Candy! I mean I realized I was eating candy all through the day but I haven't had to refill the candy dish near as often since I started LCing! I have also learned I have more will power than I first thought I did. Candy dish sits on MY desk here at the office! Dang coworker brought hersheys minis yesterday.

Ok, evil streak is over for now. The guys I works with have consistantly left me alone to read my book. I'll give them a break with the candy.

I've heard several of you talk of your Moms and just wanted to put a plug in for mine She's the best. Today right before I went to lunch she called and had a gift to bring me. The Christmas sweater I had been eyeing for a while but couldn't bring myself to buy. She got it for 50% off + another 20% at the register. Did I mention she is one smart shopper too!!
I'm hoping and praying she'll join me on the Low Carb bandwagon after the holidays. Our whole family are a "jolly" bunch. As in "shakes like a bowl full of jelly" My Dad passed away in August and we all awoke to the realization of how bad all this extra weight is. Procrastinators as we are, we have just kinda hem-hawed about losing weight. Mom did join Curves
I'm trying to lead by example for her and my sister. A lot riding on this deal!! I also want to be a better role model for my daughter. She already talks of being fat. I know childhood obesity is at it's all time high but my daughter isn't overweight. She gets a muffin top over her pants after eating but the belly is flat again after digestion. There's just nowhere for the food to go but out on a tiny little body!! 7 yr olds shouldn't be obsessed with body fat should they? I keep thinking if I were a little slimmer she wouldn't look at me wondering if she will look like this when she is grown up.
Ok, rambling is over for now. Back to my book. I love my job!!

I might have to bow out of this thread. I'm so into eating healthy that not trying to tell everyone here that meat and eggs isn't the way to go, is bothering me. I know I just told ya that, but I felt I needed to explain. I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and an even better New Year.

I love all of you and I won't subject you to my thoughts on eating.

I think you should stay. I cannot eat any of the stuff you are eating because my Crohns cannot tolerate it. Keep up the good work and keep posting your food and weight losses

[quote=idioglossic;7828801]Hi all

Debi... hold on and yes the lbs will drop all at once...keep on track./I noticed thanks to Doit that the meat rep was 8 oz 3 times you were doing 3 oz if I remember right... you need to go.... if you know what I mean... use something if you have to... and do not lose faith...

This is the things DOIT< and I were talking about, I dont think the Repition diet really meant 1/2 lb -3 times a day, I think they meant 1/2 TOTAL eaten over a period of 3 meals. and heres why:
8 ounces of lean sirloin eaten 3 times(total 24 ounces) =1,326 calories(8 oz=442 calories

and one of the other rep.diets: one egg eaten 3 times a day=231 calories
another is: 1 banana eaten 3 times=279 calories.

the rep diet is based on VERY low calories!!! too low for most

December Dolls

I am taking today off work. My neck/back was so stiff yesterday, that I am hoping to make it to my chiropractor some time today.

MIchele~ Nice on your BMI! You can make goal! Cute little kittens!

Debi~ How are your repetitions going now? You just don't have much to lose, so maybe that is why you aren't realizing the loss he wrote about?

Amy~ Nice loss last week for your first week of Stillmans QWL!

Susie~ So nice to see you! You can do it!

Susan~ There are two of you now, so this is intended for FOUND. You can make 15 being strict.

Pammy~ You have such a marvelous attitude. Good point about fasting, we all do it every single day. The more hours in between meals, the better. SIZE 2 are LOOSE?

Slat~ Git er done. Now there is the man! Good job on your fast. Can you post a picture of your lights?

Angela~ I'd love to lose a pound a day, too. Count me in! You did WELL at the Mexican food place. I chips and guacamole and beans and salsa.... I ate beef jerky I made myself out of 4% fat hamburger in a dehydrator the first month of Stillman's. I haven't really had the desire for it lately.

Doit~ Hey, nothing stopped us from telling you to exercise, because we know that exercise is essential for a healthy body. So, you certainly can share about eating raw with us.

Jennifer~ Are you feeling any better?

Rita~ I need to start exercising, too.

Melly~ DJ and mom seem to be doing much better than anticipated! No worries where your weight jumped to. What matters is your losing.

Anna~

Mel~

Chantel~ It is good to see you!

Dead monkey
Most of the time I dont even feel like I have to go, its just the scale isnt going down and I "know" I havent gone. I find most men feel like "going" is a daily requirement or death will happen

That said, I ate some s/f free cookies, had major gas for hours, "some" has now come out but not really much.

I am still taking fiber choice tablets daily, and magnesium, it just isnt enough. Like I have said in the past, my usual is once about every 3 days.

I need some sleep, got one coat of paint on all of where needed(except behind our huge puter desk.) worked(my paying job !!) all night, as soon as sons bus comes I am off to dreamland!

Welcome Chantel
Doit, stay here and chat with us when you can, or we will miss you !

OK everyone have a great day!!!

Doit you can't leave us.......I won't have it......and it is all about ME...if you don't believe it look at my avitar I am gald that you share how you are eating and how it is working for you....you can't argue with success. I don't think any of us here are eating the same or following the same plan......we are really here for the support. And to be honest I am eating somewhat just like you are. I got back on plan Sunday, whatever plan it is that I am following, and I am losing....226.5 this morning. That is 9.5 lbs since Sunday!!! All I have been eating is salad, celery and ranch dressing, apples and I had scrambled eggs once. I think I was really carbed up but it is melting away.

Ice? ughhhhhhhh Well it is still here. It melted quite a bit yesterday but there is still so much of it and the temperatures are not helping!!!

I drove to pick up my son last night and the drive was amazing!!!! It was a full moon and the moon was dancing off the snow on the fields and the lakes.....it was beautiful!!!!

No weight to report today. I stayed at the new house last night and my scales are at the old house. But.....I FEEL GOOD!! da da da da da da da I feel skinnier today if that counts. It's really the first time since I started that I actually "feel" like I've lost 7 pounds.
Food for today:
B-Cottage Cheese**
S-Egg (maybe maybe not)
L-Steak
D-Smoked Turkey or Steak

**The grocery was out of FF Cottage Cheese so I got the lowest fat they had, which was 2%. Gosh was is delicious!! I stood in the breakroom this morning at work savoring each creamy -but clumpy bite. I had to laugh at myself....ME savoring cottage cheese!!

Until next time....
Angela

Slatman,
I had to laugh at your milk comment - my DH and I also like it!

Day 1 - 2 pounds gone. Not a bad start.

Gotta get the little one off to school and feed the puppy. Take care everyone.

Mom2Daisy,
lol - feeling skinnier is awesome

Hi Melly,
that moonlight sounded lovely. It was pretty here as well but minus the snow!lol - It might get up to the 80's in the valley today.

Hi Deb! Thanks for the welcome.

Hi to all who check in.
