Hello All!
I have been watching your posts on a few threads and decided to start here. You seem like a fun group. I am not a newbie to this WOE but I think it will become apparent that I don't know what the hell I am doing when it comes to posting I am dropping in here to lose my last 28 lbs - if my body will let me. My husband is in Iraq and I figure i want to give him "less" of me when he gets back rather than "more". ![]() So, I do stillman's every weekday and I carb cycle (somewhat) by cheating Atkin's style on the weekends. Seems to work great and gives me a break. I look forward chewing the "meat" with all of you.

Hi Jane,
I love jazz (mostly smooth jazz). Makes me feel better no matter what. I love to sing and I'm pretty good at it... but not in public, as I am more likely to pass out than breathe even one note within earshot of another human-being ![]() |

This is a "cheat day" for me.
B - 1 s/f peanut butter cup = 1 carb, 170cal......no time - kids are sick L - 2 pieces turkey bacon = 2 carbs, 70 cal. D - low carb wrap BLT = abt 7 carbs and abt 500 cals (woohoo) crystal light I HATE eggs. Anybody have a good idea of what to do with them? I want to eat them AND like them. |

Welcome Kerry!
![]() Jane - I tried your deviled egg recipe today. I modified it and mashed everything together to make egg salad. It was good! (still love my mayo but this is a nice substitute!). Hope everyone is having a good day. |

EGGS -
I eat them "fried" (use light pam cooking spray) in the skillet, scrambled - plain or with cheese, or make an omelet and throw meat & cheese in with them, not to bad. My personal favorite (not) - hard boiled dry white things we eat on this diet!!!: You can use the hard-boiled eggs plus cottage cheese to make deviled eggs, egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, or just to snack on - sprinkle your favorite spice on them (pepper, paprika, someone suggested dry ranch dressing a while back)... What about quiche? Any body have any luck making this or like a scrambled egg casserole in the oven? I've looked at some of those stillman recipes and not sure want to try. Best rule is to experiment - whatever you can make with eggs & milk or mayo, you can usually make with eggs & cottage cheese, plus other cheeses in there helps to keep it more solid if you're cooking. Eggjoy your day!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Jane |

Daniel,
Weekends are hard for me too, espeically Saturdays - I get up early to work my 2nd job and even though take a lunch by the time I get home in late afternoon I'm tired and I think that's why I am weak to temptation. Plus I went to the store after work and they had just pulled the chicken out of the fryers at the deli, will have to adjust my routine to avoid these temptations!!! Think I'll start taking a nap right after work on Sat., then start drinking my water, so will fill stomach up and won't be so tempted. And then go to the store if I need to, maybe that will help. Your salad sounds good!!! Jane |

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been checking in the last few days because I've been pretty busy. I had to play soldier this weekend, and I was exausted. Overall this weekend I've lost 2.6 pounds. Yesterday I woke up late and was unable to cook my food for the day (usually done the night before, but I was way too tired) so I had to do my best to make it work. I did have like 6 meatballs leftover from the day before, and some shrimp cocktail which I brought in. Between that and the fried chicken (I took off the skin) I made it happen. I would like to reach at least 140 by September 27th.... I hope to be back on Active Duty by that time. That's about 10 pounds in 16 days. Should be easy enough, right? I sure hope so! Gonna go try out a belly dancing class tonight. I have a couple of belly dancing outfits that I got in the middle east which I haven't had a chance to use yet. I heard it's a really good workout. Have a good day everyone! |

Jeez: Just wanted to tell you that, since restarting with lcing on May 3, I lost 55 lbs. on Kimkins in 12 wks, 3 days. (I startd on Kimkins, which is basically Stillman's, when following the plan as it is written). From May thru July, I cycled between Kimkins to KE, and while on KE I tried different tricks, like eating a few oz. ever 2 hrs., eating unlimited proteins, and then other times limiting them. In the beginning, I had unlimited lean protein amts. until my metabolism adjusted and then hunger just naturally abated.
Then I hit a major slow down at the very beginning of August - I was actually gaining more and more from exercise but that happens to lots of us! - so I shake up my woe with ideas from different lc plans. But after cycling up a bit, the one woe that always, always shows a loss on the scale is Kimkins/Stillman's. Just thought I'd share!

Hi Everyone!
![]() Haven't dropped in for a few. My kids and I are enjoying the "pool parasite" illness that's been plaguing Utah. There is not a spot in my house my kids have not covered. I have finals this week and I'm so ill I am ready to surrender to retakes. - so no LCing this week - saltines (oh, brother) toast...delicious...![]() But, when I am able to eat I am very interested in the feta shrimp recipe. So if anyone will tell me how it's done that would be awesome. Also, I see roast beef roll up's a lot. What do you put in those? I made them way back when I was on Atkins, but no way would they fit into Stillman's. So, I hope everbody is having a fine, illness-free week! ![]() Catch you later... |

One more thing...
Remember to fly your flag high and proud today!
Along with paying our respects, it's a great way to show our support for the troops serving in Iraq...even if we aren't all sure why they are there, or agree with the reasoning. ![]() ![]() ![]() My husband is currently serving in Iraq along with countless numbers of family and friends - yours and mine. I hope we can all put half our heart in Iraq today and send our brave troops a great big mental pat on the back Heaven knows they could really use it. Sometimes all we can do is rely on faith and know it will all smooth out in the end...or at least maybe it will make more sense to the greater population ![]() ![]() OK - I'm off my soapbox Thanks everybody! ![]() |

i'm new here!
hi everybody!
i just started the stillman's QWL plan yesterday. i woke up today and was down 2 pounds! sooo cool! i feel pretty hungry and have been eating about 1100 calories each day. is this correct? my book is on order from amazon. i weigh 145 and want to get down to about 135. 130 would be a dream! i haven't been unable to get below 139, so i am hopeful that this is the plan to finally do it. i am a 5'3.5" female and 42 years old. i look forward to having people to talk with about this plan. |

Wecome Rartz
Good luck and you will enjoy the first part of the QWL book as Dr. Stillman talks about case studies of lost weight and also the diet plan itself. I still read the first couple chapters off and on myself.TammySue - WOW Way to go!!! Keep up the good work![]() B: 3 slice turkey bacon L: Hamburger & cheese scraped from an enchilada (that's all they had at work here and didn't bring my lunch today). S: Don't know yet, probably some hb eggs, I need to eat them up as am going on vacation tomorrow. I am planning to weigh in tomorrow morning before we leave for 4 days at music festival. Don't know if I'll have time to post that in am as we are leaving before it gets light out and have a 5-hour drive.I am going to try to stay on the diet as much as possible, however we eat from the vendors there and you all know what that type of food is like. I checked ahead on the vendors list and see that there are 2 places, one that has a salad bar, etc., and one that has meat pies, so I may just eat what I can find that is healthiest and do the best I can. Course I can always get a plain hamburger, etc. We will do a lot of walking as are camping out in tent and have to walk all over to get to the different performers, so hopefully that will balance the change it diet - it's to much of a hassle to pack all that food, etc. and cook it at the campground. Wish me luck and willpower, I probably won't be able to pass up the kettle corn or the cinammon almonds!!! But I'll work on moderation. Jane |
