Let's see:
Monday - Turkey bacon, boiled egg, low-fat cheese, turkey meat, sf jello Tuesday - Turkey bacon, egg sunny side up in low-cal pam, no cheese today, sf jello, small amount of peanut butter. I changed my profile as I didn't feel it was fair to say "Stillman's" when I'm doing my own modified version, however I am following his basic guidelines and then adapt what I know works for me. It's funny, where I work, we can eat our meals there and they consist of what the kitchen has left over after the residents eat. It's all good food, however, it tends to be on the high carb side like mashed potatoes, corn avy, etc., and then some kind of meat like roast or turkey. Od people need their carbs. So all the time I was trying to diet on my own before, all I wanted was a nice fresh salad to eat instead of battling all those carbs. Well, within the last couple weeks, almost to the day I started back on Stillman's and taking my own food to work, guess what? They're serving fresh make-your-own salads every single day!! I had thought about switching back to low-carb which I've done before, but I haven't lost enough weight to be comfortable with controllling my eating yet at this point. Have a great day!!! ![]() Jane |

Corrections, it is corn, gravy, not avy, and Od people means Old people (I work in a rest home).

Hi Ladies
![]() Nice to meet you slatman: I'm new to this website (7/07) and I think it is great! I have been doing (trying to do) Stillmans for about 2 or 3weeks not really to sure. I am encouraged losing more than 1 or 2 pounds.. I guess it's because I have alot of weight to lose. I really am looking forward to getting into Onederland...that will definitely deserve a special meal & treat ![]() It's been many, many years...maybe around my wedding...not really sure when I hit the big 200! but I wish I would have done something then!! Oh well, everyday is a new day and the past is the past. Are you trying to lose or maintain? How do you like fasting?? do you go for days? Does it make a big difference?? just curious Well, gotta run...gotta take the kids - mom's taxi is running ![]() I'll check back later...talk to you then.. The younger one in the pic plays softball/fastpitch, soccer, volleyball and basketball. Right now we are in soccer & volleyball seasons... so my husband and I shuffle the girls around... lots of fun!! ![]() Do you have children?? how is your day going... I'm off to pick up the younger one from a scrimmage & take the older one and her bf to the movies!!! can you guess which one is her bf in the pic? one is the bf (her father is still having issues with the whole bf idea) & one is my nephew! I'll be back later... Lisa |

Very familiar... daughter plays club softball & plays volleyball for her school we're on the seven day plan between speed & agility, batting cages, batting lessons, pitching lessons etc... off to a scrimmage myself ttfn |

Hey,
Finally home... isn't it fun...especially with the price of gas... How old is your daughter??? What position does she play in softball...does she do fastpitch? Do you travel pretty far for club?? I sometimes can't believe the money we spend on the 'club' - but we figure it keeps her out of trouble!!! The bf is actually the boy in the back...lol everyone guesses my nephew...they just look good together I guess. He just left for Marietta college this past weekend...he's a really good kid. What kind of cottage cheese do you buy?? I've tried looking at the low-fat because of Stillmans...but it still seems kinda high...maybe it's me. ![]() ttyl |

Hi guys may I join you?
I'm not new to OWL but never tried Stillmans. I have a family trip to china in two months and I'm really really needing to drop a lot of weight. I have about 40lbs to drop overrall. Chinese people are really biased about big people because there just aren't that many around really. My family don't mean to be hurtful but already they're making comments about my weight over the phone. I don't know if it's possible to drop 40lbs in such a short time, but 20 would be nice.

Lisa,
She's a fastpitch pitcher and first base. We've been all through az, ca, nv, and oklahoma for a tournament during the college world series. She's 11 yo I get my cottage cheese at costco it's like 5 bucks for a huge tub.. it's the 2% the carbs vary quite a bit by % and brand I think mine is 4 grams for a cup |

Welcome luckylychee,
If theres a plan to lose 40 lbs on it's stillmans but that kind of weight loss typically takes quite a bit longer and most people can't stay on stillmans for more than a week or so. If i were you i would do stillmans for 10 days off two days and repeat post your daily menu it really helps and drink water (10 glasses a day) guess how your fat leaves your body......ewww |

Hi Slatman (Daniel is it?)
I was intrigued by your comment about gaining weight on salads. I haven't ever found anyone else that happens to. I tried a while back to go mostly all vegetable with minimal light meats (chicken, turkey, tuna, hardly any red) & no dairy (I have a slight milk intolerance but still able to eat some cheeses), plus no fruit as my system just doesn't seem to take it well, and no carbs, and no sugar. I was surprised that by even watching closely what I ate, and got down to where I was using almost no dressing of any kind, nor vinegar, nor oils, that I still couldn't lose the weight, in fact I was gaining and wondered at that. I've found that my modified Stillman's still works the best. I have to modify it because I can't tolerate the strictest form (I fail and cheat), so I've kind of blended it a bit, so maybe in fact it has components of Stillman's, South Beach and Atkins, who knows. I haven't eaten fast food for I don't know how long....we just don't include that in our lifestyle at all. I've found that when I do I feel sick immediately after, must be the grease!!!! I do better as well without eating any yeast type products or sugar. I love chocolate and cakey things but really have to save those for special times, unless I want to throw my system in a whirl. Exercise for me is basically stretching and some plain old exercises at this point. I have some heat intolerance as well so am waiting for cooler weather to go out and walk, that's what helped so much last time I did the diet. Just sharing, thanks for listening, have a great day! Actually I was a bit concerned about uh..constipation due to a complete lack of vegetables on stillmans.
Also... no cooking oil at all? Not even a sprinkling of olive oil? I hate using my grill because it's such a mess to clean up. ![]() |

Jane,
you will for sure pay for eating the fast food with a stall and sick almost flu like helps keep you on track just thinking about it. luckylychee, I cook on the grill sunday nights for the whole following week and stick some things in the fridge and some things in the freezer in individual servings... then I only clean the grill once and I don't feel like I'm cooking every night |

Congrats on the 7lb loss; just not fair that men lose quicker than women...lol
Do you eat more beef or chicken...do you find if you eat more of one than the other it makes a difference?? I like the grillin on the weekend... everything tastes so good on it. Have you ever added hidden valley ranch (dry packets) into your burgers - if you make them yourself? I love the taste of them... I don't know if the dressing is 'allowable' for Stillmans. I can't believe you've travelled that extensively for your daughter...just because she's so young...I know I travel for my older daughter, WV, KY but they weren't too far from home. She must be an awesome player...i'm guessin scholarship in her future!!! Sorry you have to miss happy hour...but it will payoff in the long run!!! Could you go and just drink water??? highly doubtful?! I know it would be hard... Talk to you later Lisa |

It's (softball) pretty serious business in az with Candrea and the cats (the team shows up at our practices and gives private lessons to the girls)
it definately breaks open the piggy bank to the tune of 12k + a year I make the burgers myself just adding my own version of the outback steakhouse seasoning... I lose fastest on meat and love meat so it's no problem to stay on for awhile. I'll be at the batting cage for happy hour with my diet dr. pepper... Have a great weekend ladies! |
