Vitamins? GLA/CLA?

I was hoping I could get your expertise on vitamins. What do you take? Which are neccessary while doing Stillman's?
Also I've heard about GLA and CLA on another thread and read about it but not sure if it is somethng we need. Any opinions on that?
What are the true benefits, if any? Anyone take those nutrients?

Thanks guys!!

I'm sorry I don't know what GLA & CLA are, but I take One-A-Day Weight Smart, take 2 every day.

I take a bunch of vitamins, but I read everyone's post doing Atkins saying they take it and I never heard of it.

I take:

Multiple vitamin
Vit. c
Biotin
Coral Calcium
Magnesium
Potassium

So HOPEFULLY I've got it covered!! lol!

Here I am replying to myself again!

Now that there are a few new people on here, I just want to reiterate my question...

Anyone on CLA/GLA and doing Stillman's?

I am just starting to take the combo and it is a fatty acid, and has fat calories, so I was wondering if I was defeating the purpose of Stillman's by ingesting extra fat. Most people that take it seem to be on Atkins which is high fat, so I may have to switch back to Atkins.

So any input? Maybe I will just have to experiment myself!

Hi Twi, I don't take it, but I eat Grass-fed beef which is pretty high in it... I have heard very good things about it so it will be interesting to see if it helps you! I know it is fat, like borage oil or something??? but how many fat calories is it per dose (or serving)? I can't imagine it could interfere with the diet, even Stillman's... Stillman's allows some sort of cheeses, which contain some fat... I think it really all would depend on how much you were taking.

The CLA is 50 calories (fat calories per pill) and the Borage Oil is just 500 mg of the oil. I guess it should be okay, I will probably be doing Atkins again this weekend anyway. Too hard with my husband doing Atkins and fat when I'm not, at least on the weekends.

I decided to try NOT to weigh myself for a week so I don't get discouraged. But I am excited to see how you've done!

Actually how everyone has done. All in all, Stillmans is the best the first week then slows down, just like everything else.

Yeh, that would be hard... See my Hubby is a Carby... usually eating pizza, chocolate, ice-cream, big crusty bread sandwiches, I could go on but I won't, the thing is, I am usually okay with that ( I do occasionally crave sweets) but for me it's fat... Love fat! Love the fat on the steak, the taste of full fat cheeses and heavy cream (don't even really require whipped cream to be sweetened... maybe just a tad), so it would be REALLY hard for me on Stillman's if I had to watch someone else eat the fat on the steak... I feel for you! As far as the CLA and Borage oil, keep me posted, sounds interesting, I want to see if it helps you at all. I do eat a lot of grass-fed beef, milk, butter and cheeses, they all contain the CLA (Course I haven't these last few days doing Stillman's) I think I am going to stick with the Stillman's at least for the next few days and see what happens... Somethings got to happen soon I think... I hope...

I hear ya! My hubby is frying bacon as we speak! fried eggs in butter and bacon on the side sounds better than hard boiled eggs doesn't it? I guess it may have to be Atkins, not sure yet. I would do it just for the cream in my coffee!

YES!!!! I did it... I ate the fat! Lots n lots of fat!!! I even had some cream (and not in my coffee) hehehe I am trying the ol' Up Your Fat plan... It will be interesting to see what happens (you know, which way the scale goes), and aside from simply interesting, it will be yummy! So there... I hope I can still post in the Stillman's thread, I almost feel guilty!

Don't feel guilty, I'm sure you can post anywhere, and people don't all do Stillmans every single day here. anyway, I have been eating more fat (that comes with meat) here too, and will probably add a cup of veggies here and there which is more Atkins, and I hope this thread won't throw me out! Will Ya?

So I did the IF yesterday for the first time!! Here goes today, I hope it is as easy today as was yesterday!
