Hello Ladies,

Hope everybody is enjoying their Saturday.

I am still on Atkins though. Planning to start this on Monday. I weighed yesterday at 145.0 and this morning I was at 144.8. So this past Monday I was at 145.6 then went down to 145.0 and today 144.8.

I am moving so slowly on this Atkins Extended Induction Phase. Mind you I am not excerising.

I hope I will be more successful on Stillmans. From the posts I read it seems you ladies have lost of good chunk in a small time frame.

Magickal1 - Hang in there. You will probably see a drastic drop soon.

cskies - Way to go in getting your exercise in.

Everybody here is so good with the excerising. I have not been able to do any at all. I have to crack down and start some kind of workout. sigh

Magical, I'm sure it will leave in the next day or two. Don't panic, it's just water and it should be gone soon. Maybe you should skip on weighing this week and let it subside.
I don't remember having water retention when I did the internal cleanse but everyone is different.
Also, are you doing some kind of exercise? Sweating will really help too, both in getting the extra water off and revving up your metabolism.
Good Luck,
Jenni

Morning ladies,

Just checking in. I down another 200 grams, not a whole lot but as long as the scale is moving downwards I'm happy.

Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday.

Hi Ladies!! Glad to see everyone is doing well!

I got the craving for tilapia now!!! I made some for an late lunch and it was good!!! I'll be eating that all week, along with tuna and some salmon.

I'm hoping the fish will do the trick for me, although I did have some cauliflower and broccoli.

Everyone have a great Sunday!!!

GOOD FOR U DIANA its yummmy isNt it and very good for u !!!!
these are the things I have noticed the last month doing stillmans omg a whole month i got thru and it wasnt hard really after being in deep ketosis .....

1]I FOUND i WAS SLEEPIN THRU THE NITE [ THATS A GIFT IN IT SELF I NEVER SLEEP AT NITE]

2]I WAS CLEARER MINDED AND ALOT EASIER TO BE AROUND MOOD WISE.

3] WASNT HUNGRY MY APPETITE WAS WELL UNDER CONTROLL...

4]MY DEPRESSION WAS ALMOST NON EXISTANT BETTER THAN ANY MEDICATION I WAS EVER GIVING.
5]MY ENERGY LEVEL WAS 100 X BETTER THAN BEFORE I STARTED STILLMANS.

6]I FOUND MORE HONESTY IN MY WAY OF EATING ....

7]I WASNT TAKING NAP DURING THE DAY !!!!! WHICH IS HUGE CUZ I USUALLY DO...

These are the things I have noticed the were a huge change i stuck with qwl and had made the decision that i needed to give a full try with no cheats , the first 3 days was the hardest but after the first week all got better , I struggle with sever mood swings i cycle thru out the day which is very hard to treat, I have always known carbs were bad for me mentally , but after takin this challenge on stillmans I know for a fact that the lower carb I am the better i am mentally. I have tried so many different medications to stabalize my moods and to help with sever depression nothing has ever helped and i have never had success with no anti depressant, but this has helped like a magic pill I been lookin for , but its not a pill its a commitment to stillmans . I have thought about this and wanted to share in case someone else might be going thru the same thing, to be imprisoned by urself is one of the worst things i could ever express to u . I know I have found something that not only helps my weight but my state of mind.Losing weight is a plus , but the ability to live a normal life and feel good and not having mood swings several times a day is a miracle and I am so glad i gave this a try. I have been sleepin so good at nite I dont want to ever give that up seriously i was on some very strong drugs to induce sleep and never would no matter how much i was takin- I would go days with out sleepin then takin a nap for an hour or so durin the day, but still feelin as if I was drugged up long one huge hang over that never ended and thats how i was living for years , when i started atkins some the symptoms were better not as sever but I still had no controll or energy. I had a visit with my doctor last week he took me off all meds except my one mood stabalizer but we cut it down to more than half and I am hopin that is all i will need to take or to be away from it all ..Like I said I have known carbs were like poison to me for a long time now, but I think I am finding exactly what my body needs and I am not kiddin myself no more , what i meant about eating honestly was low carb is good but i would have days where id have way more carbs than i should and convince myself im still low carbing cuz there legal foods, uhmmmm no i was lying to myself and wondering why I wasnt losin and my moods were gettin worse, again I hope this will help someone and if u think it might id say give it 2 full weeks of complete honest eating no cheats and see how u are then right down how many hours ur sleepin and how u are mood wise I bet u will have same results as me - I cant begin to tell u wat a miracle this woe is for me.....Only way u will know if it truelly works is to give it a real try with no cheats - IN SHARING THIS I HOPE I CAN HELP SOMEONE ELSE...

HUGS TO U ALL .......

Good day ladies and slatman,

Hey Magickal~did you use uniodized sea salt? That's the one to use. I used iodized sea salt by mistake and had the same problem. Uniodized will not make you retain..it really goes through you. Also, on finding something and staying commited to this WOE that is working for you. Very insightful post.

Debi~ on your 20 pound loss. Your waist will soon start melting away.

Lora~ Great job! Did you take your measurements since you threw out your scale?

cskies~ Tell us a real problem, not your 8’s not fitting! I am sure you’re looking HAWT!

Magickal~ Hang in there. Your menu looks fantastic. Your body is probably still losing inches even though the scale isn’t registering weight loss. Inches are far better than pounds in my book. By the way, awesome post!

Windy~ How are things going for you?

Browniee~ Stillman encourages exercise. That Tae Bo sure is fun! What a great choice for a workout.

Jenni~ You have a great attitude about the whoosh fairy. Glad you had a loss.

Hayley~ So glad to have you here, especially with your past experience with Stillmans. You definitely work in a tempting environment, but I am sure you found that after a day or two on QWL the appetite diminishes and that helps loads!

Onefitgal~ You are doing so well with your exercise! You always impress me!

Moretta~ I have no clue about refeeding. I think SLATMAN has posted more about that. The first day or two may be tough, but after that it does really get so much easier. Best to you on your start. I hope those books came????

Slatman~ Are you the refeeding expert? Moretta wants to know all about it.

Diana~ I see you’re a Suns fan. Ummm… did you see that playoff game on Saturday? WOW! Spurs are my team, so I was glad for the outcome. Suns are my second favorite team, because I spent my childhood going to Suns games. I see you’re in Glendale. I spent 19 years in Litchfield Park.

Spenckey~ I love buffalo sauce, too. Yum! I am pretty strict when following QWL, but I will occasionally add a tablespoon of sauce or just load on the cayenne pepper.

Shari~ I am sure this week will be much better for you.

Chessie~ How wonderful to only put on 1 pound while on your vacation thinking you ate in a way that could have packed on more. I am very impressed, because I love to vacation and eating is such a social thing for me.

Hoops - you are part of the reason I'm here I reread all of your posts on stillmans. One month you lost 22 lbs and I was hooked. I'm also in vegas
magikl. I think refers meals have helped me lose by keeping my body guessing. Not scientific
sammy
Yes, my first month. It was from August 1 to September 1 in 2006. That was when I first tried Stillman's QWL, and I lost 22 pounds. The following month of September I took off another 9, but I did have a few low carb days and a few completely off plan days that month.

Are you in Las Vegas????

Magical,
Your "testimony" brought tears to my eyes. What pain you have been in for such a long time. How fortunate you are to have the strength and courage to make things better for YOU!. I admire you so much! And since I am in the healthcare field, I sure hope your physician expressed his/her pleasure with your progress!
