Question about cheese
What in the heck is Farmers cheese and pot cheese? I never heard of them. What are they and where do you buy them. Do you think I could eat low fat mozzerella string cheese instead?

You can find Farmer's Cheese in the deli section of the grocery store - it is a white cheese, I've bought it both in wedge type and in a round wax covered pkg. It is more expensive than other cheeses, but I've grown to like the taste of it. It also melts well.
Pot Cheese - I'm not so sure, maybe someone else can help out here. Goat Cheese is good in omelets, you can buy it in pkgs, kind of crumbly like blue cheese, at least the ones I've found. I have been able to still lose weight using a 2% sliced cheese, I go very slow on it though and limit myself - both Kraft and generic are available in 2%. It's not listed on the Stillman diet, just from my experience, so if you want to follow the diet strict, don't buy it, use the farmer's, goat, pot cheese etc. he has listed. Have a great day! Jane |
