigh every day. Do you measure, too?

Windy~ Great job on the weight loss. Fourteen pounds is awesome! I rarely get headaches, but perhaps you are getting them from caffeine withdrawal?

Kissysmom~ Perhaps instead of weighing you can measure. I’d rather weigh than measure. I do both.

Magickal~ You have been kicking butt these past several days, and I know you’ll finish up the month with some serious weight loss.

Mork~ Glad you made it back this way. I came back about 2 ½ weeks ago.

Diana~ You’re going to make it into the 100’s very soon. Keep at it!!! Spurs lost BAD, but I think they’ll wrap it up in San Antonio tomorrow.

Browniee~ You crack me up! Here’s to a new start!!!!

Cskies~ I am sure you’ll get right back on plan. You do so well with your exercising!!! It is hard stopping, but I was thinking drinking a large glass of water 10 minutes before each meal may help.

LaRon~ Great loss!!!! Stillman suggests we weigh ourselves every day even when we reach goal. So, you’re doing great!

KSS~ Nice weight loss for the month!!!

Kathy, Debi, Slatman~

Thanks hoops...I was going to ask how the fast was going for you...see I can do that...so I might take the next 3 days and just not eat...If I don't start I don't have to stop!! lol
I should do the water thing before eating anyway to get in some more water...good suggestion!!

Ok...going to get on the treadmill and try not to think!!

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Hoops...I also skipped lunch, but came home and pigged out on fish and asparagus! Veggies are like my heroin! I did Stillman's to break a stall and it worked, but these last few pounds to goal are sticking like glue!

I totally get what you are saying about the last few pounds sticking like glue Kathy...why won't they just go away??!!

And it is even worse that when you feel bad about pigging out on something that is good for you.... but that was some of my problem to begin with...not so much eating good for you food but eating too much good for you food!!

Good Morning everyone!

Thanks again for the welcome. SO - Day two! I made it through day one anyway, right? lol.

Laura I would measure, but that's yet another trigger for me I'm sad to say. Heck, even clothing sizes are a trigger for me, but I already know what size I'm in right now so I can't avoid it.

This eating breakfast thing is going to be hard for me. I'm just not hungry and don't usually eat anything until I get home from work in the afternoon. In all honesty, I probably won't be able to eat before I leave for work this morning either, but its def. something I will work on.

I hope everyone has a great day!

*edited*

I managed to eat a chicken breast for breakfast. W00T!

Well, you can't "hog" the Whoosh Fairy forever! You have lost so well! I think that she is partial to you!

Actually, I lost 1/2 lb. again this morning. So far, a loss of 6lbs. since 4/21. I'm still so happy to be losing!

Congrats to everyone!

Debi, I keep measuring my waist, also. When I was on Atkins for 9 months, I kept measuring and was so frustrated for not losing lbs. or inches. My waist has gone down 1" since starting Stillman's, so I am hopeful. I need to lose a LOT of inches!

Kissy'sMom - I was never a breakfast eater, either, but I read an article on this board, I believe, that said that we aren't hungry for breakfast because we eat too much in evening. I am finding that if I don't eat heavy and late, then I am more ready to eat in the morning and get that metabolism going.
Day 2 already and pretty soon, it will be Day 12, etc. Stay with it; those days are going to pass by either way. Stay on plan, and you will make them count!

cskies and Kathys52 - we all wish we were as close to goal as you two are. One day someone will look at my signature and wish they were close to goal!

Amy - you'll get past this and see a drop! You are doing well.

Hoops - does the fat fast help with Stillman's? Does it "set you back" eating the fat? I've never tried it and wasn't sure how that would work with Stillman's.

Diana - you must be building muscle which, as they say, weighs more! Kudos on the exercise, and you know you are eating healthier.

KSS and LaRon - both of you are doing greaaaat! Super losses! Way to go!

Slatman - Hello! What is on your agenda for the weekend?

Brownie and Mork - Welcome! You are on the right thread to give you encouragement and support!!

I hope that I didn't miss anyone!

Have a losing day, everyone!

So, I lay here at home off work today waiting for the doctor to open at 2 and hoping to get in today. I can't decide whether I should go back to QWL or do the Inches Off Diet. So, I've done nothing and am still fasting. I have a party on Saturday.

Bored, I decided to measure. I am down just over 10 pounds now and have lost the following:
Shoulders -0.5"
Chest -0.5"
Waist -0.5"
Abdomen -1.5"
Hips -1.0"
Thigh -1.0"
Knee -0.25"
Calf -0.25"

LaRae~ I am fasting, not doing the fat thing. I know some people swear by the fat fast or coconut oil, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around consuming all that fat.

Hi All.
I had a 24 hour bug yesterday it turns out. Thank God I am better today. I don't do well being sick.
Diana and Cskies---I am just 38 and to me those hormones take control sometimes! I dread menopause!
Ride the tide.
Last month my TOM was over a week late so I had major hormone fluctuations. Ahhh, at least thats over!

Anyhow, glad to see everyone is doing well.
Here is my menu today

Eggs and lean ham
tuna
turkey burger

OH! Question. How much weight approx. do you guys think is to a dress size. I had this discussion with a friend. She says 10 pounds. I say 15-20.
What do you all think??

Hello everyone,
I am doing a Stillman's type diet although I can't decide whether or not to add coconut oil. I know it's not allowed; yet, I just feel better when I use it. However, I've been bouncing around the 140's for so long that I am thinking of going without it for a few weeks. Slatman, I know you use it--right? How much do you use? Do you find it interferes with weight loss?

I am so impressed with all the losses--so I hope to join you in losing and make May a big, big loser month for all of us.

I am doing ok...I did eat!! lol
Had some tuna and hb eggs.
Chicken for lunch
and will have a grilled hamburger pattie for supper.

It was nice this afternoon so we spent some time outdoors and that helped my attitude quite a bit!! I am itching to get my garden planted but it has been getting down to 34 and 35 at night so I have to wait just a bit more!!

Will get my evening 3 miles done in a little bit!!
