hi everyone. I am back again. So mad at myself! But I leave on vacation in about 30 days. I need to lose at least that! Can I do it? I know last time I lost about one pound a day. Hopefully I can again. Can I do a whey drink with my coffee for breakfast. I have to keep the eggs at a minimum as they are not my favorite food. But, will do what I have to. Please, any suggestions or advice - I welcome! You guys have done awesome! Did someone say they were losing 11/2 - 2 pounds a day?!?! Is that because of the sauna suit in addition to Stillmans? I don't think I could talk my hubbie into spending $300 but maybe I will try!! Thanks everyone. I look forward to joining your thread!(if there is room)

Mork!
There is always room here!
I can't wait till it really gets kicked up and more people are posting.
You mentioned that you had lost about a pound a day before. Were you doing Stillman's and if so, for how long were you on it?
I am the one with the sauna suit and was losing about 2 pounds a day. I don't think it was because of using the suit as much as it was doing Stillman's. I know it made me feel better when I would sweat for an hour without having to workout like crazy to get the same results. I still would like to do something to help with the cardio aspect.
I haven't used the sauna in a couple of weeks since we've had company here and staying in the room where I use it. I will pull it back out and use it tonight.
My goal is to lose 30 pounds in 30 days too.
I'm sure this is very attainable with this diet.
Jenni

About the whey powder... I think it's a big NO-NO since it's not on the list. How about chicken for breakfast? I know it sounds a little strange but believe me, you get used to eating dinner for breakfast. I'm not a big egg fan either...

Happy New Year everyone!

I don't know if I'll ever be able to lose 30 pounds in 30 days, but hey, I'm up for the challenge.

I'm sure that this thread will get really active again now that the Holidays are over and we're all determined to finally get this weight off for good. My goal is to make sure that on December 31, 2008 I'm NOT thinking about losing weight as a new year's resolution.

Thank you for the welcome! Okay, I won't do the whey. How about rotissere (sp?) chicken? As long as I take off the skin?
Last time I was on Stillmans. I did it for about 3 weeks-with a few cheat days in there. This time there will be no cheat days. I did eat the cottage cheese but I have read that it stalls people so much that is why I was thinking of doing the whey shake.
The cottage cheese was great for b-fast.
What have you been eating? About how many calories, fat and carbs? Or, don't you watch that? I would love to lose 2 pounds a day!!Wohoo!!

Hello all,
I too have about 28 days before my big holiday and plan on doing Stillman's the whole time. It would be great to lose about 25, or 20 minimally. I am planning on eating mostly fish for every meal every day until then. I also will be going to the gym everyday. I am pretty good about working hard at the gym, usually 1hr to 1 1/2 cardio and weight training. I need the extra conditioning, because Carnival is very fast paced, including two days of actually being in the parade from sun up till sun down.

Whirlybird: Do ou think that sitting in the suana will have a similar effect. I havent done that yet, but thinkit could help.

Also, given my timeline, does anybody have any ideas about when to introduced the GLA/CLA combo, given the level of exposure, it would be nice to get rid of some belly fat.

Welcome carnivalbaby & mork!!!

It's a great time to start new!! I did end up gaining 8 lbs. over the holiday season as I hadn't got on the scale, but my sights were always set on this date when I could start fresh and all the holiday temptations behind me. Believe me I'm ready.

I'll try to be better about posting, work & family situation unchanged. Since we had bad weather didn't get a chance to travel to family gatherings so that eased some stress, but work situation still hanging there, we should know more in a week or two.

So good luck to all you new "losers" - (and I mean that affectionately & positively). And Happy New Year to all.

Jane

Good morning everyone! Here I go. Day one. I am excited! Great to have support too.
Hate to be a pest but I had asked earlier if anyone watches carbs fats or calories? Just wondering. It has been awhile since I have done this. Thanks. I will check in later.
Breakfast will be some scrambled eggs. Have a great day.

I watch my carbs and calories, but not fat. I try to stick to close to zero carbs, and I keep my calories under 1200.

Hey guys,
Rapidly approaching the end of Day1 of Stillmans. I couldnt sleep last night (ended up going to bed at 7:30 this morning--I know that's a whole 'nother issue) So I had 3 strips of turkey bacon and one scrambled egg (No extra oil) around 6 this morning. I had a chargrilled chicken breast from Chickfilla for lunch--no bread, no lettuce or tomato, no mayo. And I just had a piece of baked Perch.

Honestly, I am still hungry but I am going to take the wait and see approach to the next food I eat.

Also, no exercise yet. I had planned to go to the gym, but the day has been hectic. I am going to do a exercise video off of the digital cable box.

I definately have a feeling that I will be consistent with this diet this time. :-)

Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone.

I am excited to start off on the right foot with this diet and this tread, You guys are great. I would like to drop 20 - 30 pounds in thirty days too! I love eggs but with cheese so it may be a biy harder to get them down every day with out it. Two pound a day sounds great what veggies if any do you eat? I love ground beef, Fajita style chicken and rotisseri, the kind you find at wal-mart deli. not too crazy about fish though. what other meats do you eat WB?

I am working out at a gym, and I dance with my daughters thats fun for me and funny to them

I'm lovin this thread thanks again y'all.

I'm recieving a message that I am not yet allowed to edit my profile but I'll keep checking so I can add my stats and a pic.

Until then:

Good Morning.
Down a pound already today, I had a cheat-free day so am proud of that and I already don't feel hungry at all. I think I truly got sick of all the holiday sweets/carbs that my body is sooooo ready to go back on the protein. I even enjoyed my HB egg at lunch and had a fried one for supper.

Welcome High Maintenance and FitGal!!!!

Hi!

I haven't been to LCF in awhile! I went off my diet in June last year and gained 10 lbs up til Thanksgiving, then I gained 10 more from T-giving to now! So, I really want to get it off quickly. I hate tight clothes. I can't start til tomorrow as I had Special K for breakfast and a lean pocket for lunch. I'm not new to Stillmans. I've had good success w/ it over the years and it knocks out my appetite like nothing else! I even have the original book! I really need a place to be accountable, so I hope it's OK to post here!

The 1st 4 threads in Stillman's from "Sticky" outline the original diet pretty well and have recipe and other ideas.

You don't necessarily need the book, but it is nice to have as it tells all about the metabolism end of things and how this diet all orinated.

The book was written by Maxwell Stillman (anyone correct me if name is wrong), in the late 1960's. Go to your local used bookstore, check on Amazon.com for a used book, check on eBay - all those places you can get a used book that won't cost you much.

Read through as many of the posts on the Stillman's thread that interest you, a lot of good information here and is nice to get to know people as well!!!!

Here's to new beginnings to all of us!!!

HELLO, AGAIN, EVERYONE

I was fairly new before becoming completly MIA before the holidays.

Here's a refresher:

Started Stillmans Dec 3, 2007
Dec 20--- dropped 13 lbs YAY!! (the last week had tried the IF, but during my window was dipping into the holiday treats, still managed to lose, exercised like crazy)
Dec 21-Jan 2: The FOOD-FEST began!!!
Jan 3,2008- up 8lbs

BUT Im looking on the bright side and Im still 5lbs down from my original start date!!

I'm soooo ready to get the fat off again and continue on this journey

Everyone said "Why start before the holiday?"
But if I didnt I would of weighed more than my Dec 3rd weight, right??

I had 3 Bday Celebrations before the Holiday and was fine going and was able to still have a good time, regardless of not eating. So with Xmas out of the way I know I will be successful!!

Thank you again for your previous support and looking foward to chatting with all of you again!!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
WE CAN DO IT!
