Hi Y'all.........

Dang I can't shake this depression, and I'm not one that really suffers with depression, this sucks...........

Well I'm back up a pound but down a pound from last time I changed siggie, so now I'm 194, I'll take it, but darn I long to be in the 80's just for a change of pace, I've been bobbing around in the mid 90's for some time now.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

It is beautiful here today.............Sunny and in the mid 70's, I have all of the windows open, feels like spring time. I think I'm going to try and get out in the pretty sunshine shortly, I'm sure that will help my mood.

Pammy~~~ I've seen that dad and his son on Dateline or 20/20, cried like a baby the entire time I watched it.

Doit~~~ Good Luck on your fast.......I really need to give that a try again. A couple of years ago I made it for 14 days, but I didn't break it properly thus gaining back most of the weight. I would think now is the time I could do it, I'm not really hungry, but if I make myself eat then I can't stop, so I'm thinking of starting a water fast Sunday and going as long as I can, but no longer than 14 days.

Hi to everyone else, sorry that I'm still not up to "talking much", hopefully will get back to "normal" soon.............

Woke up this morning with a head cold. So now my throat, which was finally not feeling like it was on fire 24/7, is raw again from coughing and draining (sorry for the ) Good thing is, I have no appetite.

marking my spot....

Karen... you might need some thing temporary for your depression... ask your doc.... depression for me is paralyzing... and a dark dark place...
which you do not need right now... I also get panic attacks... I take Xanax for that.... and with both my life is so much better as I work thru the dramas of life... hugs..

Good Morning Girls!!!!
I am alive and well......went to the gym this morning and did 48 minutes on the eliptical and was all done after that. I have not been doing much weight lifting because my carpal tunnel is bothering and I am trying to rest it.

I was off yesterday and spent the day with my momma. I got there early and helped her get bathed (she still can't have a real bath or shower) and dressed. I ran to her house real quick to get her mail and when I got back she had her makeup on and was looking great. She is much better.....I don't remember if I mentioned that they moved her to a private room but that has made all the difference in the world. She is smiling and laughing and feeling alot better.....Praise God!!! She is getting around quite well considering and her mental is alot better. She will probably get her staples out this weekend or the beginning of the week and will be able to have a bath then......I can't imagine how good that will feel.

The night before Aliyah was having a melt down and needed some mommy time.....she was just overwelmed with EVERYTHING...school, teachers, homework, volleyball, friends and mom She bawled and bawled and talked to me and I think felt better afterwards. I "spent the night" with her and we cuddled all night. I let her sleep in yesterday, since I was off, and took her to school instead of her having to get up so early to catch the bus. After school I took her shopping and got her a few new things......new clothes ALWAYS make a girl feel good....right?

Karen I am sorry to hear you are struggling sweety.....sounds like you need a good cry and a time out from life to take care of yourself Sometimes that just isn't possible, trust me I know, but as caregivers we have to remember to take time for ourselves or we will be no good to anyone including ourselves The other morning on the way to the gym I ran over a rabbit and it might as well have been a kid because I was bawling by the time I got to my girlfriends house to pick her up for the gym and when she asked me what was wrong all I could get out was "I killed a rabbit"........OMG she thought I meant I was pregnant Needless to say we both got a good laugh out of that one

Pam I am glad to know I am in your thoughts.....have a wonderful vacation

Michele.. I am taking a sail course in my own neighborhood.. cuz I do not want to go too far away from my mom....and want to be able to sail by myself... feeling 56 years young....lol... and I am soooo excited...

now I have to go study my knots... and read 5 chapters to be ready for my exams...

Melly I am thrilled to hear how your mom is doing... keep on keeping her cheered up... laughter is what got me thru... with my mom and brought her back out of her depression.....God is soooo good.... and I am trusting for a complete recovery for your mom.. esp since she is not out of the horrific pain she had to endure.... give her a hug from Pammy

great job DOIT, I was planning a water fast this weekend, but I read the yogurt thread over in the main lobby and made the jello/yogurt combo. well, it finally started to set some, so that was my breakfast, its so sweet I couldnt even eat a cup of it, and I am out of ketosis since I went out drinking last night , but Im still not hungry, and its hours later

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to Stillman's starting Monday because higher fat Atkins is going too slowly to keep me motivated. Anywho, I'm wondering if ya'll could post some menus. The thought of eating dry chicken breast or plain tuna for a week just doesn't seem doable. I'm going to check out the S-man's recipe site too. Just want some ideas!

Holly,

I eat a lot of sliced turkey breast dipped in mustard (Boar's Head, since it has no preservatives). I cook eggs in Pam, and also find that if I cut chicken breast into strips and cook in Pam it doesn't dry out as much as keeping the breast whole.

Good luck! Sillman's QWL is tough but it works!

Hi Hotties!

I've been watching hoops on the new TV and just otherwise busy the past several days. In fact, I have the Spurs game on now!

I haven't read all the posts, because if I start I know I won't finish due to the game, and I won't ever get this post off. After saying that, I hope you all are doing well!
