Onions and Garlic?

I'm cooking a pot roast in the slow cooker today, I haven't put the meat in yet but I put a couple cloves of garlic and a half an onion in for flavor and just thought that maybe I should remove them! Any thoughts? Even if I don't eat the g and o will the carbs seep into the meat do you think? I know on Stillman's it's "Don't eat it if not on the list!" and the fresh vegetables for seasoning are not the dried types so I may be cheating! Help guys!!
Thanks for your help!

I think the garlic and onions would be okay in the roast. Go for it!
