Hope y'all don't mind that I started the new thread and gave us a new name since so many folks have been busy over the holidays.

Uggh, as y'all can see I had to change my stats.........Up 6 pounds over the holidays, guess it's not too bad but I would have prefered NO GAIN.

Today starts my "NO CHEAT UNTIL GOAL" marathon...........can't wait to see how long it will take me with absolutely no cheats what so ever. Then I'll be kicking myself that I didn't do this sooner..........

Also the exercise starts back today........ohh vey!!!!!!!!

Going to pop over to fitday, then I'll check back in.

OMG........funny story, DD (she will be 13 in March) just came out of the bathroom from weighing and she comes out screaming and dancing and says.......WOOOHOOO, I'm FINALLY 80 pounds, I said "Is that good or bad", she says "that's good, I've been stuck at 75 pounds forever".........OMG, I remember the days I wanted to gain weight (all through my teens and early 20's) now if I could only STOP IT!!!!!!!!!

Bless her heart!!!!!!!!

She has vowed to eat "heathly" for 2007!!!!

Hi Karen,

I'm back!!! Your're not alone. I just can't believe that I could gain 4lbs overnight. It has to be water weight...Right? Oh my goodness, I was doing pretty good doing this holiday season, not losing but not gaining either until last night I went on a finger food-frenzy. We had a fondue party, and I guess I dipped 1 too many treats.
I have to go , but I'll be back later.

Ok, I've not changed my stats but I will claim a 2 pound gain. I'm not crying about it but have plans of it going away soon!!
Got the cottage cheese back out this morning and holding my breath for purple pee!! Well....just the stick turning purple. Might have to see a Dr. if I actually peed purple!
I hope you all are revved up for a great 2007!! I'm still working out my goal strategy for the first month or so. I'm thinking 25 Pounds by valentines day....may be too optimistic unless I start moving my tail in some form of exercise.
Gotta shop now....my fav thrift store is having a 1/2 off day today on EVERYTHING

I'm not starting hardcore till after my birthday (1/11), but I'm really going to try to keep it as reasonable as possible till then.

I hope I'm not talking out of turn, but Laura's (Hoops) sister (xfatchick) posted in the CC Lounge that their mother died the other night. for Laura and her family.

Karen - Why didn't you tell me your DD was trying to gain weight? I would have gladly donated some excess.

Sorry, I had to leave so abruptly, the kids were calling. That always seems to happen when I get on the computer. Well,that was very painful...as you can see I changed my stats, I know I need to be accountable so I did it the first big move of the year. I would love to see the 140's by my birthday (in 11days) sooo I really need to stick to this plan. I think if I can get my cravings under control, I might ... just might do a fast. I've never done one before, but I keep reading how some of you here have done them with much success. So, all of you experts out there, I need some advice or any input or support. Thanks you guys

Just got back from my Uncles farm......been there since Saturday!!!! It is WAY back in the middle of nowhere and it was very peaceful Aliyah and James (her friend and my workout buddies son) went down there Friday and Robin and I went down there Saturday afternoon when I got off work. I really didn't intend to stay as long as we did but it was fun. The kids played on the 4-wheelers and got muddy and fed the cows and all the dogs and cats......not sure how many cats......maybe 30?

Michele Yum chinese food, me likes it but the salt in it don't like me, I almost ate some Saturday but didn't, thank goodness cause the number on the scale this morning was bad enough.

Livvi Yeppers, 4 pounds over night and more, I've done it a ton of times, especially finger foods and things (they tend to be salty).

Angela I need to check out the thrift stores, but I'm waiting a while, you should have seen the lines of people dropping off things for the end of the year tax write off.........it was crazy around here.

Jennifer Yeah tell me about donating extra poundage....... , I don't think she actually wants to gain weight so much as grow taller (she is very petite for almost 13) and she feels that if she "shoots" up in height that will automactically mean she has to gain some weight...........I don't know guess that's a pre-teens way of thinking....

Thank you for mentioning my mom. We don't know the cause, but she was very congested with mucus and gasping for air. My sister performed CPR while waiting on the ambulance, although God wanted her with him and she is no longer with us. I was out of town when she passed away so suddenly, although flew back early. My son returns home this evening from his father's and has not been told yet. His father first offers to come out to be there for both of us, although refused to send him home early and even turned off my son's phone until tonight when he flies home. JERK! I want to tell my son in person, for he is an extremely emotional and loving 11 yo, and he adores his grandma so much. Please pray for him to quickly find peace.

Laura somehow I missed this......I am so sorry about your loss....I cannot imagine not having my mother......losing my father was the hardest thing I have ever been thru and we were not close. Losing a parent is hard. My thoughts and prayers are with both you and your son thru this time.......I pray God will give you strength to get thru

Good Morning All,

When it rains it pours.........water pipe let loose under the bathroom sick, everything soaked and I had a very important appointment this morning and nearly had to go with wet hair. Was able to get Susan before she left for work and she brought me a blow dryer, may take days for mine to dry out, it was dripping..........

Ahhhh it's good to be back at work!! No, I've not lost my mind. I've just needed my routine back. I'm happily sitting in my cushy chair, sipping my crystal light (grape today) and finding LC support throughout my day via LCF who could ask for more??
My family will be glad I'm back in a routine too. They might have clean clothes and a path through the house to walk around now. I was nuttin' but lazy while off for the holidays. I did pick up the couch cushions my dd threw about. But I ended up laying on them soon after!

My son took the loss of my mom very hard. I got him a laptop for Christmas, so as soon as we got home he asked to put a picture of nana (4 generation picture from Christmas day) on his computer. That was the last day we both saw her. After he put it on there, he just stared at the picture with crying eyes for about 5 minutes.

I am not dieting at all. I have gained some weight back, too, although I just don't care at all at this moment. I will pick myself up and get back on track soon. I am congested and have a snot nose, so a fast would be perfect especially given mom. I always feel closer to the Lord when I fast, so perhaps that would bring me the peace I am looking for.
