Congrats on the BMI rate good luck on the 15 pounds bye the end of Dec. edit: I am shooting for at least 10 pounds every month, dont really expect more, knowing how my body is!

Now of course I forget the name of who was asking the fasting questions, but I think you should just stick to Stillmans for a bit and see how u do before jumping into fasting, take ur time and read the info for a few weeks, theres plenty of fasting info if u do a search for the threads called "Make it fast" or "making it fast-" shoot I forget!

I did my 2-7 day fasts even though I never should have(diabetic), and there was no way I could break a fast with fruits, I would have been in a coma, and since I dont like veggies, I did meat & eggs, but thats not how its suppose to be done!

Hoops, yes trying the repetition diets this week ! The banana one sounds so yummy, but I just cant go there with my Blood sugars, I gotta have some protein with my meals. The egg one sounds like its not enough food (3 total a day ) and the all meat one is confusing cause I think 8 ounces(1/2 lb) a meal sounds like too much compared to the others calorie wise.

with that said, yesterday I ate 3 ounce sirloin burgers(grilled) 2 times yesterday and 2 servings of sugar free jello..I am back down 2 more pounds from the mysterious gain earlier this week.
Off to volunteer at school today.
Happy Friday everyone!

thanks For the info on the fasting, it sounds too scary for me. Im going to stick to stillmans, however ive been on it a week and lost 9 lbs, but I messed up last week and had a piece of pizza and some sweet chili heat dorritos..my oh my they are delicious....I tend to go a strict week then have one day where all I want to do is pig out..so its back on the bandwagon again today....
My goal for decemeber is to be down to 150 by Dec. 25th. That is approx 15 lbs. +-

Hi everyone! I am back! For the past few weeks I just haven't been able to get my act together. I have fallen off of the wagon and been run over by it. But now I am back and want to get this weight off. Coming here helps to keep me accountable.

I don't have any specfic goal number for this month. I just want to lose as much as I can. My jeans are starting to get tight and I don't like that at all.

Hi to all the new folks. I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

I'll try to check back in later. Have a great day everyone!

Edited to add that I had to change my stats, and I am not a happy camper. I am so ashamed. Well, today is a brand new day and so far I haven't screwed up yet!

Morning all.
Down one more pound this a.m. Wouldn't it be nice if we could continue losing a pound a day. ::::dreaming::::
I'd do better if I incorporated a little exercise. I'll probably have to lose a little more before the knees don't hurt.
Going shopping with Mom today.....she always wants to eat Mexican or Chinese on these shopping dates. I'm sacking a few boiled eggs and hopefully deter her from eating out.

Stayed on my menu plan for yesterday.
Today's gourmet menu is as follows:
B: Nothing....slept in
L: Talapia fillets
S: Boiled egg (1 or 2)
D: steak or chicken

TTFN
Angela

Keep warm everyone. Especially you guys that are fasting. I FREEZE to death on a fast. But it is very beneficial for the body and spirit!

Hi Everyone.............Happy December!!!!!!

Weather here in Georgia is CRAZY.........I've had the air cond. on for 2 days now. It's 73 degrees here and was 75 yesterday..........WTH????

Well my fast lasted about 14 hours............ I think I was just too carbed up to go straight to fasting............so I'm going to ease into it with a few strict days of Stillman's first.

Slatman Sounds like you are doing well on your fast........WTG!!! I'll have to do that in a few days due to the above statement.......

Sis Glad to see you posting again..........I'm really struggling too, it stinks.

Hi to everyone else...........I need to go back and read the last of Novembers thread and today's. For some reason lately I'm having alot of problems logging in.

BBL...............

Ok, Mexican it was. BUT, we split an order of fajitas and I only ate the chicken and shrimp. Probably a little more oil than I'm used to. I had to 'go' as soon as we got home. NO CARBS!! wooo hooo I'm usually a chip-a-holic at the mexican joints. I feel as if I won this battle.

