Canadian Bacon?

Any thoughts on Canadian Bacon? It does have a couple of carbs but is so much lower in fat than regular bacon that I thought it may be okay for Stillman's or the Meat & Egg fast? I have avoided it during Atkins induction but am starting the Meat and Egg thing today till I get over my stall.
Actually the basic rules say nothing about any pork products. I have the original book and it is really old, back in the day when they thought pork was so fattening and now we know pork tenderloin is leaner than chicken!
Thanks for any advice!

Thanks for your input. So reg. bacon is not a good option on Stillmans right? I know it's fine for Atkins but I didn't see it listed on Stillmans.

Since Stillmans stresses LEAN meats, can't get much leaner than Canadian Bacon. There are different brands too, I just bought some that has 0 carbs. and 70 Calories and 2.5 fat for 2 oz. by Hormel. Many brands have a couple carbs because they are cured with sugar.
I don't know, we are already so limited, it's a nice treat.

Hey girl.....

I have used the Hormel brand of Canadian Bacon since I have been LCing, both on Atkins and Stillmans.....it has not caused me any problems or any stalls.....I would say go for it.....we don't have much in the way of variety, so every little item is a treasure ! lol

Today I bought Turkey pepperoni too! 0 carbs, 70% less fat too! A little dry, but it's spicey and tastes like pepperoni! I will limit my intak of it, but I'm pretty sure it would be legal! (too bad we cant put it on a crispy crust with sauce and oodles of melted cheese...)

At this point I could do without the crispy bun and the sauces, but just thinking about that cheese makes me drool !

Have you been able to find Farmers cheese yet? It's not really the same but does melt and get a little gooey but it's also watery, but when you are a "cheese-a-holic" like us, you make due!
