Can I join you?

I've been lurking for a while, so want to join in. I started yesterday and lost 2 pounds yea Planning on doing this for two weeks, as it is gruesome! I miss my cream, butter and Atkins WOE. Hopefully this will make me accountable.

Any idea for good meals on the WOE?

As for 'meals' on Stillman's QWL....meat meat and more meat Oh yeah, and a little egg mixed with your meat!
I do use ff mayo in moderate amounts to mix with hard boiled eggs or chicken to moisten it up. It has a few more carbs but a LOT less fat.
Deviled eggs are the most complex thing I eat on Stilllmans LOL If you count that as a 'meal', you're good to go!

Maybe someone else has a better game plan than I do????

Years ago, I used to go all out with Stillmans…..if you melt your allowable cheese (ff cottage is my cheese of choice) slowly in a sauce pan it turns into something like milk with a few little rubbery particles in it (desperate times I tell ya). To that you can whisk in your egg for a creamy pudding consistancy…..add salt & pepper and call it gravy, add splenda & vanilla and call it pudding LOL I used to add s&p and canned chicken and called it “Chicken-a-la-Stillmans” (I’m so witty )

The reason I say “used to” is because if I have a lot of flavor in front of me, I’m gonna eat it! By making Stillmans less ‘gruesome’ also makes it less effective IMO. The point is to switch OFF the hunger. Stick to the simple stuff as long as you can.

Karen.. thanks... and congrats on the whoosh you will be in the 180s in no time... How was Madelyn last night

Angela... you are soo right about a salad... tastes sweet and crunchy and well wonderful.... I love my foods simple... I did gain a continuing severe dislike for cottage cheese.... on Stillmans

Missing Melly Super Duper.... you and yours are ok dokie..

Kcjudy.. you are in the right place.... stick with Stillmans and you will be thin...

Livvi.. on you cheat free days.... track them... Thanks to all for the warm welcome..... Warm is great! It was 1 degree here in Kansas City yesterday morning when I left for work!!! A whole 10 degrees this morning. But the good news is I lost another 2 pounds yesterday. This makes 4 pounds since Monday, 1/15/07.
Menu was 2 eggs, scrambled in Pam, Turkey B for a snack, Foreman grilled burger w/1 tsp Heinz 1 carb catsup for lunch, HB egg snack and for dinner yet another burger!! And five 32 glasses of water. Boring, I love to cook.... That's what makes this hard for me. I'm a huge foodie. Love Linda Sue's recipes. You mention cheese, can we have that on QWL? I love your humor, Mom2Daisy. Think I'll go by Costco and get shrimp, don't think I can do a fish filet on the Foreman. Are you talking fresh shrimp or do they sell it as cocktail with the sauce, Crohnie? Good luck to all today, I know we'll all take off a pound or two!!!!

Hello Jewels.........down to 196.5...........

I'm whooshing all over the place!!!!!!!!!

Little Miss Madelyn Grace is 100% better this morning, mom and I just went to the hospital to see her. They will keep her until tomorrow late afternoon or early evening because that is when some of the cultures will be done growing or not growing.

kcjudi Yes Stillman's can be boring but it works so well and so quickly!!!

Pam I'm 5'8" as well and I love it because you don't look as "fat" as you are when you are taller.

Angela Are y'all expecting the ice and sleet in Bama? We are here in Georgia starting tonight into tomorrow morning.........me thinks we need snow if it's going to be this cold...........running to pull out my new heater.

Debi Blow some snow down to Georgia...........please

livvi two days no cheating.........keep it up girlie!!

Michele Howdie, yep you'll be in the 50's in no time.....my final goal will be 145-150 (5'8" too) and I looked darn good at 165 but you couldn't tell me that then, this time I'll apperciate it when I get there.

Hiya to all that follows............yep I'm thinking that Melly is frozen in......Hurry back Melly.

Intruder alert, lol!

Just wanted to post here to say that Melly appears to still be without power, in case some of you were wondering. Someone tried to call her and her phone is out too. Wish her warm thoughts, please.

Poor poor Melly

Karen, it appears all our moisture came before the freezing temps. Rats! I want some snow too....Waaaaaa They are talking flurries around Sunday but nothing major. I live in the northern part of AL.

kcjudi, I'm a huge foodie too.......as in hugely overweight and LOVE food! I'm not a food snob though. I'm a poor girl. Give me a little debbie and a diet coke and I'm happy as a pig in a mud puddle. Seriously, I do like to cook too. I just get WAY too creative. And I'm such a fine cook and all that I tend to eat the whole dish. That's why my 6' tall DH is skinny as a rail!! I'm better at portion control when I only cook one portion at a time.