Karen,
That's at least 14 hours you didn't eat carbs. Someone once told me if you begin a fast, you are not a failure if you stop it sooner than planned. How many people out there never fast at all? Some folks will think you're nuts for even thinking of going without food for more than 5 hours!!. So pat yourself on the back for the 14 hours. Right now I don't have a fasting bone in my body!! Ha

Later,
Angela

Getting over a stomach virus I picked up last week. Feeling better, but still going to stick to carb monitor soup for the next few days. The thought of anything else makes me

Michele - congrats!

I lost 10.2 pounds for the month of November... and there was a Holiday in there. I didn't fast as much as I should have either.

Tonight I ate 4 pieces of pizza, two chicken wing, one hawian, and one regular with pepperoni, mushroom, and onion. 6 chicken wings... 1 big piece of cake and 2 scoops of ice cream.

I had a big salad for lunch.

Doesn't bother me eating this way everyone in a while... not like I do it often. I'm fasting tomorrow till the next morning. Last I had to eat was at 9:30pm Friday night.

I haven't posted in a while but I've been reading your posts.....with the holidays here and Mom and Dad in the nursing home this year I've been in a really blah mood anyway my calories and carbs have been low but the weight is coming off slow.....I'll lose and then 1/2 of it comes back thats they way it's always been

Chronie those kittens they're adorable......one of our cats (he's 16 yrs old) has just started limping on his left front leg so we'll have to take him to the vet to see whats going on

Doit that pizza sounds yummy.....I was so disappointed in the last pizza that we ordered from Caseys blech.....I only had one piece..I don't want anymore for a long long time, usually it is so good to

I'm going to go see Mom and Dad tomorrow so I'll check in after I get back home to see if you guys are being good

Rita

Hopeing to get to 149 by Christmas but a loss of 15lbs would be good too :-) I need to start exercising I guess. :-(

I'm sorry My kitty was diagnosed with CRF 2 years ago when she was 12. She eats her prescription food and I give her subQ fluids every other day and she's doing fine. She'll be my last kitty since DH is allergic.

Good morning.... 118 again this morning.... ahhh

Rita... so sorry you are feeling blah... I fight depression.. constantly..
the dramas of life get me down... recently I have been struggling to live in the moment... forgetting about the past and not worrying about the future..
simply enjoying the moment... sunset... a smile, petting my dogs...

I have found it a good habit.. and move back to it when my life closes in around me... hugs...

Melly thinking of you and DH... and your mom... we need an update...

missing any meal is a fast... when I was losing, most days I only ate 2 times...

Getting late here and have to get going... mom's day to go shopping and do her errands... lots to do before I leave....

Have a great day all...

I want 114 by Christmas... my present to me.... yes.... getting and maintaining thin is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me....

and it was a gift only I could treat myself to.... treat yourself to thin too...
you deserve it...

Hi ladies, cute kittens......not sure what the CRF is all about since im not a cat person, but losing any pet is awful
DOIT..hope the birthday party was great for ur girl!
Rita...never too late to get back on track!
Slatman...3 days of fasting is nothing to frown about, good job

Thursdays meals- 3 ounces of grilled sirloin x 2 meals,2 servings of s/f jello
Friday's meals-3 ounces of grilled sirloin x 2 meals, and 2 servings of s/f jello

Even with that lil bit of food for the 3rd day straight, I am back UP another 1/2 pound, Tom still has not shown! This is getting depressing, Stillman said, the repetition diets would produce a 1-2 pound lost per day!

Down 2 more today. I guess the fajitas weren't that bad of an idea. I did vary off my menu but it was a few small pieces of beef jerky for a snack.

Michele - The kitties are precious! I am a cat person. My husband is not. We have two outside cats now and believe it or not, I think he's coming around. He fixed them a little lean-to on the car port under a lamp last night.

I'm off to grout tile. We are in the final stages of a complete remodel. (1yr 3 mo. so far) I can see light at the end of the tunnel!! (no money in the wallet....but light at the end of the tunnel!)

TTFN
Angela

Today:
B: Cottage cheese cinnamon and splenda
S: egg
L: grilled beef fillet
S: jerky or egg
D: more beef or chicken

I meant to ask you all....do you eat beef jerky on stillmans? Technically it's just dried steak but I didn't know if the seasonings mess with anything.
