Wow daleig, working at 2 different restaurants and staying on Stillman's would be a hard one for me...just seeing and smelling all that food would drive me crazy!!
Stillman's is pretty repetitive and not alot of choices but if you stick with it your appetite will decrease and that has been a big help for me while on it. I try not to do more than 10 days on Stillmans and then switch to Atkins Induction for 2 to 5 days. But you have to do what works for you! Good Luck!!

Good for you daleig. I know a lady that drank 15 plus diet pop/sodas a day, for years. She stopped drinking them about 2 months ago. She has lost 33 lbs. She isn't doing Stillman's but just think how good she did by just getting rid of her pop addiction.

You can do it too!!!

I am a planning on starting stillmans tomorrow.... may I join your support group? I have been on it before with great success but I fell off the wagon a few years ago and gained it all back. I know it works and I know I can do it... but the first few days will be tough.

Okay,
So, how is eveyone doing???
I have been follwing Stillmans since last wednesday (so, 5 days) and I have dropped nearly five pounds. Before that I couldn't budge the scale doing the conventional low cal low fat diet...even with working out.

Anyone else??

I started today... I have my official start weight...drank 1/2 gallon of water... took my vitamins... ate some chicken...
I am hoping to do stillmans somewhat long term. I have a lot of weight to lose and I would like to lose a lot rather quick in the beginning. I know it will be tough to get through the next few days until ketosis kicks in... but I can do it.... Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!!

Hi KSS!
I just started Stillmans last wednesday. It was really hard the second and third day for me, I felt crappy. Now I am feeling better. A little fatigued but better. I have a lot of weight to lose too-30 -35 pounds so I hear you. I am hoping to stick to strict stillmans for a good month..then modify it a bit with refeeds that I have been reading about.

I will be glad to help support you!! We can all help eachother.
Are you working out at all? I do cardio 3/4x a week for an hour. It will be interesting to see if this diet makes working out hard for me. So far, so good.
I don't want to quit working out even though I have read that cardio isn't the best with this type of diet. I work out for so many reasons besides weight...I find it to be such a great stress relief! Plus, I think it plays a major role in maintenece later on!
Alright, have a good evening and see you soon.

Day 2 ... lost 2.5 pounds the first day... was to be expected at the beginning... so far I feel OK... I expect today to be tougher then yesterday.
I have not started working out yet but I did join a gym and I plan to work out cardio hopefully 4-5 times a week. I walked 5 miles a day a few years ago when I was on stillmans and had no problem with it. Maybe I will start today since the crappy feeling I have been waiting for has not kicked in yet. I know I have a long way to go ... about 100 lbs to lose... but I know I can do it.

I would love to jon this. I need to lose some excess water retention and eventually ease my way back into Atkins Induction.

I'm interested in possibly giving this a try. I have only ever tried Atkins. What are the main differences between Stillman's and Atkins. If someone wanted to enlighten me on the pros and cons that would be great too. Thanks--

Stillman's focues on lean meats, and discourages fattier cuts, whereas Atkins is about having more fat. Also, depending on which Stillman's you are doing, veggies are discouraged. That's the main differences that I see.