(YES, I visited the smiley site! Couldn't help myself.)

Speaking of food......I may have died and gone to veggie heaven! I had a cup of stir fry veggies (great value brand @ WM, 3 carbs, 1 fiber) stir fried in a smidgit of butter. Oh.... My.... Goodness! I love you all to pieces, and you couldn't get rid of me if you tried.....but I'm gonna eat lc veggies for a while with my lean meats. I'm gonna leave my WOE as Stillmans because I don't know what to call what I'm eating now But it's very low carb/lower fat. My body is already thanking me for this addition. (I was worried for a while that my plumbing didn't work anymore )

I guess I better get back to work. Need to read and prepare my lesson for tonight too! Nothing like a procrastinator

Hey girls and guy.....I am at work for a minute and thought I would pop in.......no power here.....FREEZING COLD TEMPERATURES!!!!!!! No school til at least Tuesday. This place looks like a war zone!!!! The damage is so severe that words cannot describe.....I have taken some pictures that I will post sometime in the future. We finally left our house Monday.....it just got too cold to spend another night in there. Lost all our food but it could be worse. We went to my uncles which is about 1 1/2 hours from my house back in the country on the farm. Not sure when we can come home.....as cold as it is we are going to have to have power before we can even think about it. I can get online at my uncles but I have tried to post and am having problems with my posts going thru but I am reading

Darrell is staying in Springfield....brought him back today to get back to work and I am headed back to my uncles. He will be working and staying with a friend that has power. My brothers family is staying with my sister and we packed up my mom and Aliyah and Reesey and went to my uncles.

We are fine but getting a bit stressed and frustrated. I will check in when I can.......thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Angela............I'm in East Central Georgia and they have already delayed some of the local schools by 3 hours tomorrow because of the expected ice and I hope..............SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! We are actually right on the edge or border when you watch the weather channel of the impending storm.

Melly I feel your pain.........in January of 2003 we had a huge ice storm here and we were without power 4 days........had to stay with a relative that had power, of the entire family only one person had power......I know that living where you live it's much worse..............

Brrrrr!!! It's cold here.

Day 3 going strong....NO CHEATS!!!

Pam- You are such an inspiration, I am slowly getting to that point of losing the cravings. It's been a real struggle, but I've been sooo busy the last 3 days, which has helped to get through those very difficult moments. I want to get back into my size 6's and get to my goal.
Melly- I'm so sorry to hear about that storm. Wow !!! With the weather being so cold, I've actually been moving and exercising more...it helps to keep warm!!!
Karen- You're on fire!!! keep up the great work losing those lbs. So happy to hear little Madelyn is doing well.
Michelle- I'm on a shrimp kick too right now. YUMMY!
Angela-LOVE the smileys!!! I want some cheering smileys when I hit the 140's. HEHE
kcjudi-Welcome, Welcome! I'm with you, I LOVE cook too. But it's amazing what you can come up with using meat, eggs and cottage cheese.

see ya later

Hey guys thanks for the well wishes. Other than being very frustrated and feeling a bit overwhelmed we are really doing fine. It is definitely cold but in comparison to some of the rest of the city that I saw, we are truely blessed. Alot of the older neighborhoods are absolutely destroyed. The ones with the really old houses and trees. I will post pictures at some point in time.....I took alot.

We have been staying at my uncles, in the country. It is about an hour and 1/2 from home. But I have made a trip back to Springfield every day since we have been here. This is day 5 without power. And tonight on the news they are predicting 3 - 6 inches of snow Saturday - Sunday!!! Just what we need......more wet heavy stuff to weigh down the trees and power lines

I am trying not to sound whiney........just frustrated over something that I have absolutely NO control over

Well my eating has not been all that great. I am trying to eat the best I can under the conditions. But it is not like I have my own food and kitchen to do my own cooking. For the most part I have been pretty much on plan but there have been times that it has just been impossible. I have been getting a bit of exercise however......that is a good thing Oh and I had a majorly HUGE cocktail tonight......speaking of which.......I think I will make myself one now and see if anyone is in chat......hope this goes thru this time.....I did some stuff to my uncles computer tonight to see if I could finally get something to post here.....I have been able to read but everytime I try to post I lose it....copying and posting now and crossing my fingers

Morning Ladies!!! And Gent!!!
I have to confess I have some catching up to do on the reading here but was just wondering........H
