Hi Hotties!

Okay, I am still up 6.5 pounds from my low. Although, I have lost each day this week, so I am happy about that. I haven't decided if I am going to have a cheat or not for Thanksgiving weekend. I may limit a cheat to an Atkin's day, not the full blown carbs with cheesecake! I don't even care for traditional Thanksgiving food, and that is what will be served. So, I am safe on Thursday.

No exercise yet today. I am watching two basketball games right now, and I am also flipping on other games! I am a freak! Go Spurs!

Debi~ Sweetie, it is tough when we've stuck with plan, but the scale is not registering our efforts. It is so easy to get stinkin' thinkin'. I speak from experience, which is why I've been yo-yo-ing! Hang in there. Have you recently been exercising more? If so, your body may be retaining water as it repairs those muscles you're building. Is TOM due? Again, we all know this causes water rentention. Whatever the case, just hang in there. We will do this!

Slatman~ Ooops, I guess you don't want the hour glass curves! We all want it off fast, and Stillman's QWL is way better over Atkins for speedy weight loss. It is nice to have a man on board for a different perspective. Just ignore all of our TOM (time of month) chatter.

Michele~ Sometimes being busy keeps our bored little hands out of the pantry. I know weekends are tougher for me, because I am off work and am out and about more. You are doing so well!

Everyone else... Have a wonderful weekend, and let's stay on plan!

5 1/2 weeks until Christmas and 6 1/2 until the new year! We can do it!

186.6 this morning... Probably would have been more if I didn't have dried fruit and some nuts last night while watching TV.

But... a 2. loss is ok with me.

I have a headache this morning... I know it's cause I'm detoxing. I had it yesterday too.

I'm gonna just drink water maybe with some lemon and agave necture or maple syrup till it goes away.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Hotties!

I am down another 2 pounds, which makes 7 pounds in 5 days! That is what happens when I am up so much, it just melts off pretty quickly. I am almost in the 160's again, which I only saw one day last time. My goal is somewhere in the 150's, or a size 8/10.

I am meeting family at a steakhouse for lunch. Oh, you all know this is my weakness. The good news is my son is spending the night with sis, so the alone time will be nice for one night.

Okay, I have to make it to the gym or exercise BEFORE I watch basketball today. That may be harder than avoiding those steak fries at lunch.

Melly~ You are missed. I sure hope you feel better. It is certainly from all the stress with your mom and long hours you've been having to pull. Hang in there.

Doit~ I hope you are feeling better, too. Are you looking forward to our nice Thansgiving break and soon winter break? One of my teacher friends in the east only gets a week and a day off for Christmas. We start ours Dec 15 after school and go back January 2. How long do you get?

Everyone else... How are you doing? What struggles have you overcome? Do you need to buckle down more? Let's get this weight off!! We want to look hot in our little black dresses (or suit)!

Hi Hotties!

slatman! Nice to have a guy's perspective on things!

Melly -I know exactly how you're feeling because I feel the same way. Hope we both feel better soon!

Hoops -I love Thanksgiving food unfortunately, and am planning on lots of turkey and small tastes of a couple of my favorites. Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it. Enjoy your lunch and your quiet night at home.

doit -Feel better!

Debi -Try not to let the # on the scale get to you. I'm the same way, so I've decided to stay off till New Years. I'm sick of my day being ruined by a stupid hunk of metal.

Hi to all!

Thanks... Jenn and Laura... I still have the headache... I went till about 4 pm then I had a banana... about an hour after that I had another one. I'm thinking of having a salad... haven't had one since Monday for lunch...

Laura... School vacation for Thanksgiving starts on Tuesday after school. All the drivers have to report to the bus garage on Wed. morning or we won't get paid for Wed or for Thanksgiving, unless we take a personal day. I'm not gonna do that cause I have only 2 left for the year. We get 3 a year and a sick day a month. Christmas vacation starts on the 22nd I think and goes till the 2nd.

Guess who ate the onion at the steakhouse for lunch? ME!!!! My sis does atkins, so we both cheated a little. So, I ate the onion and my steak. I gave my potato to my son.

Ooops... I just realized I didn't exercise and I've been watching hoops! I am SO bad!

I saw an ex-bf while I was out today. He told me I look good and asks me a couple times, "So, are you single?" I should've said, "Why, do you have a nice friend to set me up with?"

Doit~ We get 15 sick days each year, 1 personal day, and 0 vacation days! We work 185 days each year. When are we going to vote to only have school Monday thru Thursday?

Slatman~ I would've wanted a hotdog! You did well resisting, especially since day 2 is the toughest day of a fast, for me anyway.

Jennifer~ It sounds like you have a good plan for Thanksgiving.

I decided with mom and sis that I will eat LC that day. Sis does LC and is making shrimp/cheese/bacon baked wraps. I am going to make strombili, minus the crust. Mom is recruiting my nephew and my son to help her make traditional Thanksgiving food, none of which I like.

Hi girls
I really have to appologize to all of you.....although I don't always get to address each and everyone of you personally when I'm here I DO read everything and am keeping up with all of you. It just seems that my time here is so limited that I barely have time to fly-by and say hi.......hey that rhymes!!!!! But I want you all to know that I am still here and trying to follow and promise to post more regularly and individually once my life slows down a bit.......whenever that is....soon I

Congrats to all those who are doing well and and to those that need them.

I am slowly getting better. Today was a little bit better but it still seems that by the time afternoon and evening rolls around I am drained Everyone at work has now had this "whatever" it is that we are passing around. Our office is SO small that it was inevitable that we would all get it. The last guy to get it called in today saying that he finally got it and was staying home. There are 5 of us in our office and let me tell you it is SMALL!!! It used to be a gas station years ago and it is split in 2 offices with 4 desks and we are on top of each other literally.....coughing and sneezing and gagging all over each other........nice huh

My mom is doing quite well. We have a family meeting Tuesday there at the rehab center (still can't bring myself to call it a Nursing Home) and will evaluate her treatment progress. I still do not see her going home for at least another week or 2 at the earliest.....we will see.

Thanks again to ALL of you for all the love and support you send both verbally and silently.......you guys are the greatest

Anyone interested in a stepping it up a notch challenge perhaps immediately following Thanksgiving weekend? We can all pick something to work on individually and stay cheat free! Who is in????

Melly~ You may be just overcoming being sick, although I can feel that positiveness in your post. Things are getting better! I am glad to read your mom with leave the rehab within a few weeks. You're definitely missed.

Yup.. Melly I feel like it ... I feel pretty dang good. Except for this headache that won't go away... But I know I'm detoxing.. so that's what gets me throuth it. I have 48 years of bad eating to detox from. It's not gonna happen overnight.

Boy I tell ya when it rains it pours God must really be trying to see how strong I am.....He must know something I don't!!!!

I went to my mom's house this morning to get her a few things and she asked me to check her house phone for messages.....one of them was for me.....it was my ex-s-i-l trying to get ahold of me.......she had tried to call me on Tuesday. My son's father passed away last Saturday and they were trying to get in touch with me to get in touch with my son.

There is alot of history there that I will not bore you with but having to tell my son his father died was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. They had not had much of a relationship but it was still his father and for any of you that have lost a parent you know the kind of pain that brings.

Please remember him in your prayers.....I am sure that he is going to have alot of feelings and emotions to deal with......thanks again for being my rock
