I am still here

Hello all. I am still here.

I haven't disappeared from the board...just had no computer as my hard drive crashed!!

Congrats to all who made it safely through Thanksgiving temptations.

My latest weigh in brought me down to 208...so down 23 pounds.

My losses have slowed down somewhat, but I am still heading in the right direction.

My December Goal is to be into Onederland...It will be tough, but I'll get there.

Have a great day all
----

Congrats Pauls on the 23 lbs., and good luck to you on reaching Onederland by Christmas!!!!

My body just won't give up those last 2 lbs. to Onederland, but I'm hanging in there. I've been eating pretty much the same thing, so I think I've just stalled myself so will change my diet a bit, hopefully that will do the trick.

Have a great day to all!!

Just checking in....I'm on day 4 and down to 180. I'm trying to make it into my "skinny" jeans by Dec. 22. When I bought them, I weighed 167. But at the time I wasn't excercising or eating healthy. Basically I was just starving myself.
Also, I saw something interesing on the atkins 72 board--a recipe for something called "revolution rolls". I made up a batch and they were pretty good.

Morning everyone!

I totally forgot that we needed a new thread for December.

How was everyone's weekend? It's crunch time so I'm doing everything I can to hit onderland by Christmas...and that includes working out EVERYDAY.

I weighed in this morning and I'm down 3.2 pounds. Yay!

Have a great day everyone!

Jessie, at least you didn't gain so it wasn't *that* much of setback was it?
You'll do great this week. I have faith.

Had a pretty good weekend got a good ride in yesterday with a really fast group... topped out at 41 mph pretty quick on a bike

When I got home my 11 yo dd wanted to ride so we did another 12 miles

still "maintaining" the weight not quite ready for strict stillmans to drop a few more lbs

looks like the weekends are tough for a lot of you... plan 1 cheat meal on the weekend then the rest of the weekend should be easier and not turn into a carbfest

Hi All,

We are having a family crisis out here, and it will take a while to get things cleared up. My work situation may be changing as there is talk that our facility will be closed down due to finances.

I am hanging on to my goals and trying each day to be successful with the diet, and at this point am going into maintenance mode and following the diet the best I can with the goal of keeping my weight the same for now. I will continue to visit the board several times daily, and post when I can.

I've never much spoken on spiritual aspects here, but if any of you are prayin' folks please offer up some kind thoughts for my family and also for the residents here at the nursing home so they won't have to look for another place to live, especially during the holidays (we have 80 residents)............

I'll keep you posted and I'm working on waking up each day with new hope and joy for the day.

Take care,
Jane

Hey everyone,
Well yesterday went very well... I am feeling back in control and very excited about losing again. I just went shopping with my little girl and I saw soooo many cute clothes I want to buy. I think I will reward myself with a new outfit every 5 pounds I lose. well I am waiting untill Friday till weigh in...I will let you know how that goes.

Congrats Jessie on being back in control! Clothes are a HUGE motivation for me too. Mostly all the cute clothes that I already have from when I was thinner, that won't fit me again until I lose at least 30 more pounds! Yikes!

My reward for when I hit 199 is a facial and when I hit 175 it is a full body massage! I'm so excited and it really makes me want to get to my 175 goal because I loooove massages!

I'm down another pound today. Yay!

I am on day 2 of Stillmans. I need support. Bottom line, 2007 was not my year for losses. I am up 9 pounds. I like my weight to be 150, not 159! lol

menu:
coffee
water
chicken pre cooked from Trader Joes
eggs if need be later

The hardest part is the evening - I want to prowl the kitchen. Ack.

I started at 161!
Today is 159

Nice to be here.

Chantel, congrats on your loss so far! And you only 9 more pounds to lose! You'll get there in no time.

I'm a night time food craver too! I started working out at night instead of in the morning and I think that has done the trick for me. After working out you don't want to ruin all that hard work by eating again! lol

Jessie, I pretty much eat the same thing everyday. lol I just started cooking with coconut oil too and I love it.

For lunch I'll either have 2 eggs, or I'll grab some slices of roast beef and munch on that.

For dinner I've been buying those packets of beef at the grocery store that are sliced up nice and thin for stir fry, and then I fry those up with about a tablespoon of coconut oil.

After dinner I treat myself to a fake rootbeer float which is just a diet rootbeer with a tablespoon of half and half in it, and then I top it with a tablespoon of whipped cream.
Delish.

So you do not eat any Breakfast? Do you feel hungry? I love the fake root beer float...it is so yummy!!! I am hoping to be in ketosis by Thursday so I will not be so hungry all the time. We are having a Christmas party at our house this Saturday. I think if I am in Ketosis I will be able to resist all the food. Usually when I host a party I am so busy I do not feel like eating. But I am planning on having some drinks. I was thinking about captian Morgan and diet coke....do you have any idea the carbs in Liquor? I am looking forward to an evening with just adults.

Oh yeah...one more question...do you think the coconut oil helps you lose..some people swear by it. does it taste like coconut? Why do you like it so much.....sorry for all the questions..
