Hi Hotties!
I haven't been online since I posted Wednesday morning. I've had a great couple of days, and I think I may spend today working on a few things around my house that I've been too busy to finish. Sad about work! ![]() Most of you know I am tired of the politics of teaching. It seems the Dean of Students wants to have a power struggle with me, and she is in the position to write me up. Fortunately, my principal and assistant principal love me and would do about anything for me. Anyway, I left work in tears on Wednesday. I have been teaching 8 1/2 years now. I may try to stick it out to get to 10, because that allows me to get the retirement 5 years earlier at 60 instead of waiting until 65. I just don't know if I can play the game for that much longer. Dad told me 1 1/2 years will go by fast, and I can start getting everything else together while I am sticking it out. I pour a lot of myself into my job, but maybe it is time to focus more energies on other things and my future.

Laura,
Set up a meeting with your union rep, department chair, and the dean and get all your concerns out in the open.. the wife has been through this a few times in the last 18 years of teaching.. |

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the advice, although I am fully prepared mentally and financially to quit for the rest of the year. However, I won't be doing it at our meeting on Monday. I have 3 or 4 weeks of sick time. I may be tired of the BS, but I am not stupid! I love it, yet I am definitely ready for a change of pace and a new challenge. I don't want the challenge to be kissing up to people who don't even matter in the grand scheme of things. The way I see it, the kids are the only people who matter, for we all go to work everyday to help them. Here is the work situation. I give up my lunch (without pay!) to help kids who haven't been doing their work. I had some kids show up 15 minutes into lunch and told me our dean (the one who is trying to write me up) wouldn' let them come to my room. So, I asked the custodian to borrow his radio to verify with her the students' story. She said she held them. I told her they had a laminated pass and were suppose to report directly to my room with their lunch per the principal. Well, I think she doesn't like that I was given this special permission, because she was yelling at my students and wouldn't let them come to my room. Anyway, she is holding a meeting to write me up for my unprofessional conduct, saying I was yelling at her on the radio. Again, I was doing this during my lunch without PAY!!! Maybe the meeting is to thank me for my dedication and hard work. ![]() Melly~ How have you been? You're in my thoughts a lot. Thanks for the support.Slatman~ How has your wife made it in the same profession for 18 years? Thanks for the support. Anyhow... enjoy Vegas! The weather is lovely here, so it will be perfect for softball. Oh, I want a snow cone and hotdog! ![]() Amy~ You joined a fine group of people, who are both kind and supportive. What are your goals?Doit~ You have been doing so well. Those 3 pounds will come right back off! Thanks for the support, as well! ![]() Pammy~ Thanks for the support, too. Sorry you aren't feeling well.Debi~ Working on Thanksgiving is a blessing for the hips! |

Laura I don't kiss butt well either....I know you will find this hard to believe but I tend to be rather outspoken and you never have to guess what is on my mind
Do what you have to do for yourself sweety......I think I would make it a point, however, to mention that you were doing that on YOUR time And you know no matter what you we....we got your back girl!!!! They just don't know.....we can ALL show up in Vegas if need be Pam here is a mommy update...she has her appt with the surgeon this Wednesday and we are hoping that he will allow her to put weight on her leg then. If so they will see how she does with that and then possibly go home the first full week in December......she will still have to use her walker for a while and will have skilled nursing and physical therapy at home for a while but I know she will be glad to get home. I hope you feel better soon sweety ![]() |

This morning I weighed in at 186.4 which isn't much over my siggy. I'm reading and reading all I can on the raw food diets that I can find. I read conflicting things about it. Some say the best way is 100% raw food. Some say 95%. Some say 80%. I don't really know which way is the best. I do think that I will add some steamed veggies (very few) once a day after I get to where I want to be as far as weight goes. I will just keep things going as they have been (having cooked foods on Holidays). I can't wwait till I get my Kefir Grains. They will be in the mail tomorrow. Then I can start making my own and not have to pay $3.19 for a quart. I will get Organic milk, but the only thing is it's pasturized. I want raw milk. I live just up the hill from two farms. Thing is I don't know these people, and I don't want to just go there and say > Hey I live up the hill from you and I'd like to buy some of your raw milk.
I doubt it'd be organic. I have to get in touch with someone to find out where I can get some raw organic milk. Melly...Hope your mom gets good news...

It must be alot of water weight!

I didn't eat bad on Thanksgiving, but I did on Friday and Saturday!
I can see now I eat with stress and as a reward. You know, that what the h*ll attitude when other things seem to be going bad anyway? Anyway, I am back on plan today. So far, so good!Melly~ You're outspoken? Thanks! My stomach gets upset when I am stressed, and I told my principal I wanted it resolved before the 4-day holiday. Anyway, it is unfair to me to leave me hanging for 5 days. I am going to need a few days off now. I am glad to hear mom is doing alright. I figured no news was good news. Debi~ Stillman's QWL takes it off so quickly when we stay on plan! Looking forward to your weekly weigh in! Doit~ I absolutely milk and cheese, however they aren't good for humans, raw or pasteurized. I still will drink some every blue moon, and I will still have cheese but not like I use to. Amy~ It is amazing, but the hunger does go away after 3 or 4 days. I am a BIG eater, too! Dill pickles are out, although you probably already guessed that. You can have as much lean protein as you desire. Good choices are what you prefer to eat. I like steak (all fat removed), chicken tenderloins (grilled), fish (grilled), 96% fat free hamburger (spiced up like chili or tacos). Try eating 4 - 6 ounces every couple of hours, instead of eating 3 larger meals. Jennifer~ How is it going for you? |
