Cskies, that is AWESOME, 6 miles a day??Are you kidding me? No wonder you are doing so well!! Keep it up !
Me, I only get in 4 miles.
So, do you have any "babies"?

I stay at home with mine although I am going back to school in the fall..grad school.
Its hard being on a diet and being at home with little ones. Tempting food in my face all the time!!!

Hey all! It sounds like everyone is doing really well. I have a question about veggies. I started adding veggies to one or two meals a day because I just felt really awful and low energy. They seem to help but do you think they will drastically alter weight loss? I just wasn't functional on all meat and that is terribly disappointing but it is what it is. I have a beach vacation in 2 months and I need to lose 35-40 lbs by then. That is possible isn't it? Difficult but possible? ANY advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

Good morning everyone. I just went through and read the last 4 days of post. WOW, WOW, WOW you guys are doing great. I am still at 155. So I'm hoping for a whosh tomorrow. Thursday is our annual banquet for work. I dread that meal. But we are having grilled chicken. So I will push down a gallon of water before I go and then just eat the chicken. Ok, that is what I want to do. Who knows what I will do when I get there.

Everyone keep up the good work. I love reading your post. My home computer is at the shop and can't wait for it to get fixed so I can see what's going on all the time, not just sneaking at work. HA HA

onefitgal...way to go on getting your exercise in there...you are doing great!

juniper...adding veggies isn't stillmans' but if that is what you feel you need then I say go ahead and add them..they might slow down your weightloss but you should still see good results! Everyone losses differently so yeah you could possibly get that much weight gone in 2 months...sounds like a fun vacation at the beach!!

spenckey...glad to see you here...hope your home computer gets fixed real soon too. Good luck with the work banquet!!

Good morning!
Welcome back Laura!

Laughlin went well our little 11 year olds played pretty even with the 12-13 year olds.. we ended up in 5th place out of 20 teams. We partied and gambled quite a bit didn't get any exercise in all weekend my training calls for light week once a month guess last week will be it. Tested my fitness level on my hill this morning and made it all the way no problem so....

B: scrambled eggs / lean bacon
L: Burger patty / cottage cheese
D: Burger patty / sml side salad

exercise: 50 minutes cycling / 3 hill repeats /

NO soda day 15

Have a great day everyone!

What kind of veggies..? there are great veggies and not so good veggies for low carbing.. are you eating enough without the veggies? you shouldn't be feeling awful and low energy quite the opposite...

Slatman,

The veggies have mostly been lettuce with a little zero calorie dressing. I had some mushrooms too. I think I may just be feeling bad cause I had been a vegetarian for over a decade and just added back chicken and fish in the last 6 months or so. Maybe its too much to go from no meat to all meat. I don't know, I'm not giving up though. Just going to make sure and get my healthy green veggies in for a while.

yes, may take a couple days till you feel really well.. if you need carbs due to a high daily activity level that is fine... pick the right ones like broccoli the perfect food... no, you will not lose as fast as with qwl but if you are more comfortable doing this that is what is important.. what matters is do something you can stick with..

sounds like a good plan to me... if veggies have become our "treat" take a step back and think about that one

Dr.Stillmans ~14 Day Shape Up Program

not as fast as qwl but perfect as a woe but unlike stillmans you need to watch portions closely

That is so funny because that is how I feel... I have always loved veggies but never thought I would get so excited over getting to eat some.
For me sometimes because I usually do strict stillmans that when I eat a salad... I not only feel like it is such a treat but that I am cheating...weird!!!

Hi Slateman.' I have a question for you. Do you know why eating veggies slows the weight loss down? Nobody can seem to answer this for me....Or is it just your experience?
I am thinking of stopping the veggies to see myself but I know I will have some "digestive" issues is all.

Thanks!
