Traditional = distilled water only
Juice fasting is also very popular disguised as "celebrity diets"

Weight loss is only one benefit of fasting..
you are expelling junk that's been in your body for years and years the more you stink the more nasties you had in you.. I.E. breath, skin, and you know.....

Water fasting means you only drink water!!! Of course I am going to add a couple of cups of herbel tea, cause I get really cold when I water fast.

NO FOOD allowed on this.........it's pretty hard but I've made it 14 days before, not even trying for that long this time. Will be happy with 3, then I'm breaking that fast with fat free cottage cheese only for 1-3 days.

Angela~

Deb~ Are you planning on trying a repetition diet?

Slat~ I'd take the inch loss over the weight loss any day! Wait, a four pound woosh!

Karen~ It will come off. All I lost last month was 2.5 pounds and nothing this month. My loss came the first two months. Oh well.... better than us getting bigger. Glad to have you back.

Melly~ Brrr! Stay warm and be careful out there. Mommy!

Pammy~ You're getting close!

Found~

Fasting~ It is funny you all are talking about fasting. Here I am reading all of this and have a teleconference with Dr. Fuhrman in 30 minutes, yet have to be elsewhere. I will be driving and listening, which saddens me. I will write back later or on Sunday. I am going to be a very busy lady these next couple of days.

My longest fast was 19 days on water only, preferably distilled. Juice fasting is 3 times as slow for detox, so it would take 57 days on juice to get what I did in 19 days last summer of 2005. Anyhow... I have to leave!!!

December Dolls~ I was teasing when I said it, but now it kind of sticks!

I'm neither a hottie or a doll... why not just name the thread>>> Stillman for December?

I can't post anything about the Rep. diets cause I loaned the books to a friend. All I can suggest is you look for the post I did. I'd do it for ya, but I'm really tired and going to bed. Sorry.

182.8 This morning.

My youngest daughter's Birthday is today ... I'm drinking water all day except for tonight... When I have pizza and wings... cake and icecream.

Then you can bet I'll be fasting... Cause I'll be up about 2 pounds of water weight. Just from 1 BAD meal.

I'll let ya know how it went...

Oh... yesterday I had this to eat and lost .6 of a pound...

2 bananas
1 big tossed salad
JUST 1 bite of boxed mac and cheese

Melly sorry about DJ's dad....

Well my 2 cents is to stick to Stillmans... strick...

Because I was a faster... for years... and used it to drop.. weight fast...

But Stillmans let me eat, and small portions of protein.. delisheous..steak, fish, chicken, eggs, why starve...

Stillmans works..... period..

That said... I do believe it getting the weight off... once and for all and keeping it off... for which I use Stillmans....and have kept it off since hitting goal Aug. 2005.

Doit... you are a doll... a sevette one at that!! Congrats on your new low!

Welcome Susan.... Thanksgiving may not have knocked you off as far as you think... just do Stillmans.. strict and post your foods before you eat them and use fitday...

Slatman... shovels are hard to give up...lol....I still have to tell myself to put the fork down.... lol

late as usual...

Karen... get strick... and get those lbs to jump off..

My biggest loss fasting was 19 lbs in 8 days... 148 to 129.. on water.... after the first 24 hours you are no longer hungry... but the smells of food are overwhelming.. as you drive by restaurants... I had lots of energy and worked, drove and played full time...

lator gators... sorry for the crappy spelling... hurrying...

Break a fast with fresh WHOLE fruit. Nothing BUT fresh whloe fruit. If you were to do a long water fast 2 weeks or more then you should break it with FRESH (you squeeze/juice yourself) fruit juice.

http://www.rawfoodexplained.com/ <<< click on This link to learn about water fasting and raw foods.

182.8 this morning

had this to eat yesterday

2 bananas
1 big tossed salad
1 BITE of mac and cheese (boxed)

Today is my youngest daughter's Birthday (8 years old) I plan on eating pizza and wings and cake and icecream... BUT I'm gonna eat nothing till tonight... gonna drink water all day.

Probably be up about 2 pounds of water weight. But I'm gonna fast for 24 to 36 hours on Saturday. So, I should drop it right back off.

ohhhh... NEVER break a fast by eating MEAT after.

I'm not going to hurt my daughter by NOT eating her Birthday dinner and cake... that's one reason...

If you read ALOT of stuff about raw food eating... you'll learn that 100% raw isn't the best way to go. They also tell you that when first starting out to add raw slowly to your diet. I jumped right in... I'm still gonna eat this way for a few times during the year. I'm not doing anything bad to my head... cause if I didn't eat some bad things then I might fall a very long way off that wagon... ya know?
