I am feeling great! I grilled chicken yesterday and brought it for lunch today at work. Lunch is totally a social time for me.

I find the key for Stillman's to work for me is having food easily accessible. So, I put things in 4-6 oz servings ready to eat or less than 10 minutes to prepare out of the freezer.

everyone!

Christina~ Hi there! Sorry about the hip pain!

Juniper & Windy~ His book says the vegetables added with slow weight loss down by about 50%. The reason is due to the carbs in vegetables. Anything that grows in or from the ground contains carbs. He does have another plan that is primarily fruits, vegetables, cereals, and grains that may be more appealing. He even suggests alternating between the two... one week on one and then one week on another.

Slat~ It's been a while, but I am ready to get back on track. No better place than right here on Stillman's! I love Laughlin, but it can get up to 135 degrees in the summer!

Hoops, thanks for the info! I dont have the book so thanks much. I am gonna try the no veggies and see what happens. But if I personally don't notice a dramatic difference I think I will add them back. I love veggies and I feel better eating them. I understand where your coming from Juniper!
Hoops-you're right. It much easier when you have food at your disposal. Best for me when the meat/fish is cooked and all I have to do it heat it up in the micro! Then you get satisfied without eating something you can't! Its hard for me because I love to cook and bake. And I have to cook for the family. Do you have that problem too? I eat first then cook so I am not tempted!

Magickal--thank you much but take a look at yourself hun! You are beautiful -and I am sure once you hit goal you're going to be a knockout!!!
Make sure you are eating enough girl!!

Take care all!

Hi, new here at LCF.

I am a female, mid forties who just cannot break this weight. I am starting Stillmans today and will take it day by day.

Does this look right?

meal1: .5 cup of egg whites with hot sauce
meal2: lc yogurt - 3 carbs
meal3: hard boiled egg with hot sauce
meal4: lean pork loin
meal5: grilled fish with lemon
meal6: .5 cup of cottage cheese with cinnamon

I was thinking of pacing small meals to keep the hunger at bay.

Any thoughts?

Also, any of you dieters have just 10-15 to go and use Stillmans to get there?

thanks in advance,

Dior

Hey everyone. It sounds like we're all doing well today. I've decided to chuck my beloved veggies for a few days and see if they make that much difference. A 50% slow in weight loss is just not worth it. Oh well.

Hoops: Thanks for lettin me know about that cuz I don't have the book either. I have the cookbook but can't remember reading that. It makes a difference.

Slatman: You were right that it's a good thing when we view veggies as a treat.

Magickal1: thanks for the compliment . You're gorgeous!!
Enjoy the massage.

Diorskin: Welcome. You've come to the right place. You're menu looks good except I'm not sure the yogurt is allowed. Other than that it looks perfect.

Everyone keep up the good work. We're on our way!

Good afternoon everyone. I am 155 again today. That is three days that the scales have not moved. After reading everyone's post, I have decided I am not eating enough this week. I had no breakfast (as usual), then I ate 2 pcs of grilled chicken for lunch. Who knows what supper will be. Looks like whatever I pick up at Wal-Mart.

Everyone keep up the great work.

RE: eating more / eating less

Sometimes the scale will not move... it's frustrating but it happens. You may be doing something wrong.. maybe not but it is a good time to evaluate what you are doing.

1. Do you MEASURE at least 80 ounces of water per day?
2. Are you eating at LEAST three small meals per day and two small snacks if needed?
3. Are you REALLY sticking exactly to plan?
4. Are you keeping your metabolism up with at least 20 minutes per day of exercise?
5. Are you having a healthy refeed meal at least every ten days?
6. Are you eating too little?
7. Are you eating too much?

Hi everyone.
I had a good day...no veggies...feels kinda strange.

Here is my menu

b-eggs
l-tuna
d-turkey burger

I am a bit hungry so I may have another hb egg.

Spenckey-don't get discouraged! Maybe you could bring the scale out once or twice a week like me. Its not so nerve wracking then.

Magickal-sounds good to me-a massage-but I really really need the pedicure. Especially since the weather is warming up here! Finally!

Alright all, have a good night! Sweet dreams about your new bod!

Day 5 on QWL. I've dropped 6 pounds thus far, and I have too many more to go. So, I am taking it one day at a time.

Everyone You are such a wonderfully positive group! I have been off Stillman's for a year and a half, although I do have the books that I've read several times if anyone wants me to look up anything. The books are kind of hard to track down and most falling apart if you do find them to buy.

Antigone & Dior~ I just started on Saturday, too.

Windy~ It is just my son and I at home, so he eats what I make, what he prepares, or I’ll make him something else. We never eat meals that require much prep, and we typically eat one or two items for a meal.

Slat~ So you are on maintenance now? What are you eating?

Christina~ Some lose at the onset of TOM, some after. I tend to gain just beforehand steadily, and then lose it the first full day. I’d be counting that pound!

Spencky~ I hope you see a loss tomorrow. Dr. Stillman even talks about the week that little loss may be realized, but he says to push through because the following week will be a larger loss. He says we should average about 5 pounds a week after the first week in which he says we’ll lose between 5-10% of our weight.

Magickal~ How was the massage? I just love massages, pedicures, manicures, and especially facials. I rarely get facials and I love those the most! I’ve never waxed, because I am afraid of the pain. Does it hurt? I have me some bushy eyebrows!

hoops would like to drop a few more I've been exercising heavily this year so I'm a little reluctant to go in full blown ketosis due to potential muscle loss so I'm cycling in and out of low carb and carb loading with good carbs for my weekend workouts (120+miles cycling) Doing this I've been able to maintain the weight since jan 1 between 195 and 200 while adding muscle. I do a weekly Saturday race with pro cyclists and hang with them so I'm pretty happy...

Since you were last doing stillman's I hung around on qwl and had a LONG stall and finally added exercise last fall and BAM!
