Where has Doit been?

I am slowly creeping back to siggy weight and then onward.......I CAN DO THIS!!!!!

Hubby went to the grocery store with me this morning.....it is nice to have him go but I always spend more money when he is with me

I have a problem......one I am going to have to deal with head-on!!!!! My daughter is eating everything in sight!!!! I have been trying to be sensative because I know all too well how that feels from my own experience. But if she continues she is going to have a weight problem and I will not stand by and watch that happen. So this morning I bought some things that are not lowcarb, she is too young to lowcarb, but just healthier choices for her. I know she is not going to be happy when I talk to her about it but that unhappiness cannot compare to how you feel when you are overweight. I am also going to encourage her to workout with me......not at the gym but walking the dog and things like that. She is very active as she plays volleyball but she is predisposed to weight issues as it tends to run in my family and it breaks my heart to think of her having to go thru what I did

Good Sunday Afternoon Jewels,

MIL is somewhat better the past two days but we still go and check on her and make sure she is eating. She will get her new dentures tomorrow so that will help some (I hope).

Today it is yucky.............raining, raining, and oh yeah raining.........

Yesterday was a dream.....so sunny and we hit a high of 75.........beautiful, now did I mention it's raining, raining, raining..........

Just got my walk in closet floor carpet put back down, DH had to replace the padding and dry out carpet, all of this from when the sink sprung a horrible leak last Mon. night. Everything from the closet floor is out in the middle of my bedroom.

Here is hoping that the person that put a curse on me gives me a break soon.... It really has been a rough few months with illness and the house and cars falling apart.

And on top of it all TOM decides to show up Sat. (2 days early), so I haven't weighed yet, probably will try and weigh tomorrow but it'll still be pretty heavy.

Good news is STILL CHEAT FREE!!!!!!

TO ALL THE LOSERS!!!!!!!!! Y'all rock.

And hello to everyone else, got to go and put all the things back in the closet.

Good morning all! I managed to make it through the weekend cheat free! That is great for me, as weekends are my hardest. So I've made it cheat free for three days. I think that is a good start. Now if I can just keep it going. I am doing basic Atkins induction right now. I may slide back into Stillman's at a later time. Right now I am just trying to get the cravings under control.

I must get back to work now. I'll try to check back in later. I hope everyone has a great day!

Well it sounds like everyone is doing great!!!! Staying on track is half the battle

My weekend ended last night with me getting a call from Atlas Security that my Grandma had fallen and could not get up (just like the commercial) so I went over there and there she was sitting on the floor. Nothing is broken but her tailbone hurts and she had a lump on the back of her head.....she is 89 so we thought we should take her to get it checked out just to be safe.....she is fine but sore this morning!!!

The gym was great this morning. I stepped up the cardio to 40 minutes on the eliptical and then did some lower body weights. Getting closer and closer to siggy weight

to whom ever asked... it was all water... no juice.. but induction 5 or less carbs works so well, and stillmans I have never done it again... eat meat.... low fat fish and treat your self to thin in no time....

Howdy Ho Neighbors
I'm committing to a cheat free Stillman's QWL week. (I'll start with 7 days and play it by ear after the week is up ) I'm talkin' nothing oily or even green. I'm pretty low carb now....but dang those nuts!! I'm thinking of starting a challenge just for us squirrels that can sniff out a nut a mile away!! I can't stop at just one or one spoonful of peanut butter. It lures me into it's web of deciet whispering sweet nothings into my ear. "I'm low carb, eat all of me you'd like." LOL

I'm having a Monday First, I walked into the bathroom here at work, glanced in the mirror on my way to potty and found myself asking (no one in particular) "Why did your family let you out of the house in that sweater???" I have always liked bright green....but never have I felt it made me look sickly?!?! <<it's actually the same color as this guy!! Then, came out of the stall and as I was washing my hands discusted with my verde hue I noticed a butt load of dandruff down the part of my very dark hair?!?! I've not had dandruff since high school. I quickly found a pony tail holder and secured the flakes undernieth!! THEN to top it all off....had the nut job citizen call that kept me on the phone for 30 minutes asking all sorts of questions EXCEPT the whole reason for the call. When I finally confronted the point without saying exactly WHAT DO YOU WANT??? She says "Oh, thanks for your time. Bye."

Ok...enough ranting. I've had my cottage cheese for Breakfast and intend on having skinless smoked chicken for lunch (skinless cuz I ate all the skin off already!! LOL Smoked chicken skin rocks! ) Dinner will probably be shrimp or baked fish.
I'll try to get a new attitude at lunch and come back chipper!

Hi there! Thank you all for your support during this time that I am a wreck. You've all been awesome during other times when I was struggling, too. Thank you so much!

After losing mom to coronary heart disease last month, my uncle to it 2 months ago, almost losing dad to it 16 months ago, losing my grandpa to it in the last year... I realize I am at a huge risk. Fortunately, I had the bloodwork taken a few months ago which showed me doing just fine, however I know I need to get them better. Coronary heart disease does not have to happen, for it has more to do with lifestyle than anything else. So, I need to change the way I eat to a plant based diet.

I may check back with you all from time to time. You are all SO WONDERFUL!!!! I know we can conquer the excess weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle to increase longevity.

Laura ~ First of all, to you. I know you are going through a really rough time right now. Secondly, please don't leave. We are all here to support one another no matter what plan we are on. We all have the same common goals, to lose weight and be healthy. Switch to whatever plan you want to , but please don't leave.

Laura I know how hard it is to lose your parent. All I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and make people leave me alone (heck I'm still trying to get away with that 4 months later). It's a shame life won't stand still for us when we really need it to just STOP. Just know, no matter what you eat, you still have people here that care I'd like ya even if you ate a little debbie cake right in front of me Besides, I still haven't made that ground jerky....I may need your help .

On a lighter note.....justice has been served!!<EG> At least I feel a little better now. Nut job lady called back while I was on lunch and got to talk to one of my coworkers(for another 30 minutes) He's one of those coworkers that seem to get out of everything unscathed! Muhahaha not this time sweetie! I almost had pity on him. But about the time I was going to tell him his 12 o'clock appointment was here in a loud voice....she hung up!
I'm pretty rotten today When someone else's misery makes me laugh....I need to pray! LOL

Chello Jewels.........here I sit 8 days into the New Year and I'm down 8 pounds, now I'm liking that!!!!!!! For Shizzle (In my best Snoop Dogg voice).

Finally got MIL's teeth in her mouth today, here is hoping she doesn't lose these anytime soon.

And finally got all the stuff back in the closet floor, minus some crap I no longer needed.

And I'm still cheat free..........so all is good at the moment in Karen-Land!!!

Melly for your grandma, mine is 89 also, will be 90 in March and still living by herself, she is actually alot better off than my MIL who is 79.

Laura Hugs to you and your son........yes do stay with us, I'm doing Stillman's with an added salad at times, probably could call it Atkins 72' induction. But who cares, this is the longest I've ever stayed with one challenge group so now I'm not leaving........... .

Angela If laughing at others misery (and only the ones that deserve it don't you know) calls for prayer, I'd be praying non-stop........

Susan Glad to see you posting again and for being cheat free for 3 days, I do know how much of a struggle it is for you, but I also know that if you can get several days under your belt you seem to be able to stay cheat free for quite a while.

Another 40 minutes on the eliptical this morning. Why is it some mornings it is so easy and others it isn't? I was ready to get off that thing at 4 minutes And then again at 9.........I made it the full 40 minutes but this morning was rough!!!!!

Eating is good and exercise is good.......ready for some changes on the scale!!!!
